Discontinued Supreme Vaporizer

BH, I'd start around 175°C and adjust up or down from there. I like using hand torn or a course grind w/ this. That way I can use a higher temp & the flavor sticks around longer.

Although, if your searching for max clouds & max medication, a fine or medium grind works great. If the temps real high the flavor goes kapoof in that 1st hit, but oh what a hit. And the convection high from the Sup gives me that fuzzy in the temple kind of high I used to get from Sherlock bubblers.

Ditto. It's like as soon as I go over 190c i'm not too happy with flavour, but as soon as I dip below 180c i'm not as satisfied with the vapour output (pending strain), so I find 185c the perfect sweet spot for me. Problem is, I use 2 different torches, and sometimes it's hard to predict the "climb", and easy to overshoot.

I'm going through butane like no tomorrow! is butane butane? Can I use this? If the connection fits my torch (I think it does) should it be no problem? Or is it ONLY for camping stoves, etc. and is going to cause my torch to explode?

I usually use a propane torch but it takes about twice the time to heat up, but more cost efficient.

Common Electric version already! :mmmm:
I use a propane torch that you can buy at Walmart for $15. Refills are $3.50. Takes 60-90 seconds to get to temp. I rest the bottle on the table (almost horizontal) with the flame angled up. Then I can look away for a few seconds and be confident that the flame will not have moved off my intended target.

I do the same thing! But, i'm an impatient bastard, and fire up that torch several times a day, and just so much prefer using the butane creme brule torch because that 60-90s gets cut in less than 1/2. I do like the temp stability of the slower heatup though. First world problems. I still can't even fathom how quickly I went through one of those propane cylinders! :whoa:

@Morty i'm a coarse shred fan myself! It's incredible what a fine consistency or drop of kief can do at the right temp in terms of milkage!

I think it's time for a SV3 overhaul myself.... gotta change that silicone ring that holds the temp sensor that my girl keeps on melting! But i'm just happy that she's a Supreme Snob and can hit it like no other vape before! So nice to see her medicated for basically the first time!

The silicone on the bottom of mine is now BROWN from so much use! Time to swap it out too!

Oh, and what about soaking the entire SV3 heat exchanger block in ISO? Necessary?

@biohacker I'd ask @lazylathe about soaking the heat exchanger block in ISO. Earlier in the thread he tried the same thing & if I recall correctly, had trouble getting any flavor from it for awhile.

Edit: Nevermind. Thinking of another post.

Seems pretty straightforward.

I've only had mine 2 1/2 months, but the silicone on the bottom is no longer white, but a yellow reddish color. I love this picture of @Mister G and his Sup. You can tell he uses it HARD!!!

Oh, my bad, I misunderstood. I've gotta remember who the pros are here after I go "supreming." ;)

I was a torch noob a few months ago. I didn't know you could get something so powerful for so cheap!

Or you could use a 14mm Male to Female Adapter w/ Herbalizer Aromapads which keeps the 'trates outside the heat source. Krazy flavor! Add a screen (Vapocane screen used below) & now your doing double deckers.

I can't recommend the convection setup w/ the Supreme enough. It gives a completely different signature (hard & heavy!) & flavor, still generates fat clouds, and if your into microdosing, this is a GREAT way to do it. Vapes the smallest amounts effortlessly. It really is like having a few different vapes in one. And it's a great way to tame VAS. Cheaper too.

Could you explain this setup a little more? What do I need to buy and where do I put things? :) Why does it work better for microdosing?

Thanks.

@biohacker @Morty

I soaked my whole unit in new 99% ISO that was heated up on the stove for about 30 minutes.
Got some bud fragments and a slight yellow tint, so it does collect some residue.
Lots of bottled water rinses and dry carefully. I shook a lot of water out and then in the oven at low to dry it out 100%.
New silicone all around and she was good to go again!

Wow I always thought that heating the block with the bowl inserted would cause some buildup
eventually. I guess I was right!?
I'm not ready to disassemble the block from the temp. readout just yet.
It appears to be an easy job ,but my Block is still working fine, and I'm a
lazy fuck.
If it ain't broke don't fix it. LOL

I don't think there is such a thing as a "non-functional" Supreme vaporizer. I think it would take someone deliberately trying to destroy it to make it not be able to function.
Talk about words coming back to bite you in the ass. My SV3's thermometer no longer works. A couple of days ago I was mid warm up and after what felt like forever the temp just sat at 78*F. I hit the button to change from Fahrenheit to Celsius and the screen just went blank.
Now if I turn it on it does the same thing, sits at 70 - 80 degrees and then the screen just goes blank.
I'll try to get a video of it.
I wonder if I can send it in for repairs or just purchase and swap out the thermometer?

Try replacing the battery! Always works for me. They last a year or so and then give funky readings.

If I blow into the intake I usually get a puff of vapour and some dust/debris come out when at vaping temp. However, with the temps the heat exchanger is exposed to you would think that the buildup would simply be isolated to the stem coming out of it? I wouldn't even really call it buildup since it's such a small wisp of vapour that comes out.

I'm not ready to disassemble the block from the temp. readout just yet.

This big time! lol Mine doesn't look great but it still works perfectly so i'm waiting until I really have to make the adjustments.

Just did this recently! Mine simply wouldn't turn on all of a sudden. Picked up a 6 pack of batteries from the dollar store, and 2 mins later back in biz!

@lazylathe have you considered hacking your own SV3 with a coil/pid to make your own electric? Maybe clamp the 2 together?

Hmmm... Now that you mention it i have a spare 20mm coil lying around!
It will have to wait since the S3 is safely wrapped and packed away until the move...

And as for the thorough cleaning, it was only done because i was bored.
It did not change anything about the way it worked.
Changing the silicone bits and the battery are maintenance enough for this vape!

Sure thing. What I'm using is a 14mm Male to Female Vapocane adapter w/ the Vapocane screens like below.

14mm Male to Female Adapter w/ Vapocane Screens...

1WVkbZT.jpg

...and 14mm Male to Female Adapter w/ Vapocane Screens & Herbalizer Mesh Pads for double deckers Supreme style (thanks @lazylathe!)

Been having more success w/ this setup using hand torn bud or a course grind compared to a medium or fine grind

JpOgKc4.jpg

Any 14mm adapter or joint should work I would think. You could even use regular screens in those as well. You'd just need to find the right distance between the herb & the Supreme.

I ended up getting the Vapocane because of the success @lazylathe reported using this setup. It's completely convection & offers a completely different high than using the SV3 normally.

If I had to do it again, I'd probably just get the Vapocane screens & a 14mm Male to Female adapter from Oregon Glass Blower (probably will here soon actually). It looks pretty much the same as the Vapocane adapter & should work just fine. The glass that came w/ the Vapocane wasn't the best quality (the screens are great though!) & the 14mm adapter that came w/ it doesn't make a 100% seal w/ any of my 14mm joints. It does make a 100% seal w/ Vapocane 18-14mm reducer it came w/, so I pretty much use it w/ my 18mm j-hook right now, which gives an almost perfect fit, which gives me bigger clouds.

I think it's the best way to microdose w/ the Supreme b/c you can use just a pinch, & since the load is completely outside the heat source, once you dial in your temp, you can get nice convective hits from tiny amounts of bud. I like using the convection method dry, w/o water, unless adding the Herbalizer concentrate pads on top to do double deckers.

I agree that a deep cleaning (or soaking) shouldn't be needed for a long, long time. It's good to know though that if/when that day comes, it should be a fairly easy effort. Appreciate the knowledge @lazylathe! All the best on the move!

Perhaps the new Herborizer Ti bowls are usefully for the Sup too?

Okay my good people. I decided you deserved more, I wasn't happy not knowing how to copy the photos Sebastien sent me, so I figured it out for y'all! I almost feel like a proper member now.

First up, the concentrate and essential oil Ti bowl:

The microdose bowl:

And most of all I expect, the DigiTi:

There you go. Short and sweet, hope you enjoyed!:)

@jabba, damnit, I mean @Hogni (I'll get it right one of these days!), the Sup only goes about halfway down/into a 14mm joint, so those new HTi bowls probably won't work. Would be super kewl if they did though!

So what's up w/ your Supreme @Hogni ? You haven't posted about it. Let us know what your impressions are. Good or bad. Oh, and...bukkake, bukkake, bukkake!

@alex, goddamnit!, I mean @Alexis, how dare you sir infer that there are other vaporizers besides the Supreme. There are not! Only the Sup! :p

We'll see. Will buy the new HerbTi parts for sure.

Don't remember me :ugh:

Delivered to my US adressee beginning of June.
Forgotten by my US courier end of June.
Another potential courier refused to bring it along cause its canna stuff.
Now another courier who wanted bring it along mid of Sept. had to cancel his travel to Germany.
Next option probabely mid of Nov.

I could cry......

Don't cry @Hogni. And how can I forget thee. I didn't hear about the last 2 incidents. That sucks ass bro! Sorry to hear that. At least you got the Herbi Ti, Apollo & SBJ to hold you over till then. Nice!

Don't get me wrong. I think it would be the shit if those new HTi bowls work w/ the Sup. I'd have to get some. But if you look at the photos I posted above, you can see where the screen placement is in the joint. This is about the optimal distance you want, and the lower you go from there, the lighter the vaping experience gets.

If you like using whole nugs in your Vapcap, your gonna love the Supreme.

I have a question.

None of my other vapes do this. When I go to a high enough temperature, the vapor I exhale has a hint of yellow. Is this because of the fact that the vapor is so dense it creates this colour? None of my other vapes do this besides the SV3.

I have combusted recently a few times by accident in my Omnivap and bubbler, pushing things with the induction heater.
It is almost a traumatic sight seeing that dense white vapor suddenly double thicken and turn a yellow shade! Yuck! As if the experience isn't bad enough, a whole fresh load is wasted. So I have only ever seen this yellow in my vapor past the point of combustion.

Maybe the yellow is a certain aspect of vapor that is not dependant on combustion, but usually is only created past combustion temps?
And maybe the Supreme can get that little bit extra out without having to cross that border?

Im sure some Supreme ownere will find some resonance to this logic. I think the explanation is not too far from here, but we can only conject.

@shaolinmilk When you say high enough temperature, what temp exactly ? I was talking the other day about how I don't like to go above 375°-380°F, and when I do my AVB goes from a dark brown to black.

@WakeAndVape You've been using your Sup in the high range regularly. Are you seeing any yellow tint to the vapor in the high 300's ?
That's the range I stay in as well. I never ever go above that. When I look at my AVB afterwards, it's perfectly fine and nothing combusted. I'm wondering if @WakeAndVape gets this yellowish vapor I'm talking about.

Looking forward to hearing your results...have we had a thermometer go belly up yet other than the battery?

I've never seen a yellow tinge in my sv3 vapour output, only blue! I've also never experienced black abv... the super dark brown coffee roasted colour tastes gross enough! These days i'm happy with a nice tan or even straw colour abv.

I agree and...Me too. Saw @shaolinmilk 's AVB jar this morning.
https://www.reddit.com/r/vaporents/comments/6ybpy0/my_small_collection/ That shade, or to a light brown is how I like it.

I've never seen a yellow tinge in my sv3 vapour output, only blue!
Crazy! I just cleaned my bong, so in the next couple days I'll be doing high temps exclusively & see if I can't get some of this yellow or blue vapor. Appreciate your feedback @WakeAndVape & @biohacker.

Just got my WPA for SBJ & have been testing that combo out. While I like it a lot, it makes me love my SV3 even more & the repeatable results I can achieve w/ the temp display. I'm considering selling my Sup to fund a Dually. The ability to heat both tubes up from room temp 100% conduction style & hit back to back w/o waiting would be nice. We'll see. Still debating it.
