USPS isn't the best option if your in the EU, once it lands it's passed over to your local carrier and goes through regular customs. If you get any fees you will have to pay the handling fee too and because they use the regular customs office be prepared for delays.

Other couriers with a network in the destination country are better options as they often have their own dedicated customs office and you won't be hit for secondary handling.

Here is a short story of the purchase of OG Flowermate from Chinese seller..
Unit was declared at full price... and i had to go to the customs which was 10 km away from the city and there i had numerous troubles, i had to make some registration and come back when they process it... fuck yeah 50 km drives 4 times taxi ,only to learn that the seller forgot to include translations and had to pay some guy 10$ for translating 50 words with google translator but he held a certificate for translations so it did the trick..
After that i was asked about 10 times to explain what is an aromatherapy device exactly .. Finally after going at the place where you receive shit, the Auntie there asked if I AM STUPID ?
And told me if i am not a merchant that i should declare all my goods no matter under 14$ except if it is a very big order, above 5-10 kg... She said that stupid people like me are only causing them more workload.... LOL... Well this is my country... idk how it is in yours.. but you can hit on PM i can tell you how to get around it even if they investigate the case.

I ordered a vape from puffitup to the EU, and emailed them first. He told me that they shipped stuff to the EU very frequently and he'd never heard of any problems, so I ordered and it showed up quickly. I paid for shipping (not USPS) and no customs charges.

My VapCap order (to the Canary Islands) was held up by customs for 3 weeks. They then sent me a registered letter to say it was liable for customs duty, local tax and a handling fee - fair nuff (I s'pose) but then they told me that a package retained for inspection cannot be delivered by post (what????) and that I needed to contract a specialist company to "liberate" it. I phoned a few and their basic fee was 50€ although they weren't sure if "aromatherapy devices" need a special license. Long story short, my $125 order would have cost about the same amount again +hours of red tape bullshit so I refused the package :ugh: and hope it eventually finds its way back to Wisconsin.
To be clear, I have no problem paying legitimate import duties / taxes etc., but DynaVap paid an international mail carrier (USPS) who have agreements with other mail carriers (Correos de España) to deliver the f***ing goods. Anything else is protectionism and/or unfair trading practice. To be fair, I had a long exchange of correspondence with both Arielle and George who told me the package was labelled "modular tubular pieces" or words to that effect. I suspect Customs didn't know what they were dealing with. The presence of two half-filled butane lighters might also have given them cause for pause, I don't know:shrug:. Anyway, the good people at DynaVap always go the extra mile and suffice it to say that all's well that ends well :brow:

So there are no guarantees when it comes to customs.
Also varies by country.
The only sure way to avoid charges is buy in the EU.

That's true, but I'd say paying for a delivery option other than USPS is an important step. USPS hands off to local carriers and I've never had one of their sendings not get some kind of delay/fee/something else added on.

Never had a problem with them and delivery within a week. PUI send me a faulty item one time and resend USPS Express and i got it three days later.

There are stores in EU listed at the bottom of the page. Seems like, unless you're buying something that is not available, buying from one of them makes more sense.
