Sticky Brick Labs Vaporizer

Just popped in to say despite planning to sell it,
and having a ELEV8R (#1 IMO)
and a log (Heat Island)....

I still pick up my Sticky Brick every other day!
There is just something about the handheld ritual that can't be replaced! For me, coming from smoking anyway.

Plus, since you seem to naturally be just like the rest of us nuts, variety is important.
It's nice to have plenty of different options to choose from, depending on mood and environment.
I suspect that you're a hobbyist/collector at heart, like the rest of us

Hello fellow Bricks,

is it possible to close the Sticky JR’s lid when the 14mm WPA is attached?

Ok, thank you for your information.

Can the small D020 bubbler
...(the one with the rounded top)...
be used with the Sticky U shaped WPA with a Junior?

you know what I mean?
maybe there is too little room for the Junior.

So I have been testing the Junior SB for a week now.
Native and with the mini bubbler.

it gets the job done well.
But I can't find a way to produce decent AVB.
When I go aggressive than the load gets charred.
I even once combusted with it.

the bowl in the Jr. is way bigger than a DynaTip holds.
But I can get deeper extraction with the Vapcap.

Help ?

I dunno, with all the recent glass purchases, one of these for $120 in walnut certainly sounds intriguing...:

I don't (yet) own one these and never used one, but it being a convection butane vaporizer, I have to ask, are you stirring each bowl a couple times...? I've found that primarily conduction type vapes, like DV, don't require it as much... :peace:✌️

Hello Stickies,

@Bologna
Hello, yes, I stir before every draw. Got it habituated quickly. It's joy to flick around the Junior parts.
Including the world's best toothpick.
Really, what is this made out of?

Still, I am having trouble to finish a load in the Junior.
The first terry hit has great flavor.
How do you spent a load in the Junior.

I can divide my Junior AVB in two Caps of the Dyna and still get 1-3 hits out of it.
The question is: How do you get Dynavap AVB like AVB with the Junior ?

or rather, "how do you get conduction-like results with a portable convection device?" Sorry, but posed as stated, it seems a rather "tall" or unreasonable request...

(And seeing now you're no "spring chicken" to vaping, is this query not more rhetorical in nature?)

is it just me or does a brick want a larger/stronger flame than the Aomai flint torches can bring to the table?

I watched many videos on tube and reddit. Have not seen anybody using a Aomai with their bricks.

I've used my Aomai before. But yeah, a bit of a stronger torch than that is what I prefer.

I don't think that's unusual though. It would seem that most people feel that way.

Do you guys think triple flame torch (dyna cyclone torch) would work better with an SBL vape? Getting hotspots or combusting easily with the honest single flame. My technique sucks.

Hi @vapor_bonsai !
First, do you use a restrictor disc ?

Then, i would try to never go past the ridge of the flame intake glass with the blue "spear" of my jet lighter... if that makes sense to you...and try to inclinate your flame a bit too… as if you wanted to make a whirl with that hot air flux...
You might need to steer your bowl fully after each other draw...

If that is ok with your technique, you might try to inhale shorter and faster ?

I’ve been using the the OG here and there between Dynavap and FP sessions. It’s a great vape for a special vape session, taking things up a notch or chasing the flavors but I couldn’t hit this all day everyday. It’s the same reason I sold my other Bricks, they seem to give me a tight feeling in my throat. No problem, I just can’t over do it.

I didn’t think I would like the maple but it’s really growing on me and I even had a few accessories I wasn’t using that are pairing perfectly with it.

The OG is very tame compared to other bricks and I do find it less harsh. I’ve been pretty carelessly torching without a restrictor disc and having no problems. It was a long journey getting here but Im leaning towards the OG being my favorite out of the lineup. 9E96D984-B1CD-4B12-BA87-E2742933EC1A.jpeg

I got my Runt about two hours ago. I'm going to love it, I packed a bowl and got pretty good hits on my first few tries (mainly due to the many pages I've read of this thread before giving it a go), then i got cocky and leaned into a rip a bit too much 🔥🌪️.

Oops.

Rematch booked for later.

Welcome, and good first post. Yep, there’s a small learning curve, but the only way to dial it in is to scorch a bowl or two. It will soon become second nature. Have fun!

Put a few bowls through it last night. Scorched 1 but the rest were huge cloudy and tasty successes. I tried a few different lighters and like many have said before be it's all about matching draw speed with flame distance, getting that distinct turbine sounding whistle going and feeling the heat take over the chamber.

The only reason I scorched a second bowl was in a fugue state I stared at the intake whilst torching it. I was off in space and the two second error in judgement cost me a bowl of weed.

My Runt is the maple version. I have to say it has a strong smell to it and imparts a smell too. Even after a few bowls I'm getting pretty strong wood and wood wax aroma.

Good to see you’re getting the hang of it. I mostly use my runt with the water adapter, and it’s my go to vape when I want to get really hammered, haha.

I have the walnut and never really noticed much smell, well maybe at beginning, but it wasn’t offensive. Different woods will have different characteristics and freshness levels. The smell will likely diminish as the wood seasons. Maybe someone with a maple brick will chime in.

I just purchased a well used but great condition OG in maple. It has no hint of wood in my hits. I think it will go away with use. I had a bunch of walnut bricks and I could taste the walnut but it to went away.

Well Vas has kicked in and I’m lookin for a vape that won’t ever break like a Dynavap, and that is butane powered, and I’ve heard a lot about this vape hitting especially harder than others. Long story short I’m thinking the OG what everyone’s thoughts ?

This will break if you drop it. But as a vape goes. These things rock. Once you put a few bowls through it and get the hang of draw speed and flame distance you can really get these things to extract at the speed or intensity that suits you.

The bowl hold 3 full Dynavap loads so you can imagine how dense and full the clouds are with a good even heat up.

I have removed the restrictor disc and find it much easier to steer.

I've been experimenting with further distance/lighter draw to get that limonene/pinene terp hit.

Next hit I move the flame a little closer and draw at a slow to medium pace, this gives me 3-4 big cloud hits of flavour.

As the clouds start to thin out I play around with moving flame closer and increasing draw speed which starts to deliver those higher temp terps.

If you like heavy hitting vapes that you have control of then yep I'd recommend one.

If the Runt is a heavy hitter I can only imagine the OG being a step up from that. Which would be nuts.

The OG sounds good. My only comment would be it’s the only brick that’s not water compatible. So, if you don’t plan on using a water piece, go for it!

@MJL thanks for the reply and your technique, that sounds like what I’m after.
@Exsmoker I have Dynavap for water hits, so the OG has my eye
