Simrell Vaporizer

Even after sold out release there is not much reviews for this one.
It must be a hype most on the USA...
Hopefully some people upload some videos cause rely only on written reviews for such a pricey piece it is not enough for me.
Come on simrell owners, share more ;)

Hard for me to get a video because I only vape outside and weather hasn’t been great. Maybe I’ll try maybe I won’t remember. Also sorry for more words.

But this thing is amazing. I only bought the engine, but will be completing the unit when the stems are released separately. I couldn’t believe how much vapor there was and how good the flavor was with such a light brown roast.

i was considering picking one up but like someone just mentioned, not enough video reviews to warrant such a purchase. also, tempest 2 drops soon & with the excitement of that, i know where my vas $ is going

Never tried a tempest. But have you watched the demo videos on twitch? I know they are all around 3 hours…but skim through one. They preform just like in the video. Dense clouds, even roast and amazing flavor.

i have tried to skim through those videos but it’s too subjective for me. i’d like to see more in depth video reviews from more objective enthusiasts. my main interest is cool/tasty vapor, not necessarily large clouds. i own two tempests and they are wonderful so i know that new-new will really impress me

Cannot deny that if money were not a thing would get both but for now I will be by the side of the tempest 2 crew.If more money comes along who know I may think twice to pay for the simrell one

If I had two Tempests like you, I’d buy a Simrell to try something new
The Tempest 2 looks like a solid upgrade, and this time I’m thinking about getting one.
I received my Simrell a few days ago.
Since it arrived, I have to say it’s been a joy to use every day.
It’s truly an exceptional vape with a pretty short learning curve.
Of course, I watched Austyn’s live streams, and they really helped me master this vape, which is beautifully designed.
No O-rings here, and that’s a big plus in my book.
Austyn has incredible talent, and I love the stem.
It’s perfectly balanced.
And this vape works optimally with my little Honest lighter or my Wand with the right setting, as Austyn pointed out.
For performance, I only have the Tornado as a point of comparison (and soon a Ceramo XL), and I have to say the Simrell holds its own against my Tornado in terms of vapor production and power!
The bowl capacity is smaller than the Nado’s, but the punch is almost on par.
And I haven’t had any thermal lockups to complain about, like you can sometimes get with the Tornado if you’re not careful.
The flavor is better, though the effects feel different to me.
The thermal insert is pretty interesting—it’s like the balls in the Tempest, but just a solid chunk of titanium.
For me, it’s a winner, and it’s already earned a spot in my rotation alongside the Tornado and the ZX.
I experimented with the Tornado using a TSWooden stem, and I wasn’t really convinced.
Way too much dense vapor that’s too hot for my taste.
The Nado shines through water with a WPA.
The Simrell, on the other hand, is perfect with its stock stem and super enjoyable.
I love hitting a bowl in one go every time, followed by a big, tasty cloud.

It’s really tough to match the hit of the Tornado, and yet my Simrell manages to do it, with better flavor to boot.
But it’s a one-hitter, unlike my Tornado, which delivers multiple very dense hits.

I just got mine but I did not find a manual with it. Is there anything with instructions on how to heat it in various induction heaters, or do we just need to figure that out as a community.

There is a user guide on the Simrell discord in #vaporizer-user-guide. He may have also sent it out via email to newsletter subscribers but I can't find one to link here. If you aren't on Discord send me a message and I can share it with you.

I ordered mine 🥳 This should take around 3 weeks to deliver. To all the happy owners: Is it really necessary to torch the device as slow as Austyn did? I’d love to use a bigger flame, bringing it closer to the oven and heat this thing up in 20-30 seconds. What flame sizes are you using? Does your inner flame touch the oven? What effects are you aiming for?

Got mine yesterday, so not much time with it yet.

Using IH with it. Forge and Wand so far so it's heating in the hybrid mode according to Quick Guide but seems to lean more conduction than convection to me. I'll have to play around with insert depth a bit. Hits are very dense like my Tornado. I'll be trying my Inductor later today and heat in the convection zone only.

Fit and finish is excellent. Living in the USA and finding something that is actually 100% sourced and manufactured here is a rarity and something I don't mind spending a little extra for.

sure looks like a lot of thread to screw the cap onto the bowl?
I need a tactile airport like the revolve so not a fan of the Simrell stems, very interest in the engine though, don't like cleaning or fiddling w/balls, for heating or cooling.

That would be one of my nit picks with it....and they're fine ones to boot. Another nit pick.....the Vortex to the Extraction Chamber has reverse threading that one has to remember about.

If you’re running it with a forge, I’d recommend trying 1600 joules & 90% power. Pull at the beep on the forge. - this is my favorite vapor profile of the IH options

When running a wand, I like to play in the 350-500 temp range ( timer ) and pull when the wand times out. Depending on what you set it at, the thermostat discs may not even engage, but the flavor is fantastic.

To truly experience the different heat zones, a single flame torch is going to be the best experience to precisely heat the zone you’re looking to use. With an IH, it’s kindve hard to really dial in that ingress and get that precision heat for each heat zone.

I highly recommend at least starting out with the smaller single flame and using the outer blue flame to heat. It will take about 40-50 seconds, but the vapor and device will reward you for your patience. It enables the entire system to come to thermal equilibrium, vs simply heating up the device quickly just to have the thermostat discs engage quicker. That will lead to less than optimal performance.

I have the wagon wheel fully extended up where the bottom of the screw is flush with the backside of the wagon wheel. Hopefully that makes sense 😅
I will have to give that a try as I had been inserting the "TEDrell" :) lower. I found your 1600J and 90% settings in Cascade mode at the lower insert position quite likable even with two reheats.

How do you like the forge? I've been on the fence about getting one. Have been using a small torch and wand very effectively with the vape.
