types get a bed in a newly opened asylum in your area

Believing the Federal government would ever make a major investment like that in public healthcare is by far the most delusional thing I've seen on this thread.

Lot's of us buy our paraphernalia from China through AliExpress and DHGate

I'm more worried about the fact supply chains are now global. Even stuff "made in America" has components or tools required for production that are made in China.

Or I should say I would be worried about it if I actually believed they're gonna do the tariffs.

It's amazing how many of you are totally brainwashed by mainstream media. Don't worry as your president will make sure you "can't handle reality" types get a bed in a newly opened asylum in your area. Help is on th way
LOL brainwashed? Sorry, but I am a Republican and saw this movie before. It already happened with tariffs on Laundry goods during the first term. Fortune ran an article on this but essentially the price of ALL laundry goods including those made in the US increased roughly by $150 after a protective tariff was initiated.

We have already heard numerous countries including China that have stated that if the US starts a trade war they will follow suit. Me I'm still waiting for that Promised wall that Mexico is paying for.

Good news... I kinda doubt an admin full of business scam artists is gonna crash the stock market with across the board tariffs.

I ordered my FC-199 a few days ago. One rumor I read said tariffs will go into effect Feb 2, 2025. I wonder if I will need to pay more before the item is even shipped, or if DHGate or SAML Glass will have to eat the cost. @Samlglass , do you know what might happen with in process orders if new tariffs are put into effect?

If the tariffs go through as promised buying China Glass will be the least of your problems, I'm afraid.

It’s at least interesting that the same people who oppose these tariffs constantly rant about ending capitalistic greed, which is precisely what harboring for low priced knock offs results in.
Are you seeing signs of tariffs starting to impact your business already?

I just saw this too
The president also suspended de minimis rules for Canada that allow small packages valued at less than $800 to enter the United States on a duty-free basis.

Well, the USPS isn’t accepting packages from China (letters and flats are ok), and the president suspended de minimis rules for China as well. The days of cheap crap from China drop shipped to the USA might be over, at least for now. Who knows, Trump may change his mind tomorrow!

This is very funny given how many 💪Sigma Grindset💪 Shopify Dropshipping Bros voted for Trump.

Oh well. Nevertheless. The Amazon Fulfillment Gulags are hiring. In fact, the Bros are somehow already off-task.

If the biggest whine is 10 points on the import of some cheap glass from CN count yourself lucky. Meanwhile folks in MX and CA are supposed to sit for bilateral negotiations on this self imposed BS waste of time with Damocles also in attendance. But the orangeone is certainly putting a resolve in the CA population towards stepping away from this relationship and getting CA production to other shores. Hopefully the resolve outlasts this administration so we never find ourselves here again.

yep, this is not a good situation and my heart goes out to all those affected in CA and MX. And yes, from my perspective I'm looking at a few dollars off some products and a potentially much longer wait to get them. I think everyone (except the great pumpkin of the USA) that broad tariffs are a bad idea and will not help to achieve his goals of bringing manufacturing to the USA.

That said, many folks here order from Ali and DHGate and have an interest in how this all turns out.
