No worries everyone, I have been using mine quite frequently and the plastic taste has completely disappeared. To me it is the same plastic taste my Solo had for the first couple of cycles, but it dissipated quickly and is completely gone now.
I have been using with some friends that I used the Iolite with, and they really prefer the Puffit to the Iolite, as I do.
I want to share some thoughts about the color and size of this unit. One thing I think we all need to realize is that this is a very informed forum. We all know about and see the new models and 99% of us are very familiar with vaporization.
It amazes me how many of my smoker friends have never even heard of vaporizing, so most of the time even my marijuana using friends don't have a clue as to what I am doing when I am vaporizing. I use a Lava Tube and a Smok Vmax as a nicotine juice vaporizer, both black, and when I pull out my T1 and use it, even my smoking buds have no clue I am vaporizing a different substance.
My main point is that even my marijuana smoking friends (whom I do my best to convert) have no clue, so in my mind the general public is even more clueless. I recently went to a Roger Waters show, and they made us empty our pockets and did a wand/metal sweep. I pulled my two black mods out with the T1, a couple of tank cartridges and my Evo with the cartridges. The security guy asked me 'what are those'? I calmly explained that they were e-cigs, he looked another second or two and passed me through without another thought about it. Had I had the Puffit at that show, he would not have even bothered to ask me a question, just passed me on through.
Most of us spend hours researching this stuff, so our minds are sharp(?) with what we are learning, and most of the general public is too self absorbed to care or pay attention.
When I smoked, I use cigarette one hitters, and would never care if I drove past a cop with the hitter in my mouth. I would ask my friends 'do you ever check to see if the guy you just passed had a either a cigarette or a one hitter?' Of course the answer was always no.
Maybe a lot of it is attitude, but don't overestimate the observation skills of the general public, most people just don't care anymore.
