I'd say this is a pretty solid practical endorsement. You sir have convinced me.

I can vouch for these as well. I moved away from them for a bit as a bit of an A/B test and the bowl got significantly messier than a couple weeks of using them. The loading process is a bit timely but the lack of maintenance for the following week or so is worth it. I've never really had a problem with getting uneven hits though, and you're probably introducing a little bit of conduction with the metal heating up as well.

If you check on ebay there are legit sellers at a slight discount if you factor in shipping. It's a minor cost for something that if you take care of them should last you a while. The capsules themselves are delicate but not fragile thankfully.

I will say having a trench to work in like a rolling tray definitely helps for loading.

I recently got a new butane vape I've been struggling with and I brought it upstairs with me to try and figure it out some more. 1 very frustrated hour later I was very happy I brought my sbj as a backup. 2 quick large tasty bowls later and I'd forgotten all about the last hour and was ready to sleep through being sick again. Not impressed so far with the dosing capsules. The lids either don't fit on flush or if you press them all the way on they become impossible to get off without ripping it off as hard as you can, resulting in bending of the lids and container. They don't get overly hot, which is nice. However, I found the reduced maintenance of not having to stir or clean screens is now replaced by filling capsules and flipping them. A screen is a must, and the screen seems to collect fragments of herb in a way where I can't simply brush them off like when it's at the bottom of the chamber. I positioned a screen between the top and bottom portion of the mouthpiece side. Without a screen you will suck in a noticeable amount of debris. Plus they make the draw resistance noticeably higher and I've never combusted except using a capsule, it's just much harder to gauge internal temps of the chamber with a metal barrier in the way. I'm glad they have worked for some, but I wanted an honest review of my experiences with them so far.

If you engage your lighter before you start inhaling it helps. Remember to start your inhale slow and increase until you feel the vapor.

But, its in RMA purgatory so I'm having a chance to really get to know my SB Jr which, while I have used it, I have not used it regularly enough to feel completely comfortable with it.

I'm really liking it and it can crush a .1 g load very quickly.

I need to learn to not push so hard for that last draw as I do sometimes char. I'm getting great draws with NO char at all at first. Its that "I bet there is one more in there" moment that I have to avoid...cause there ain't another in there unless I want to have some charring.

I even pick it over the hopper as the bowl is twice the size and works much faster then the hopper with its "zero heat up time"

I was always skeptical over torch vapes because I thought it required so much technique but after a week or so I would be nailing it every time, but exactly like you say that you think there is more in the bowl but in reality the only thing is left is to char your avb

only problem for me with the StickyBrick is its too much power for my weak constitution too fill the bowl up every time and get absurdly hammered in the middle of a work day so I keep it for night time and weekends

but I really want the Stickybrick Jr because its such a neat little self contained vape !

its actually amazing how well the stickybrick works because I got non vape friends that have mastered in an evening so yeah torch vapes are much easier tools to use then people think

gulg damn but I could drone on and on and on about Stickybrick never letting anyone else get a word in and fall over backwards

I got no good results from the one I got with the brick but bought a 3x flame one from Ebay and after that it was a dream to use, before it was either Barely a cloud or combustion and now its perfectly roasted every single time

I have to agree those big triple or quad torches help a lot. I feel the same as you @Baron23 . I get better each and every day. I’d have to imagine there’s a Lebrun James of sticky bricks somewhere.

I'm sorry you've had such a rough run with these. You're right that they're ginger little things, but if you deal with them carefully (i.e. don't push the lids down hard, try not to angle them so they're off-canter when placing the lid) I find it's not too difficult to get the lids on and off. A little pressure goes a long way both for putting the caps on and taking them off.

For what it's worth, I never open them up to stir once they're in the brick, though I do use these Brushpicks instead of a wooden tooth pick and find that they're the perfect width to catch a hole in the capsule and lift out either to flip it for even vaporization or to remove entirely - https://www.amazon.com/Brushpicks-250-6822-275-Count/dp/B000P1TYEM. They do take time to fill, but I find it's worth the time to do 8 at once and then not deal with anything until I'm ready to reload again about a week later. As for messiness, I find I have to do a lot more maintenance without them than I do using them. The capsules are easier for me to clean out than the brick is for deeper cleaning and I prefer not having to pull the SBJr screen out or change it regularly over cleaning the capsules.

Keep with them and see if you can make them work for you. If not I'm sure someone here will take you up on them though. To each his own!

Hey wombat, if you have a Storz & Bickel brush very gently run the wooden end around inside of the capsules lids lip. After this is done the lid will effortlessly slip on and off. I use mine on the regular and it is still in great condition, lucky I bought 40. Lol

Having the SBJ for over a month, I would said it is a honeymoon for me, I really love the taste and cloud it produced, very satisfied when it loaded with 0.1g near full bowl, the cloud is crazy.
And I found that the drawing speed can not be too fast, got best result with steady slow draw, if draw fast only get 2 initial good hit and the abv turned yellow and will not produce cloud anymore, so the draw speed have to slow down, it will more easy to char the material if draw too slow, but it could got more good hits and abv turned more brown color, I took a video last night, far heat distance, slow draw, very good taste and cloud

Love my SBJ and watch Sticky Brick Lab IG are making some SBJ in exotic wood, really looking for the final product, but my favorite wood for SBJ is still the spalted maple, I am waiting for they come back in stock.

From your video it looks like you're getting mighty hits, so if you're happy with that then don't worry about changing your technique, but I've got a few tips from my experience so far. You could stand to lower your flame strength a bit and then bring it closer to the intake hole. You can then vary your heat based on breathing technique. This will lower the immediate temperature the green is being hit with and avoid getting a hot spot in the bowl like in your first hit. With proper inhale technique you can definitely get fat rips still but the bowl will likely last a little longer as there are terpines, thc, and cbd in the range of 315-420F, and the more you step up your temperatures in that range through technique the more fully you can extract your bowls and experience a variety of effects of the bud. More extraction means saving more green on buying green which makes everyone happy.

Otherwise I'm glad you're loving it and I guarantee you will even outside of the honeymoon period! Mine will be a part of my collection for a long time to come.

Yes I check it everytime and it is still green after produced massive cloud, sometime can not finish the bowl in once and need to take a break

There are many different ways to use it, all take a bit of practice - i adjusted over the past weeks to taking more short draws, maybe 3-4 sek only, still fat rips but not so fat to cough A bit shorter flame, dipped 2-3mm into the intake and really slow draw, gotta hit the sweet spot right at the start for short big hits...
I only fill one big bowl and take a hit now and then over the day, still the best on demand vape i know
