Part of the 60% return I got from a QWISO run of some great THC bomb 3/4 melt bubble hash. Seriously as hard and strong as glass, the densest shatter I've ever handled. The same lemon taste as with THC bomb nugs, but much stronger, richer taste. Also the greatest high I've ever had! :D

so you did an qwiso run on bubble hash?

Yes, and yes :D it is a mid amber when in a large piece, but when it is held up to the light in a 4mm thick piece, it looks almost utterly clear :)

I have pretty much perfected QWISO over the last 3 months. I really am toying with figuring out how to come stateside and become an extract artist (only if this can be done fully legally, including both the extraction, the selling of extracts and also in accordance with immigration laws)...

You would find yourself most welcome if you ever find yourself in my neck of the woods, my friend! ;)

I have gotten very close to that clarity before in other extractions with the same strain presumably from the same source, but never quite that clear. IME, THC Bomb when well grown can produce almost crystal clear shatter, so long as you do not pull out the plant stuff and are militant with your short washes. With high quality bubble though, you can wash all day lol. I daresay the clarity is related to the terp content of the starting material when it comes to extracts. I have definitely used other strains (Mango Dream) which absolutely cannot get that clear.

I am considering trying to winterize that bubble extraction to clean it up even more. Winterizing is a godsend! I have been doing this with ethanol all the time lately, really can make a great concentrate better, or a bad one good/great :D

may i ask how long you did wash for? i am going to be attempting a CO2 dry sift and QWET that return. i would imagine the wash time can increase greatly after an initial extraction. but yeah how long did you wash the bubble?

Looks like fucking scotch tape! Never been a big fan of qwiso but if @Caligula believes in it I'm down. Have to be honest though, last time I saw something that was totally clear like was stripped of everything including the good stuff.

This stuff tastes rich, it really has a fuller taste than the same strain of buds. It is delicious, the finest extract I've ever made, and you guys are familiar with my work ;) Has an epic kick to it as well!

The piece indeed is my custom Ryan Wilson worked oil rig, which I have enjoyed said shatter with! :D

The flowers that the bubble was made from has pretty light keif.
Between that, the bubble not having much plant matter in it, and @herbivore21 being a wizard, you end up with that awesome looking QWISO shatter.

extracted a couple weeks after harvest? typically to get that fresh color it needs to be pretty fresh product. perhaps fresh frozen material?

the deepening of the resin color is due to oxidation and conversion of acids into actives.

probaby alot of thca and terpenes right there.

nice job! are you using 91 or 99%?

It's so different comparatively to BHO. In BHO mass reduction of color would (or could) be the result of an over purge with no increase of temperature. The practice or art of making BHO isn't so much about getting the bad shit out as it is keeping the good shit in, hence the term "trappin terps" . The trickiest part of the thing that separates the boys from the men are two things.

1. Patience - don't touch that dial! It ain't easy to just wait. We all want to speed shit up lol.

2. Being able to decipher what's air vs what's tane. Most of the butane is actually withdrawn in the first 30 minutes when going under vac. It's that small trace left that really blends into your oil.

I do not have much experience with ISO runs and I would love to try some of your dank looking shatter. It's just so different when your used to other methods. I also wish I learned BHO as quickly as you've mastered ISO.

Have you tried Digestible alcohol? Grain or Moonshine?

I exclusively use 100% iso. For some reason, it seems you guys stateside can't get 100% iso. 99% would do in that case.

I am unaware of how close to harvest it was. I don't actually know the grower/bubble maker personally lol

ahhhhhhhh I c. allllllllllllllllllll I needed to know brother. extract on sir!

anhydrous isopropyl seems difficult to aquire stateside btw. easier to find pure ethanol here but no shock since corns such a huge industry here.
