Sounds great @GetLeft. I checked out both the EC and HBH strains, they look excellent (and rare). I see they are estimated to be in the 70/30 sativa/indica ratio range. There are a number of excellent strains in that ratio too; have you tried and can you compare EC & HBH to Ghost Train Haze, TWD/Candyland, Moby Dick, Grapefruit, Lemon Stomper? I'd like to know if so.
A close cannabis friend of mine tends to love 70/30 S/I strains... I myself current keep a 70/30 strain around but prefer both more sativa leaning strains (60/40 S/I), as well as stronger sativas in the 80/20 estimated S/I cannabis range. Plus ones with standout euphoric and strong, even bracing effects.
It's all about the quality of the batch too. Unfortunately, my best batches haven't been in the 70/30 S/I strain range. How did your EC & HBH compare to the Strawberry Cough @GetLeft? I love SC and it's a top favorite . It helps I found a consistent seller of great batches from the same source/grower. Here's the last Strawberry Cough batch I picked up and snapped a picture of . How's it compare? This strain and quality+ I highly recommended!
More good sativa news on the home front with me, I picked up another 2 batches/strains ; it came from splitting a large order of two more sativa strains with a friend, and was an excellent recent opportunity to get some quality sativas . Had to do it, carpe diem . Otherwise those products can be later absent for extended periods of time (in my experience).
There was an excellent selection of multiple sativas for purchase, which has been rare here in Canada as the market is still in the early stages of development after becoming legal ~2 years ago. Ended up going with Blue Dream and Strawberry Cough . Both are reload strains for me, and top favorite sativas ; they're also both from the same seller (consistent first hand excellent sources/growers). I've had multiple batches now from each, and they've been consistently excellent in grow, quality, potency and cure imo. Definitely quality batches matter as much as strain selection in my experience. Getting new Blue Dream was a priority for me, I even mentioned that some weeks back now here. My old batch was old... I definitely should have picked up some earlier .
I already picked up the new batches of Blue Dream and Strawberry Cough and tried them and the choice was totally vindicated; wow good stuff . Both batches are quite frosty, look the same as the old batches, smell correct, terpy, fresh, etc. Added score huge nugs too . Both strain batches are very terpy and potent... blowing excellent vapor and more clouds than you expect. And both can be overwhelming in vapor density when vaping, as my smoker friend demonstrated to me in real time .
I'd forgotten how potent and sativa stimulating Blue Dream is, punching well above its sativa leaning weight . I know there are Blue Dream fans here ... it's a great strain with a top notch reputation (often labelled the most popular strain in the US, even world). These batches of Blue Dream have been much of the reason I haven't found 70/30 sativa/indica strains as good .
Strawberry Cough is pretty well known too; when the new SC batch came in, I vaped it while again watching Michael Cain smoke/discuss Strawberry Cough cannabis in a scene in Children of Men with Clive Owen .
I can't recommend either of these strains enough for anyone hunting sativas; I could justify Strawberry Cough and Blue Dream as my two favorite cannabis strains. In low temp vaping, the blueberry/strawberry flavors are very appealing and enjoyable. When combined with a great batch/grow, both strains are also top notch impressive effects-wise and sativa-wise. Part of the reason I've been playing recently with the M4/3 interchangeable lens digital camera again, has been in anticipation of getting some pictures up of these new Blue Dream and Strawberry Cough batches. They look excellent, frosty and should be pic-friendly . I picked up some new Boveda moisture packs as well to keep these new batches (and my best cannabis) fresh and in top shape. I'll try to get some pictures up before too long.
Sorry for any grammar/spelling issues. Some of that Blue Dream is hitting me now ...
May you all find great batches of your favorite sativas. What a difference it makes .
Cheers and have a great Sunday evening.
