I considered using oil slicks but I'm much too cheap. I'd rather lose the ~.2 than spend $20 on a couple pieces of paper. Thanks for the tip though I know tons of people use those and love them.

Haha I know what you mean! That's how I was at first but you make quite a bit of oil so that .2 might add up quicker than you think

I also got lucky and got 2 rolls for $30 on an ebay auction so that's why I decided to try them.

And as long as you aren't crazy rough with the slick sheet paper, it won't tare. I've used the same piece the last 5 times I have blasted and it is still in good shape

Anyways, nice run man. Looks amazing for trim and popcorn.

In my experience, Timewreck yields are pretty good.... let us know your experience.?

From 3 tubes full of trim and popcorn nuggs (roughly 4.5 ozs) I yielded ~10 grams of high quality pull n snap. Could probably run the first two tubes again and get another gram or so but it would most likely be pretty low quality and not really worth it.

Just finishing up 39 grams of guerilla glue trim. I got 4.5 grams yeild from scraping before soaking the dish in alcohol.

Thanks @NickDlow for the 25 micron recommendation, thats what I used. Put two 400ml cans of whip it premium butane in the freezer with my Pyrex extraction tube for a couple of days.

Picked up this today. Atomic Blueberry live resin. Smells absolutely fantastic. Pine and Citrus. Tastes the same. This shit is gonna spoil everything else for me...too expensive. <end rant>

Just finished up a tube of incredibly frosty Pre-98 Bubba Kush trim. This trim is seriously frostier than most of the bud I see in dispensaries. Will be running some GSC in the next few days.

Slowly getting better at vacuum purging QWISO, here's some pics of my best slab from my most recent run of Jack Herer. Evap and purge temp was kept at or below 100F when possible, only went higher briefly when I was thin pressing them on the hot plate between an OilSlick Duo. I kept the washes separate, a couple buddered up more but even the worst looking one (not pictured) still tastes smooth.

Just finished up some Girl Scout Cookies trim. Off of ~28g I got 3.6g. Smells absolutely incredible and the taste matches it.

The reason some parts look lighter is because they aren't stuck to the parchment. Probably should've lifted the whole slab off and sat it back on before taking the picture but oh well.

This trim was free too so that was cool 96g in, 6g out. I'm happy. I love turning something that I wouldn't even vape into something I can dab

Some nice looking shatter there! No bubbles, looks solid!

Here's a picture of my latest QWISO/custom LWET Cluster Bomb live resin shards. No idea what went in, no idea what came out - except that it is delicious! Skunk, orange and a distinct freshly mowed lawn flavor (from all those near-live plant terps) which is amazing dance on the palate! Shards are hard as quartz, do not stick to even hot hands and are FUCKING IMPOSSIBLE to squash out flat due to being so rock hard!

Actually that leads me to a somewhat related question - can you guys in dispensary states get your material fresh frozen instead of cured?

I have a provider that does live resin...

Believe it or not, I've seen Rosin tech out there, too. Available in dispensaries. in WA.

Ohhh have you tried the live resin? It really is night and day between live resin and oils made from cured material isn't it!

I was more asking can you guys buy fresh frozen flowers to make your own oils though? I would imagine this would be something you'd probably have to ask a dispensary owner for specifically perhaps?

I am not surprised on the rosin actually (although I'd love to see a large slab of rosin close up - never seen that!), I think when dnail or whoever else does first bring out their new rosin press setups that can press real weight, that there will be a lot less hydrocarbon solvent based oils going around.

If I could rosin press significant weight, I would still use hydrocarbons to clean up the rosin to a sterilized absolute - still I think most people might abandon hydrocarbon solvents for this kind of rosin setup since they will reliably get better results and remove a number of potentially confounding variables - to use scientific language.

Now that I think of it, I'd probably use hydrocarbon solvents to get the last good stuff out of the pressed nugs too. I don't use buds generally (perhaps once a week or something), I find myself not wanting to apply heat to and inhale anything containing more inactives than actives (like flowers) these days My throat has thanked me!

Yes, the terpenes are a bit more pronounced. I'm not all that willing to pay more for it, as I am not sensitive enough to derive sufficient benefit from the [minor] difference I detect.

However, as my provider is LOVING using the fresh/frozen buds, I'm getting it more available all the time... right now, it's running $50 gram where I get it. I usually get the trim run stuff, which is half the price.

@Enchantre G-ma Dabs! I was just in WA (Spokane) visiting my family and I got to stop by one of the rec stores and picked up a 1/2g of King Louis XIII live resin. It was incredible! Super tasty. I couldnt believe it.

I am trying to get my hands on some fresh frozen Cherry Kush to blast!
