So my pivot arrived today, there’s a fair amount of corrosion where the battery/body attached to the chamber.

I feel like this probably shouldn’t be like this. I reached out to my retailer to see if I should go through them or through puffco. Will update to see how it gets resolved… 🤷‍♂️

As an update to this, I emailed puffco and they got back to me same day and are sending out a replacement battery, so I absolutely feel like they took care of my concerns.

Device itself rips too, happy with my purchase.

I'm gonna pick one of these up in a month or so. I remember from the Proxy launch that Puffco has defect issues with new products that get ironed out pretty quick.

The best use case for the extra chambers to me personally is being able to take back to back hits or use it with a friend without the thing getting hot as hell. Unique advantage in WaxPen World.

I was hoping a fresh cool chamber would be the solution to the heat alarm on the battery but nope, still have to wait. This isn't the best device to be using for back to back hits or with a friend.

I also just got my glass adapter and although it works, I will never ever use it over a 3dxl.

These chambers are a bitch to clean compared to a 3d/xl chamber. Almost reminds me of the Plus, oil (then ISO) gets "trapped" inside, and takes a lot of work to get clean and then dry. I can't trust just my eyes anymore....LOOKS clean....but nope... still have to swirl paper towel in the chamber constantly after soaking and then burn off.

What happened that made you change your mind from being the easiest to clean ever to already being a bitch to clean?

That’s how I feel about all the puffco atomizers honestly. Ultimately seems like you always end up reheating cooked oil stuck inside that atty housing. Love the ease of use and convenience though.

I didn't know they weren't actually clean because they LOOKED clean after I cleaned them like my 3dxl chambers. I suspect a lot of people will think the same thing and never even know. Once you think it's clean try a dry cycle on white or easter egg and enjoy the ghost dabs lol.

Multiple chambers for every dab bruh!

Not the full reason I do this. And I'm not actually recommending this to anyone. But part of the reason I haven't quite jumped on the Pivot wagon yet (though will soon) is... I'm back on my old shit with janky wax pens

I took the balls out, but I jimmied a DTv5 cup in the AVS M22 housing in a setup the Divine Tribe discord calls the "m5".

Advantages are huge amounts of "convection cooling" and the ability to break down every little peace and get it completely clean. Also... I look like a e-cig d-bag rather than a future crackhead with the Proxy.

Disadvantages... it's janky, lol. I have to manually set the temp control when installing a new cup. And the biggest downside... after maybe 2 back to back dabs the housing gets so fucking hot. Not like, post Vapcap hit hot. But only like a notch or two lower, lol.

I would recommend the Pivot to virtually everyone over this though. Unless you already own a Pico and a M22 housing. Then it's worth grabbing the v5 cups for $25.

I hate pens, but am somewhat curious.

I hate atomizers....

I'd move right along if that's the case. I'm not too thrilled about getting these atties clean, in fact i'm not even sure they can be?

This is after an iso soak and dry, I fired it up on white easter egg max temp 620+ just like i do my 3DXL after cleaning and this is what came out and a couple of cycles of ghost vape trails. I don't suggest doing this as it can possibly fry your atty. Just not sure how to get these atties CLEAN.

YUM!

Yeah, I caved and picked up one of these to try as well, and was a tad bit disappointed when I saw the atomizer still had some sort of gap allowing concentrate to get beneath the shell.

Seems like the best way to clean these sorts of atomizers completely would be with an ultrasonic cleaner bath.

The device is nice, form factor is great, and the performance is wonderful (I picked up the Kovacs glass spinning tip) and that works GREAT.

But as an owner of a Divine Tribe Quest Lightning (which seems to be the same diameter about as the Pivots cup) but it is a tad bit deeper and I have it on an ArcticFox compatible mod the only thing I am seeing different is a slightly smaller form factor with the Pivot but less control over temps, and more hassle to clean.

I've always wondered why people pick the closed/non user serviceable products when you have someone like Divine Tribe making rebuildable cups that are equal to if not better sometimes than these closed devices... anyone else have any thoughts or inputs on this?

Because 95% of the market isn't willing to fiddle with e-cig RDA components and Russian software to take a dab. Puffco spends a lot of marketing money just to convince people to load their own dabs vs buying a cartridge or pod. Because that's the vast majority of the concentrate consumer base.

This is coming from someone who is daily driving a m5 (DTv5 cup in an AVS m22 RDA housing).

I was thinking about this, but there is still the issue of drying it out with only a tiny little hole. If someone can clean and dry a pivot chamber and fire it up without much vape trails, congrats! Already have one chamber down :rip:

I was just thinking maybe you could potentially set a toaster oven on a low heat after cleaning and then just let the automizer dry up that way for a bit before using again, or a dehydrator unit to pull out all the moisture.
