My apologies. He said all preorders 'scheduled to ship' which could mean one. I'll stay silent. 06/12 btw. I almost regret reading any of his posts because he does come off as very smug. I guess it's hard not to when you constantly get your ego stroked. Although, other manufacturers are not that way. :peace::2c:

Ah well if you ordered 6/12 I'd say it's safe to expect tracking this week (or very soon) dude. Will be curious to hear your thoughts...

I hate that I'm posting in this thread, but all other efforts at communication have failed.

I'm an august preorder, ordered back when there was a tentative shipping date of october. (I have no interest in discussing the semantics of "tentative shipping date").

I'm spending three months in a non-medical state beginning in mid-March and don't especially want to have my fancy new vaporizer shipped there. I'm wondering if
a) this thing will somehow miraculously get shipped out before mid-March
or
b) what happens if it doesn't. are there hold options?

I've tried email and contact forms and they just go to a black hole, so hopefully this makes it through.

Since this (and other vapes) can be used with lots of legal aromatherapy type herbs/flowers wouldn't it be fine?

Must confess that I don't know the U.S. law regarding this, and I assume state to state differs too?

Twenty-four more units will be shipping by 2/8. This leaves about 20 units from the initial CNC run of wood bodies to go before we start into the build of 200. These units should feed current demand as only 50 of the 200 have been sold so far.

We will be contacting all Lifetime customers prior to shipment to ensure that we have the proper ship to name and address to ensure it doesn’t get lost in the mail.

In other words, your issues will be sorted out when your name comes up, so don't expect to hear anything until then.

It's absolutely fine, he just doesn't seem comfortable with it. Tricky question, but I'm sure it can be held if necessary @jim-bob

See, there's a weird disconnect here. If I try to contact a dude in December, why would I expect his response to be in an update to his faq page over a month later? Seems like it wouldn't be that hard to send out a form letter to everyone on the list.

This CS thing honestly has me worried - if keeping his ~50 customers up to date is Way Too Much Effort, what am I supposed to surmise about warranty issues if I ever actually get my hands on this device? Is it going to be the same rigamarole?

Honestly I feel like this constant effort to shield RBT from criticism is only going to hurt him in the long run. If we keep allowing him to believe that "all these customers are getting in the way of my work" he's only going to get more sour and drive more people away. If that's what he's going for, that's cool, but it seems shortsighted to me.

I'm sorry he overpromised and underdelivered, but that really isn't the fault of the customer in any way that I can see.

That answer is simply no, bc that will all be set up before it can become an issue, nothings falling through the cracks. Dealing with 50 customers who don't have the units while you're trying to build them and more is understandably not priority when they've been informed of delays. Get em done then handle issues, but so far everyone whose gotten one hasn't had any to speak of, only satisfaction...

It was stated specifically on the site that a question already answered in the FAQ will not get a response. For him now it is that hard to write any additional forms or letters bc there are more important things that need to get written, not to mention things that need to get physically built, to ensure this all can become the company we all want it to be. It simply is just nowhere near that stage right now (though it is well on track, as long as there are funds, with things being set up for mass production). As such any expectations otherwise are really kind of misplaced in my mind

You are ofcourse free to criticize all you like, just as I am free to defend. No one is shielding anything clearly, I do not think he overpromised judging by the entirety of the thread, and I think he actually totally overdelivered on the final product personally...:2c::peace:

I wonder if it's true that nothing will fall between the cracks. I am trying to be patient and not harrass RBT. But another member and I got our letters the same day and both responded that day. I ordered towards the beginning of June. The other member ordered accessories the next day and received his a week later. I have not received any option to order accessories- although at this point I don't need any- and no sign of the Zion. So I wonder if mine has fallen through the cracks or whether he is too busy to send mine. I don't know if anyone else who received letters the week of January 18 has gotten theirs but if they have then I think mine is lost somewhere. I'm going to check in with him but want to wait one more day just in case it comes.

Disagree Mag, but I think you're all good. I believe he is literally trying to get your unit (and quite a few others) finished up this weekend to ship out this week. I am certain you will receive an email with tracking when it is sent (don't know about the accessories thing, if you say you weren't given a chance when you confirmed address, but you say you don't need em so I wouldn't worry). I know the unknown waiting is tough, but trust me I think you are extremely close to forgetting all about it!

That's just setting up a retailer for future sales to Canada. Shouldnt affect anything else, warranties still handled in the US regardless

Okay I thought I read about manufacturing starting in canada after the initial 200.
But I'm ~100 posts behind in the main thread so maybe that has changed?

so how long is the wait if I order a zion right now? its the first vape ive seen that truly fits all of my requirements. id love to buy in... but im not good with waiting after paying. maybe I will just keep waiting...

Now I have this and the Grasshopper on preorder.... it's the tortoise vs the hare in the race to my loving arms.

But who will win?

I don't think that can be answered. There was a problem with the current ones that needed to be sent off to be fixed so I'm about 3 weeks after the letter still waiting for shipping info. Once the Zions are no longer being made by one person, shipping after the confirmation email may be very quick.

I received my letter that day, ordered nothing extra and haven't received my Zion either. Placed my preorder in early June. Whatever that's worth. Any day now, I imagine.

Yeah looks like he's close to getting some out very soon per the last update. Any extra time should mean a more polished unit imo, each one must be properly QCed, as they are

So then are these units which are supposed to ship out Monday going to complete the May and June preorders? Just asking because one of RBT's posts about a week ago said that May/June should ship that (last) weekend, and I don't recall hearing if that happened or not. Hoping for July units to start moving out the door soon.
