It's official. I like my dab hits in my Supreme V3 more than my EVO. It's more tasty and so much easier to handle. I can't count the number of times I burnt myself with the nails on the EVO.
Yes. The thermometer sensor just has too be held tight to the heating tube about 1-2mm below the heating block. It is held in place with a silicone tube so nothing special about it or the way it is attached. Is it possible to hook up your own digital temp thermometer should the stock one crap out on you? Replacing it with something of your choice?

Can't wait to try dabs myself. What is your technique? It's official. I like my dab hits in my Supreme V3 more than my EVO. It's more tasty and so much easier to handle. I can't count the number of times I burnt myself with the nails on the EVO.
It was probably the glass-tipped probe causing the variance. I did some testing with this cheap thermocouple and my temp readings were extremely close to the readings on the unit. It's not quite so easy though...
I tried just for fun and had readings that were way off.
I used a glass tipped probe and it read about 15 degrees C lower than the original temp probe.
So be careful as your results will vary but yes it is possible!
I was thinking of buying a cheap scientific temp probe to see what was really happening!

Me too, @shaolinmilk, what are you doing? I've got to think it's a low temp hit that will taste better than any true dab hit. But maybe it's thicker?!Can't wait to try dabs myself. What is your technique?
I just realized I never stop at the click. Never have and probably never will.
I always load the Supreme with 4 or 5 chunks of flower. I heat twice per load to my max temp of 170-175c and let it creep up to 185-190c. I will get 5 or 6 hits each heating by the time it is down to 140c and then the vapor is too wispy for me. Sometimes I stay with one strain fornthe load, sometimes each chunk is a different strain. All depends on how wild my wild hair is...
For shatter or wax or distillate or rosin I always follow this same method making sure I leave about 3/16" empty at the back of the tube. I stand the tube up vertically on a table and I melt my concentrate off the dab tool onto the top of the flower. I used to put some flower on top to make a sandwich but now I dont since I never turn it upside down anyway. I also go about 10-15c higher in temp and I reheat 3 times.
Just my more recent method but this thing works so many ways its hard not to switch it up everynow and then. Like the other night, I just randomly decided to try a random glass mouthpiece I had laying around on the Supreme and hit it dry. I have hit the Supreme out of my j-hook for about a dozen sessions total maybe so I am not used to dry. It was completely satisfying of course!
I believe that was @stickstones who said he was scared of it. It's ok, though. People confuse us for each other all the time. When Stu was saying this vape downright scares him... wow, I get it now.
That was me. Definitely not Stu. That mofo is the Chuck Norris of vaping!I believe that was @stickstones who said he was scared of it. It's ok, though. People confuse us for each other all the time.
Just received my secondhand unit today from a fellow FC member. One thing I quickly noticed is a loose component in the heat exchanger/aluminum block. Is this normal? If you shake it, it rattles? I can touch it with my finger and its move it from side to side just a bit. I can grab a photo if you guys need me to take one.
Its the section of the aluminum block where air appears to enter.
That's the way I like it. Lol@Melting Pot
Sweet set up!
You hit the S3 dry all the time?
That would be a serious punch to the inner face!
