Taffee Bowle or Solo 3

I have my eye on the TB and the Solo 3. Each has their own strengths IMO -

Solo 3 -

- Cheap compared to TB2
- Conduction heating style - I've always liked the high from conduction. Pure convection always leaves me wanting something more. I feel like the strongest convection doesn't quite give me the high that a great hybrid does. Even with my desktop ball vape - I wasn't into it until I grabbed a TI bowl for a heatsoak situation.
- Seems incredibly powerful.
- Accessories readily available. I can get a WPA with my initial order.
- I enjoy a session device. I'm more apt to "sip" instead of taking massive hits.

Taffee Bowle 2 -

- Vapor smoothness is apparently unrivaled.
- It sounds insanely powerful.
- It just seems like a top-of-the-line device.

I've heard the solo 3 can have harsh vapour and the bowle is insanely smooth. Honestly, I think my biggest priority is the quality and strength of the high. I'm not much of a flavour chaser, but I do prefer a smooth hit. I prefer a conduction or hybrid high, but I've heard that the Tafee Bowle can give you something similar just by heatsoaking it a bit. I'm kind of leaning SoloIII based on price and hybrid heating, but I'm curious if anyone has any side-by-side comparisons or general impressions.

Have not had the pleasure of trying the Solo 3. But I worry that as lovely as the Bowle is, you may not get the dense kind of hits that you are getting from a ball vape with a heat soaked bowl. It is a wonderful flavorful hit from an innovative design that I love.

So if by quality of high is a priority, I'd say Bowle gives a nice functional high that is very well suited to daytime vaping or when you want to get other things done. But not what I'd call a strong high, or a device I'd call a heavy hitter. A good complement to a ball vape tho.

Hope that helps.

It does! I do like a heavy hitter because I'm not a daytime vaper at all. I'm strictly in the evenings and sometimes I wanna be outside or at my couch instead of stuck to my desk.

For you I would recommend the Solo 3. I own both as well as the other popular handhelds. The TB2 is FANTASTIC, it's my favourite handheld device actually. But I like it because of it's taste and speedy performance. It sounds like you want more of what the solo 3 brings and it does great job at an awesome price. I don't think it's the best but if you want dense hits and can deal with the large formfactor and tight draw it's a great reliable device you won't regret.

What else would you target based on what I described there? Just out of curiosity? I had my eye on the venty but that RMA stuff puts me off.
