Who makes the best water pipes? Ask around in the glass community and Sovereignty Glass - sometimes abbreviated to SG or Sov - will be always be among the first responses.
Steve is the mastermind behind many popular designs including the stemline, the pillar, and gridding. Sovereignty glassware puts out some of, if not the cleanest and most consistent production work in the industry, with perfect welds, clean lines, and sexy curves.
As this is our first glass appreciation thread it's important to lay down some ground rules. Appreciation means exactly that, and this thread is about Sovereignty. Posting in here to say you don't like SG or to push other brands will likely be considered trolling and met with a warning. Since SG owners may frequent this thread it may be a good place to get answers from people who know, but please keep the overall vibe appreciation rather than Q&A.
Pictures say it better than I can so let's get this started! Be sure to check out the SG threads on Tokecity and elsewhere to see some of the amazing work and progression over the years.
I don't own a lot of glass compared to many, but the 60mm stemline with natural or 'natty' splashguard is an easy standout to me with its satisfying pull, ideal volume, and attractive shape. A great example of the beautiful marriage of form and function that Sovereignty is revered for.
I was lucky enough to find one that works with the VXC sans adapter.
A worked version of this specific stem12 is one of my top 3 dream tubes.
Clearly I'm not the best person to start this thread, but someone had to do it!
