RezBlock /Cranberry Extract

Assuming its safe, would you vape through anything other than water if it offered some benefit?

Depends on what kind of repeated usage we're talking about. I tend to medicate all day and it usually lasts me a day. That's using a drop per oz. of water. You'll know when it's time to change the water. It loses it's color and gets sort of gross.

I generally use a freshly cleaned tube for about a day and a half. (vape all day too) I noticed though that sometimes there are some "cookies" floating in there when it's time to clean. I was thinking that someone should try to find a way to process the used distilled water (including cookies) and make some kind of new THC soft drink I'd call mine "couch juice" :) Make it a berry flavor add anti-oxidants and watch the dead presidents start rolling in!

I directly mix some cranberry extract powder with distilled water, I put just enough for one day.

Its diluted enough for a really easy mix when I fill my pieces. I change water between each bowl, I really have to be in a want to medicate right now state to keep on hitting the same water twice.

It costs me the equivalent of $5 for 30g of powder, lasts me approximately one month with
~6 times water change per day.

Wow six times a day... Still, I guess at $5 for the month, who cares?

I'd be interested in a way to still use reclaim with Rezblock too.

Great Scott!
Welcome darkrom! I look forward to your thoughts :)

I'm actually pretty terrible about changing my water. Like once a week terrible. I don't ever see anything gross in there besides what looks like mineral deposits. I'm hoping this helps keep them away a bit. I know I need to change my water more anyway.

They shipped mine today!!! :-) I can't wait. I ordered two bottles. I figured why not (somewhat like a buy one get one free :-)).

I can't wait to try it.

I have been using RezBlock for a while now with great success. I spend much less time cleaning glass.
Most of the use was is my DG mini but I recently tried some in my 9mm MIO beaker and have observed some interesting phenomenon. After one day of use, these little free floating pink balls started forming. It does not appear to be mold since it could not form that quickly. The little balls seem to be resin that is just attaching to itself since the glass is too slippery. They almost act like Marimo since they continue to grow in size. Maybe they are "Vaporimo".

Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon?

Its resin that has been partially emulsified on the outside, turning it whitish in color. If you take out one of those "chunks" and halve it, you will see a bit of reclaim inside . . .

Yeah, it's resin that can't stick to the glass because of the antibioadhesion properties of RB. Pull them out and let them dry for a little bit and you'll see that the floaties are actually quite sticky.

Ok here is my review of RezBlock Concentrate.

First, I want to preface by saying that I have always used water, and if I was combusting still, I think RezBlock would be amazing.

Ok I have an Evolver HydraTree with the Cloud. I've been using Zerowater from my fridge and it's been good. I usually change the water every session. I like that nice clean taste, and cold water. Fast forward to the $12 dollar sale, I bought two bottles.

First, I'm not quite sure what I expected. Honestly, I expected magic, and that's just not fair for the company. Anyhow, I bought some distilled water from CVS and started out with salt + ISO and cleaned the HydraTube. Then I used the distilled water and made a big cup of RezBlock. That was mistake one. I didn't like the room temperatureness of the distilled water.

It affected the taste for me. First, the tube tasted slippery now, and pulling had a weird taste just straight up. So I've switched to using the cold ZeroWater to make the RezBlock . However, this still tastes funny to me.

Also, like I mentioned, I like to change my water every session and now i feel like I can't cause I'm wasting money.

However, that being said, my tube is quite clean, and no vapor residue chunks are sticking to the glass where the water hit. So it does work as advertised.

I just think it's not for me. Enjoy everyone :-)

Distilled waters are very sensitive, they catch smells because of their absence of saturation

Fresh water FTW ;) If you want to keep it cheap, you can use cranberry extract powder

Can you not refrigerate the distilled water?

However, this still tastes funny to me.

How many drops are you adding to your water? I'm down to just one drop per fluid ounce, works just enough for one or two sessions.

Do you have a link where I could find the proper cranberry powder? I was afraid that not all extracts are created equal.

I could, but my fridge is tight for space, and I have the Zerowater anyway. I think that's the best solution.

I'm adding about 3 drops for about 3 ounces.

I would be interested in this as well.

No vapor residue is all it's really supposed to do so it sounds like it did work :ninja:

My experience with rezblock was I went from changing water almost every session (multiple times a day) to once every 2-3 days, followed by a hot water rinse. Though I haven't been vaping very expensive high-flavor strains.

I also tend to under-drop. I'll put 1-2 drops for 3oz.

Yes, I completely agree, hence why I stated that I expected magic, and that wasn't fair to them.

But numerous reasons prevent me from changing as infrequently as you do. I just think it gets harsher the longer I let that water sit in there. When I do a fresh change, it results in a far better experience for me.

I have two bottles, so I'm going to keep going with it for now.

Well lucky for you, 420 science has this nifty guarantee posted on their website

"RezBlock - Prevent resin from forming inside your water pipe. If you don't notice a DRASTIC difference when using RezBlock, you're doing it wrong. Seriously. Use the entire bottle and if you don't LOVE it, tell us so we can refund you. That's it, nothing for you to return."

I might agree the "drastic difference or you're doing it wrong" part surely applies more to smoking :p

That's cool actually. But you know, I waited for a sale and knew what I was getting into. I won't ask for a refund. But I probably won't buy it anymore. But that is really cool to know :-).

Edit: I'm not sure. I'm gonna change the water like I like to, and see how long this lasts.

Well I'm happy to report my enjoyment level has went up tremendously on using the clean water, and the cold zerowater. Let's see how long the bottle lasts at this pace before I make any more decisions. But so far it's working way better with the cold clean water for me.

Glad to hear.

I recently placed an order for two bottles of RezBlock (11.95 sale) and only received one. So I shot of an email, 1.5 hours later they replied and sent me out a bottle the very next day. Great customer service.

I think I have found the best process for me after over a month of experimenting and it does not involve RezBlock. With my Mobius I would use 7 drops a day and that was just adding up too quick. Also, every once in awhile the emulsified buildup would get trapped under a matrix perc and would cause me quite a bit of shaking to dislodge it. Between Rezblock, PBW, and Simply Green I have found that SG with PBW every once in awhile is the best trade off for me both for convenience and economics.

With my cloud I tend to average 4 ELBs a night and if friends come over that could be as high as 8. For me it is best to use my Mobius piece with just water for the night and at the end dump the water and let it soak in a bucket of Simply Green over night. The next morning I pull it out, rinse it off, and it is extremely clean. After about 4 weeks of doing this there was an slightly less slippery area of the glass on the inner tube that was easily fixed with a few hours of soaking in PBW. I changed my SG solution once every 2 weeks. If I could fully submerge my Mobius piece then I don't think I would need to do a PBW soak but maybe once a month. I get air bubbles trapped when laying my Mobius on the side and that is where the slightly less clean part of the glass is.

I had considered making my own Rezblock but I don't want to be mixing powder every time I put water in my tube because that extra minute annoys me and combine that with the fact that I probably already have wet hands from dumping/rinsing my tube you have to add in that extra step to dry your hands. I tried going a few days but then too many floaties get up top and it looks disgusting until I dump it. Those floaties lots of times get stuck in the matrix perc. This does not happen when using just water as long as I am only using it for a night and dump at the end.

If I had a different piece with a smaller volume and no little corners or small holes for the floaties to get stuck under then I think I might prefer Rezblock. It would also have to be a piece that had the RezBlock come right up to the intake of the glass limiting how much vapor touched glass before the RezBlock because if you have something with complicated 180 degree turns before it hits your water/RezBlock then the RezBlock does nothing to keep that part of the glass clean. This is a real issue with my Hydracirc because the vapor flows up, then down, then out the slits into the RezBlock, then up the tube. The first part always gets a honey buildup because there is no RezBlock to keep it clean so I end up having to soak the tube anyways.

I tried to use RezBlock but right now half a bottle sits in my drawer. I will probably use up slowly just for those all day sessions or night sessions with friends but really for me and my process I just don't see the need.

Hey all! I just wanted to add my experience with the marvelous cranberries! I have been following this thread since day one and I finally decided to make my own experiment three days ago. Couldn't order the RB and I had read in here that juice should be avoided due to sugar content and possible moldy scenarios... After seeing that pic though (can't recall the poster now) with the moldy RB glass pieces after a week of absence if I remember well I decided to just go with the juice and change it every three days maximum for piece of mind... So, I just filled my 250 ehle with the juice, tap water (50/50?), a lemon's juice and a pinch of salt and went for it... :science: After three days in there the glass is still perfectly clean, it still smells like cranberry to me and it doesn't seem to affect aromas. Maybe a little, but it's a subtle fruity thing so it's a welcome addition to any strain IMHO...
Couldn't be happier and I don't even care if the juice is past it's expiration date. Won't drink it and if it stays in the fridge I believe it will keep it's non stick properties for more than a month. Pretty cheap too...
