Well, I was planning using it in bed... Shouldn't I?And be careful not to torch your kitchen countertop if it's laminate. Had to sell the house
I replaced the silicone with aluminium foil and then I bend some SS wire around to fix it. Since 5 months I am using it like that and never had a problem. If i can give you one very important tip!
When using such big flames make sure you keep them at the top half of the heat exchanger!!!
Any lower and you will torch the silicone and the temperature sensor!!
Just keep that in mind!
Yeah, thats also my favorite way! I heat up to about 190°C and then take the first draw. The temperature will rise a bit more, maybe up to 210°C. After the second draw when it is cooling down, I slide the stem all in and finish the bowl. All this talk of pure convection has got me testing and we love testing.
I've been stsrting out with thd stem barely in silicon.
The flavor if possible is even more intense.
After a few good hits slide stem the rest of the way. And get all my CBD"s with a full roast only the sv3 can provide.

.
I posted an adapter a few pages back that works really well for this full convection tech!!
Have a look here:

It is the Vapocane adapter in the middle of the picture.
It holds a small basket inside for the herb and works like a bomb!!
It is a truly different experience with the herb located outside the device!
I think I might try this with my Versa Infinity bowls, will be interesting to see how they differ as before the Supreme my Infinity was my DD and hardest hitter and it's standard usage was much like you describe here, strong convention airflow into a bowl situated outside the heat source.
FC community rocks.
I've never use my Supreme. I ordered a torch for it and am so intimidated by it that I've never tried. Before I give up and sell it I'd like to know if I can use a pocket torch- the kind I use with my vapcaps instead of the large torch.
I'm not sure this will work with my torches. I think 5 minutes of use will make all of mine too hot to hold. I guess I can switch between torches to make it to 5 minutes but that would be a pain. You can when turned up all the way but it will take a long time, to the point where your torch may get hot. I would guess around 5 straight minutes of torching with a small torch to get up to temp. Not practical but certainly possible.
Is a brulee torch that intimidating?I'm not sure this will work with my torches. I think 5 minutes of use will make all of mine too hot to hold. I guess I can switch between torches to make it to 5 minutes but that would be a pain.
This helps my decision. Thanks.
Not very good at splaining my self.My only complaint about the Supreme, and any advice/tips etc would be greatly appreciated...
How do I install the white or red (especially) without tearing them to shreds? Is it even possible!??
and another tip from your compadre on the same pageI've posted this before, but I've found the trick is to use the tip of a pen to stretch it and place it.
I find the easiest way to install the red grommet is to hold it firmly on the tube with my left thumb and then stretch it over the top of the tube carefully with ,my right thumb and forefinger. A bit of lube also helps a lot, i use glycerine for this. You can also take some fine sandpaper and round off the edge of the tube so as not to cut the grommet.
