Just need somewhere to vent my frustration that one of the largest arguments against legalising weed is that 'inhalation of burnt plant matter is dangerous.'

Its like banning bleach because drinking it is harmful!

Hopefully the future holds more health conscious people, who value their lungs and bodies see combustion as a caveman like way of consuming cannabis.

That is exactly the same with the gateway theory! It is only plausible because the drug is illegal and mixed in with all the other hard drugs, if it were legal and purchased at a shop like alcohol, no one would move onto harder drugs because then they would have to go out of their way to find an illegal drug dealer.

EDIT: Also great to see an Australian vapor enthusiast, we are few and far between!

IMO, I think a lesser factor to the gateway theory is that by spreading all this BS anti-weed propaganda, people will have less faith when they are told how truly dangerous some drugs really are...

I know I lost all faith in gov info when I looked up what they thought of weed, and when the spin basically came to the conclusion that tobacco is better than weed, tobacco is fine but weed is evil...

I wish that emoticon didn't describe my feelings so perfectly...

When (if) weed is eventually legalised, it will be nice to look back and laugh at the stupidity of it all, but at the moment my lips are sealed...

I don't know.. everywhere what i see is governments being more and more invasive in people's lifes with the argument of public health and welfare.

Sure there are a lot of good indicators as well, but in the grand scheme of things it has gotten worse.

The legislation is changing to a patient/medical view as cannabis is being portrayed as medicin in many ilnesses and the recreational users are viewed as sick people that need help.

But on the other side, you see the police completely brainwashed when it comes to drugs, as well as the general opinion, and most would accept an even bigger opression. The problem will be when they can detect THC serum levels as fast as alcohol. It is a matter of time since technology and research are always moving forward.

Hopefully someday the general consensus will be different, now not so much. I feel as though there is a constant fight between good and evil in the world that manifests in many things.

I would say it is all about the money, but somehow it is more than that, i think it is about surviving and about what you are willing to do to survive and also, about character.

One day maybe we realize we have been doing the wrong things and it won't be too late.

New York state is currently trying to outlaw the fake weed that is being sold in many stores as the legal
alternative to marijuana. Turns out this fake chemical shit is sending people to the hospital.
They keep missing the boat on the health record of real cannabis.
Stupidity on this level is criminal.

the propaganda itself is dangerous too I think. by spreading so much lies among youth, they won't know what to believe anymore. harder drugs won't seem as bad eother maybe.
and, once in italy me and 2 friends bought some from a streetdealer(well, only 1 friend, me and the other friend decided it wasn't worth it's price), and when we were done he asked us of we also wanted to buy some heroin...
ofcourse we declined, if that would happen to an uninformed experimental youth who doesn't know wich information he has heard is actually true, I can imagine he might be tempted.

it takes time to ban, so everytime there will be a period when the research chemical is legal. and the more you ban, the more obscure they get, less of them is known and possibly even more dangerous. if they wouldn't have banned weed, wich is safe and tested over a long time, the fake weed would never be as popular and we wouldn't have been in this mess. now fake weed is banned, and the next thing will stand up. heard of a similar situation in the UK, it started with methedrone or something like that, and by now after mephedrone being banned they still sell legal blends with research chemicals, but now nobody even knows wich chemicals are in it.

My thoughts exactly! The drug problem, the one with the crime and everything is because of the banning policies, you should try to engage the issue with a different atittude.

Because of the war on drugs we have people growing stuff that makes what i was smoking in my 20s look not only harsh but a waste of time. our government will never win the war on drugs and they are being very slow at catching up with the bath salts being sold with synthetic cannabis in them. they not only kill but can really scramble your brain matter. I agree they should not be banned cause it will only make them more attractive to peeps who wanna do stuff they are told not to. I left NY because i do not like big brother sitting on my chest like a 3000lb gorrila and there is a huge push in that state to not only ban the bath salts but to make cannabis with a potency of over 65% get you stiffer penalties and longer jail times.

Fuck bath salts. Ban all that fake crap. Brothers buddie went nuts. I think they called it "Plant Food". I know one other who is wacked from bath salts. Both of them almost died from being dumb.
