My Puffco Pro came today. Good old UPS. I was surprised how small the package it came in was: A 5 inch cardboard cube. Inside the cube was the puffco pro carrying case surrounded by a good amount of bubble wrap to protect it. I really like the carrying case. Reminds me of a cigarette case...4 inches (10 cm) square, and 2/3 (1.6cm) of an inch thick. The case seems high quality, sturdy, and has velvet molding inside that precisely fits each part, including the usb charger.
The unit itself measures exactly 5 inches (12.7 cm) long and 1/2 inch in diameter (1.27 cm) at its base. The color is difficult to put into words. From certain angles and lighting, it almost appears black. Examined in more direct lighting, the true color is a dark gray, silvery gun metal, almost black...if that makes sense. Holding it in your hand, it's obvious that the puffco is a beautifully machined, high quality piece. It's very sleek and stealthy, with the possible exception of the little led light that lights up when being puffed. It's VERY sexy and discreet otherwise. In short, the puffco is a beautiful thing, if a vape pen can be called beautiful.
Took an hour to charge out of the box using the provided usb charger hooked up to my laptop. It's fully charged when the light on the usb turns from red to green. There's no indicator on the puffco itself when it's done charging. To turn it on, press the button 5 times. You have to press it again to adjust temperature since it won't operate until you've selected a temperature first. Found that out after a few tries! The cartridge is huge. I would say it could easily fit 1/2 gram of wax, shatter, etc., if desired.
First, I tried a very small amount of shatter. The puffco has 3 temp. settings. Green setting (low) first: smooth tasty hit, very easy on the lungs. Blue setting (med): big clouds...still delicious, but be careful...this thing rips and the taste is so smooth, you don't always realize how big a draw you're taking. Didn't try the red setting. I think it would be a bit much for me. Your mileage may vary.
Next I tried some wax, packing the chamber with a more generous amount this time...about .2g. Equally good results. Can't say anything about battery life, since I just got it, but from all reports, the battery life is excellent. Based on this short experience, I would highly recommend the puffco. Pretty reasonable price, too. They give you a 10% discount for liking them on Facebook. Came to a total of $78US including UPS ground shipping...4 business day delivery in the lower 48.
