I'm guessing that a lot of folks don't know that the Senior Economist for CNBC, Steve Liesman, has played in the Stella Blues Band for many years now.

That fact may never fully compute in my small brain.

I once attended one of their shows (they do okay) and found myself in the men's room with him. As we washed our hands, I asked some financial advice!

This may be my first non-dead post over here on Shakedown Street. I didn't want to start a new thread just about this.

I've been really amazed by this guy, Jesse Welles, lately. Specifically his stuff from this past year or so. He's been extremely prolific, with new songs posting on IG or Youtube. Performed on Kimmel last week. Very talented and thoughtful songwriter (and guitar player).
Makes me think of Woody Guthrie, Bob Dylan, John Prine.
This one is just a few days old...

I seem to remember him playing with Phil at some point but I can't find it now.
