Wish we could marry the Triton bucket heater with the SAI top air flow - could have been the holy grail of pocketable/portable concentrate vapes.

I have a Pico 75 and 85, I have just ordered this for longer run times,
https://www.fasttech.com/product/7825804

Should be similar to operate being another Eleaf product?
Oh nice. I will grab one of these too.
I just cleaned my top airflow and realized it had been clogged for months. Still hit some so I did not realize. I actually wasnt aware of the air channels and never thought about where the air vents entered. Everyone be aware lol
It hits like a real beast now and I am glad I was running bargain live resin in that time. Some was def cooking before being inhaled. Using it next to distillate carts they started to.feel the same. Not anymore
And I like the Witz Wrapper case for the Sai with pico 75. Fits flat enough and has a base to stand up on its own

Hi guys, I’ve been using the Sai TAF with titanium bucket paired with an evic vtwo mini for the last few months in wattage mode and I’m getting some decent results. I finally decided to set up TC mode today but I’m running into a few problems. So I’ve put the box mod in Ni mode but I can’t set the resistance to the recommended .7-.8 ohms. Anyone know how to lock/unlock the resistance?

The only things I’ve done is:
-set it to Ni mode
-set temp to 350
-set wattage to 25

Other than figuring out how to set the resistance, is there anything else I’ve missed?

Any help is appreciated!

My Pico you press and hold the +and fire button together to lock/unlock resistance, don't know if that helps.

I have the bucket one installed currently and the bucket got pulled out but not the actual part to it.

Look at the photos in the below link.

How do i remove the bottom part of the bucket coil?

otherwise, i am unable to switch the bucket coil with something else.

I am using tools and what not to turn it clockwise or counter clockwise.

The part in the picture does not come apart, it is a different setup than quartz buckets.
Clean it more often and don't load as much and it will be easier to maintain in the long run.

Counter clockwise
I use a straight edge Nail file on nail clippers
HVT said to use a coin Right in the two notches
You have the “heater” part stuck.

I have finally removed the heater!
I had to use the coin trick.
This is a huge relief! i finally am able to change the coil now once again.
ps: the ti bucket is awesome . i am not going to lie.

the sai taf is not that bad of a device.
the only cons i see are that bowl may get too hot and putting the cap on and off could be clean if maintenance is done.

edit: I forgot how awesome this device is once you have a proper mod.

I upgraded my device for more battery power and using the latest tech.

Ok, put it on nickle(Ni) mode, set your wattage to 32, temp to 420. With the quartz bucket you want to use small amounts of concentrate, load that to your cold quartz bucket. Heat it up at about 8 sec. Do anither 3-5 sec, than imnediately take your dab ripp(make sure its in 1 rip only!!!!(just like a regular dab ripp). Now Enjoy!!! [FYI] With the quartz bucket, unlike the titanium bucket, u can only use small amounts of concentrate per use, if u put too much, the concentrate intend to overflow and the concentrate moves towards the top of the quartz bucket than goes towards the otherside if the quartz bucket. Trust me!!! I went through this with the tech who help me get my sai atomizer to work. Now if your trying to get fucked up and dont care too much about the taste ehat the ti and quartz bucket gives, go for the triple titanium coils!!!(quartz triple to be exact) that will give you clouds, that will ripp you, just like a regular dab(IMO it taste like shit, but man, it ripps harder than my quartz banger[effect wise]

- am drunk when i replied to this, so excuse me if i misoelled or w/e ;) enjoy!!!!

I have the Sai Hydrotube...
Works alright...
Wish I'd gone for the Poseidon for the curved mouthpiece...
I seem to dribble down straight tubes...
...
just got my hydrotube and like it more than I thought I would
no dribbble yet

It only happens if I keep the hydrotube completely vertical, but if I tilt it then the titanium bucket doesn't heat up concentrates as effectively. Maybe I just have bad technique but I know I'm not the only one haha.

Who here knows of a true competitor to Dicodes Dani, for a stainless stick mod which would work with accurate temp control on a top airflow Sai ? To make a nice seamless all stainless low temp workhorse ?

If you're wanting accurate tc with the buckets, no mod will give you that. Real, accurate tc isn't actually possible with remotely heated buckets. This can be verified with a thermocouple. So, any stick mod with tcr setting ability should work about as well as any other.

This is my first post. First mod. First electronic device for resin beyond a pre-filled cartridge and a pen. I’m a simpleton because #1 I’ve never vaped, dabbed, or anything of the sort really. So take it easy. Hold my hand.

Can someone please help clear up a few things for me?

I got my the following setup 2 days ago:
-Wismec Reuleaux RX gen3
-Sai TAF with the glass mouthpiece
-Ti skillet with the ceramic donut heater
-SS/ceramic 2mm coil
-Titanium/quartz x2 coil
-Kanthal/ceramic 4mm coil

I followed the coil setup table on the Planet of the Vapes Sai guide. It worked right away but then I had some issues. I’m using NI temperature control for the titanium skillet. Usually about 32w and about 400-420F. After a while the mod would “slip” out of temperature controlled mode and go into power mode. Then, I’d have to remove the atomizer, reset the mode on the mod, screw the atomizer back in, and it might work again for a bit. Usually though this behavior would continue...but it’s usable. I contacted Planet of the Vapes and they’re telling me the Ti skillet ceramic donut heater is probably defective so it’s being replaced.

Here’s what I need help on though...

Kinda bummed because I thought all these coils would be awesome...
As far as I can tell the exposed coil type heaters are terrible. Terrible. I’ve tried the 2mm stainless/black_ceramic and the 2x titanium/quartz and I can’t see why they’re a thing at all. Look, they work, they hit well, but there’s no way to clean it without soaking it in ISO...it instantly turns dark orange/brown and a LOT of resin just clings to the sides and bottom the coil itself just dries up first. The only choice is just load more and more never getting a fresh hit or soaking it and losing nearly half your dab to the sides of the bucket every time you use it. Maybe I use tiny dabs....but it’s totally inefficient in my view. What am I missing?

Also can someone please explain preheat? My wismec has a time and power setting. What exactly does this do? Always hold the heater at a certain temp? Do I need to use it? What should my settings be? When does preheat engage? Anytime it’s on?

One more thing. The vents. I see there are four holes in the bottom of the Sai that are for bottom airflow? They don’t seem to do much regardless of which coil I use. Should this be totally closed when I use the Ti skillet? What about the top one? Should it be closed when I use the other coils besides the skillet?

Maybe I should install this Arctic Fox business but it seems even more confusing. I barely know what I’m doing now. Thankfully I didn’t screw up and blast 300w thru these coils when I pulled it out of the box.

The top air vents are just for buckets, so when you use buckets keep the bottom holes closed and vice versa when using anything but buckets.

I don't have your mod or know anything about it. On mine I can lock in settings so they don't jump around.

I suggest you go back in this thread and read to find help while you wait on wismec specific advice. Sorry I couldn't help you more.

I am still on my first ti bucket heater and nothing has fried out. But it seems like its taking longer to vaporize.
Could my coil be ending its life or will that show up.on the mod? It still reads as reaching temp but I am taking 14 second hits where I used to be in the 6 sec range?
Could it be time for a switch?
Edit: new atomizer and it is a new beast. Had oil run down around outside of atomizer too but no damage inside. Surprised it showed temp though
