Vestratto has apparently begun the process of issuing RMA's to Forge owners for replacement units. I reached out since I was a 2024 420 purchaser and hadn't heard anything yet and was informed my unit will be part of the next batch they will request for exchange. Finally!

Mine was one of the ones that died and they still haven't told me I can send it in since the postal strike ended. I guess I'll contact them, maybe they forgot about me.

Seems like they are going purely by order number now and not helping the people with broken Forges first, at least not me. Also sounds like they are doing a full swap for everyone, so likely not offering the free gifts they talked about months ago. This is definitely turning into a negative customer service experience from Vestratto for me.

My forge bricked in September. I might’ve been the third person they heard from. Vestratto responded quickly with what was going on and how to return it. I shipped it off and btw the forge sat in the Canadian post office for OVER A MONTH. More like six weeks. John wasn’t kidding when he said their postal services suck! I tracked it every couple weeks and it just didn’t move.

After they solved the issues and did weeks/months of testing I got an email last week informing me my new and improved forge will be shipped this week. I think it’s just one of those things, we’re early adopters and u know, shit happens.

It’s just a lot of variables, how would they know I’d be running the forge at 3000 joules more than five times a day and I have a high tolerance. I was switching from my Dynavaps to my Anvil, to the Tempest and ran the hell out of that. Then the Tornado came in. I had different profile settings for each and played around within each profile (for fun 😎) The forge shelved the wand and everyone agrees the wand is dope.

I give the company a little grace in situations like this. It’s a really small company. It’s like John, two other engineers, maybe two or three machinist he subcontracts and his wife and daughter in customer service. I’m not saying it’s you hotmeals but, I think when we hear ppl say “company” our mind pictures large corporations, target/walmart or Santa and fifty elves just churning out perfect products.

I just whipped out the blazer Firefox and got to torchin’ (I even had to send that back) silver lining, I found some really cool torches online. Now all the gear is collecting dust, I had to take a T-break, haha go figure 🤷 🫡

I understand they are a small company. My Forge broke in September also. They gave me an RMA number but I wasn't able to get it in the mail before the postal strike started, which was very soon after. They told me to wait until they give me the word after the strike ends to send it. Now they are taking other people's Forges before mine, while telling me that there are a small number of early adopters who's Forges died as early as September who they are trying to take care of first. Again, I am one of those people, but they are just going by order number now. It's completely ridiculous and there is no excuse for bullshitting me like that as opposed to just telling me straight up that I WAS one of those early adopters who's Forge broke early, but they are not going to take care of mine early with the others.

So you got an RMA to send it back. You have the mailing address to send it. The postal strike is over. The only one gate keeping is you. Go send your package. They will receive it.

I'll make this simple for you. I contacted them. I made it clear that I already have an RMA number. They told me I still have to wait because they're going by order number now, despite them previously saying that they are trying to help the group of people that I am a member of first.

@hotmeals your points are valid and I too have experienced what I perceived as CS that needed improvement. At the end of the day it was my own expectations that weren’t being fulfilled, not that Vestratto didn’t follow through. Believe John said all RMAs should be completed by February.

Positive side is that we are almost to the finish line and will have a new forge to power the Tornado. Hold tight brother, we will be reaping the rewards of our wait soon enough.

My expectations come directly from what they said. They aren't following through with what they set expectations for.

From our email conversation that seems unlikely. I may be misinterpreting, but it sounds like they're doing 10-15 every week or 2, and they're still only on the first batch which was supposed to include me.

Yeah, not sure on the order of replacements. If this gives you any idea, the list I saw posted by some moron on discord, I was towards the bottom half.

Totally not discounting your experience @hotmeals just trying to be a positive influence while we wait. Unless you were the moron that posted the list lol.

They told me they're starting with order #3926 and going sequentially from there, so if you know your order number, you know where you're at.

Hah, definitely not. I avoid Discord as much as possible and do not consider something like a Vestratto Discord server worth using Discord for.

the postal strike
Shit, I didn’t realize there was a postal strike. As far as your story goes I totally understand and sympathize with you. It’s very frustrating and I get it. I’m one of those silver lining guys and I wanna tell you, you’ll have your forge before you know it and in no time you’ll be getting smiggity smacked by your tornado or prob one of your many other vapes. Since you’re an early adopter you probably have a few vapes.

Just put it in the back of your mind, almost forget about it and vape on. It’ll get solved and we’ll be on here sharing profile settings. Maybe send another email like “wtf I was an early adopter and I’m feeling screwed”… stop ✋ maybe don’t use THAT language but you get it. I mean we’re on a website that starts with the word ‘fuck’ so, I’m being a little loose rn. Hope this gives you a chuckle and I’ll talk to you soon.

Since you’re an early adopter
Yeah I mean I don't really know what Vestratto is considering an "early adopter", but to me everyone who bought a Forge is an early adopter. They're recalling every single one in circulation after only selling them for a couple weeks or whatever it was. Any definition other than everyone is an early adopter is kind of ludicrous to me. I ordered mine on 4/24 IIRC, so there were definitely many earlier adopters, but mine was one of the ones that broke early. A lot of people who will be helped before me likely have Forges that have remained functional this entire time. It is what it is I guess, definitely pretty pissed though.

I can’t believe that I am still involving myself in this.

Please send in your broken forge. You have an RMA and an address to send it back. You can put it in the post. It will likely be your turn when it gets there. There aren’t that many units on the planet. I imagine if they have too many to deal with on one day, they’ll queue them up somehow.

Or you could stubbornly wait for your turn to get the second call to send it back. Yes. They told you to wait. Oops, it fell in the mailbox.

Send it. Move on. Touch grass.

Good backpedal. No. I'm not going to do that. I spent a lot of money on it, and for all I know the RMA number they gave me could be invalid now and they may be planning to give me a new one. I don't know who you think you are calling me stubborn for listening to the instructions of the manufacturer of the product in question, instead of some random person on an internet forum, who is apparently a lying cheater. That's pretty insane.

Why the fuck are the customers required to pay return shipping to fix Vestratto’s failures?

I got my email to return my Forge the other day. As we all know by now it's being done sequentially by order #.
Mine was 3963 (started at 3926) fyi. The email asks us to provide Vestratto with proof of shipping cost....I assume this means reimbursement.

The whole shipping it back thing is interesting. I'm guessing it stems from the postal strike in Canada. We are sending our Forge returns to a place called CanAm Parcel Pickup which sits on the border between State of Michigan in USA and Canada. It's basically a pickup point. When our packages arrive there they notify Vestratto and they sneak across the border :) and retrieve them.

I'm really looking forward to getting the V2 Forge.

I got the email telling me to send mine in to the new shipping destination the other day, with a new RMA number. This email did say they are planning to be done with the upgrades no later than February, so they seem to be moving pretty quickly, and I must have misinterpreted what they said before.

My order status is confirmed as of six days ago but not yet shipped. I think I was one of the earlier Tornado bricks. I've been enjoying the Tornado and Tempest quite a bit using the Wand, but I'm excited to revisit the Forge once they ship out!
