Simrell Vaporizer

If you’re playing with the wand, I’d highly recommend setting your Temperature ( really just a timer ) to 350F and allowing it to “Time out” on the screen, Ignore any clicks. This is what I call the “Golden Zone” the flavor is incredible and the vapor production at that low temperature is impressive in my opinion. That where I personally like to stay. I usually just do 1 heat cycle and then dump it, but you can get more out of it if you want. Also, try to do a light pack, give it a scoop and slight tamp. It’ll be about .05. Just for science.

Running the Forge, I’d recommend 1600 joules at 90% power and pull at the beep. Also a really great experience.

I personally prefer the vapor signature from the wand over the forge, but the forge heat up time is insane and really convenient for a quick rip in about 10 seconds or so.

Before the Simrell, I ran a torch 95% of the time on my analog devices. Now I’m

in not the biggest fan of the YLL when using the Simrell, I’m not sure what it is about it, but I haven’t been able to get really good results. I much prefer the Wand or the Forge.

Out of curiosity, what size torch are you using?

I've been using a RONXS on single-flame. I've gotten great results with the wand now, but prefer the torch. I've dialed in conduction now and stick to that or hybrid. Fantastic!

How would you compare the conduction to dv? I’ve found that I’m more of a convection “high” guy so been more interested in the hybrid/convection zones.
People on Reddit/FC have said that the convection zone seems to be similar/compatable to the tempest. But the hybrid zone seems to br pretty unique to simrell. But not much on the conduction zone.
Thanks!

I've never owned a Dynavap. Simrell, Tornado, Convector XL, and Ceramo XL are my only TEDs.

It hits harder than I would expect it to for it's bowl size.

The zones are for sure more noticeable and defined on the simrell than the tempest. You can get specifically target these zones to get different vapor signatures. I would recommend a smaller single torch. Pb207 would be good, or I use a cg-001 as I mostly carry this vape around. The cg-001 is a little hotter, but really enjoy it.

Makes way more sense as to why you lean on the conduction side of things then!

I have a tempest, tornado, anvil, Dani fusion and a variety of dvs from years ago that I no longer really use. Also just got my hands on a terpcicle… seems like this engine would still have a place

Appreciate all the responses! The engine is certainly going on my wish list.

I think I will likely get the engine itself but the thought of missing out on the full device preorder will continue to haunt me lol.

Im very interested in the hybrid and convection zones. I imagine the conduction zone will be similar to dynavap?
The Conduction Zone hits harder than a dynavap in my opinion. However, It is the most sensitive heat zone in regards to combustion potential as you must pull at the first click. This can be fine tuned by the angle of your torch to make it a lot easier and more repeatable.

Using a smaller single flame torch is the biggest tip I like to ensure to tell anyone interested. My favorite torches are the PB-207, PT-4000 & CG-001 from blazer. These torches are meant to stay on for the time duration of the heat up required. Distance from the flame is your best friend with the torch, using the outer blue flame to heat. This way your not flooding the engine with heat too quickly with a large flame just to get the thermostat discs to engage, we want to allow the necessary time for all components to come to thermal equilibrium for the best result. 45-55 seconds is the ideal heat up time with a torch.

I am working on a new thermostat disc for better low temp control in the conduction zone and make it way less likely to combust.

When releasing this device, I had to really dial in the best balance for all heat zones. We will be further refining the convection and conduction zones as time goes on. All parts and thermostat discs will be reverse compatible, keeping things modular and enabling you to build the device however you want.

TLDR: Conduction works great but is the most sensitive zone

Do you happen to have a smaller single flame to play with?

I have a few Eagles lying around.
Just for science, I’d recommend trying one of those eagle torches. Make sure the flame length is at least the length of the heat exchanger and your distance from the device is double the distance as the outer blue flame. Run that at hybrid and pull at the first click. I’d be curious as to what you think dialing that torch intensity down a little bit!

Love it. It's in my s tier vaoe list with tempest 1 (2 soon hopefully)and tornado. It's tasty, smacks hard. Can't wait for an xl or XXL version if you ever consider it (:
I’m happy to hear you enjoy it! This is just the beginning, I have a lot of ideas and plans for the ecosystem, a larger version of the Simrell is apart of the vision for sure. As our resources expand and our capacity increases, we will see a lot more things come to fruition! Gotta take it 1 step at a time tho. It’s some of the limiting factors of being a small family owned business and not only designing a product, but also doing the manufacturing all under 1 roof. It’s one of those double edge sword situations, but I truly enjoy the process.

Sign me up to ebay there along the way.
Love that your made in the USA.
Keep it up

The Engine itself is $175 USD. The complete Titanium Simrell is $300 USD.

We do have a threaded stem adapter that threads onto the new Titanium Vortex to allow compatibility with other devices, absolutely.
Does the complete titanium Simrell come with the stem adaptor or is that only for the engine itself?

Thanks again! I think I’m gonna pull the trigger sometime summer/when they come available again.

I just checked and I can get the RONXS flame smaller than the Eagle flame. What you're suggesting here is exactly how I've been heating, actually, thanks to catching a couple of your streams. 👍

The complete device does not come with the adapter, that’s sold separately. It does come with the engine however

Oh ok awesome! My RONX has a hard time staying lit at the lower flame, so maybe mine is slightly defective
