Nice! I've wanting something like this from the get go, wanted for my logs too beforehand since first Solo spoiled me, all glass one piece simple cleaning great taste... sign me up man whenever you are ready to send some out let me know please!
@DieHard should be here for long weekend so some good side by side testing plus zion will be in the house just to name a few.
Thanks RBT it was a nice surprise for the fourth.
Edit I applied bee's wax for photo's
@utekai I'm just curious as to where you are seeing all of the Grasshopper marketing efforts?
I have some news on the stems I showed previously a page or two back with glass screens. For the joints, we'll be using Schott for the supplier and there should be no wobbling issues. Length 68-70mm (same as current short stem) and 97mm for a medium, I don't think I'll pursue the long length.
Would love to hear what interested parties think about these possibilities. Also, any interest in making some of these Schott jointed stems without the glass screens? Thanks for any and all feedback in advance.

I'm
In
Schott is German. 22mm joints are available from them. The screen is further back. I have also stuck with stock position myself on a short stem and stainless steel screen from RBT.Cooooool
I would personally go for 2 mediums.
One with screen, one without.
And one short with screen.
Beware the length of the joint itself though, as even my stock long stem doesn't fit in my Milaana due to the joint being too long!
Shott are German right?
Hopefully they don't just do ISO joints.
I do note that the glass screen looks quite a bit further from the heater than stock screen distance (I've stuck with stock position and orientation myself).
I assume that placing the screen within the joint would be impossible?
Your stem looks like a great idea, and I also like the idea of a medium stem. I'd be in for at least a medium one, if not short also. Sometimes I am looking for something that is in between the current stem lengths.Great. Thanks for your continued support!

Placing the screen within the joint is impossible. It would compromise the integrity of the glass on glass seal as well, and if more convex than concave, could create issues with the female (stuck/crack).
1st off is that I'm a flavor chaser, looking at my AVB in a scope, after using the prototype, the heads are gone and just the stalks remain. In vaping, I never try to brown and cook everything I can off of my meds. I threw the spent ABV into the stock setup to see if it would be something that tasted better after breaking up the prototype stem budlets to inspect via scope.
I never really need to stir with the Milaana, I'm always turning the stem between hits or even while taking hits. Round 2 in the stock short stem didn't taste very good to me. I do have a workaround in mind for the screen distance issue. I'll share it if it works.
Definitely in.@utekai I'm just curious as to where you are seeing all of the Grasshopper marketing efforts?

Have you been putting in full buds or breaking it into smaller pieces?
Can't put the screen in the male. See my previous post on that. I do have a work around for this but haven't been able to test the theory/concept yet. Stay tuned.Definitely in.
I'm a small load kind of guy, would you consider a screen halfway through the Male for closer to the tip hits? My screen is never that deep.
Right on man I hope your idea works. I mean the only thing I can think of is to move the screen up a little. Maybe just have an option, small size/large size load on the stems? Like you could just make half and half some with the screen down far and some with the screen a little further up and people could choose? I have no idea how logistics of this would work as I have never dealt with any of this kinda stuff but that may be a simple solution. thanks for the explanation of the screens, I understand you and the lingo with basket/bucket can get annoying haha. I wish you the best of luck and count me in for a stem no matter where the screen is set. A short one like that would be nice for on the go ease.^ @Oogendoogan Thank you for the support!
I have a solution for microdosing in mind. I don't think the stainless steel RBT screen would be a great idea along with the glass screen, as it could be pretty hard to remove depending on whether it is basket/bucket. There's only one way out, and maybe I'm missing something and I guess basket would be easier to pull out with forceps but bucket could get ugly (I hope I have that setup correct, still learning my baskets and buckets). Might be able to test the micro-dosing solution next week. If it works, I'll post pics, if it fails, then its back to the drawing board.
Nice yeah so a deep screen not ideal, but apparently with a hot Mi it could actually be better for a more even vape without hot spots, seems like it would be great for whole nugs too actually... yeah glass is the seller, don't need no screen versions but maybe others would like he option... I was also going to say if they can do it, a longer curved stem would be pretty awesome

Thanks for the support. We won't have 14mm initially.I'll take a couple in 14mm and 18mm please
OK, sounds good.In on at least 2 short
I'd take a couple of shorts with screens. But I'm very interested in microdosing and would prefer that. Also would love a medium or short gong if you end up making a gong. I just got some beautiful long vongs but I'd like short as well.
