Right now I'm rocking a Samsung Captivate. My cousin has the Inspire and loves it
. Coming from an iPhone, there's a
huge learning curve with Android. If you decide to keep the stock settings, then you should be alright. If you're adventurous, you can load a custom ROM and start changing fundamental software features. This is where things start getting hairy and a bit of technical know-how is imperative. Check out
XDA forums for more info. Without exaggerating, it took me a good 2 months of intense reading and trial & error before I felt comfortable modifying my phone. You don't
need to mess with your phone's software, but hundreds of people work on optimizing and changing things to unlock your phone's true potential. I'm deciding whether I want to "go to the dark side" and get the new iPhone when it comes out next month :/
BTW one gripe I have is battery life! I consider myself lucky if my phone can last a whole day on a single charge with
light use. If I use my phone to surf the web or anything else, my phone's battery will be dead by late afternoon. YMMV, but the battery on my phone is no bueno.
