I used to store my herbs the same way. Then I tried JyARz. They really do make a difference. The medicine containers dried my herb out much quicker than a JyAR. I still use the medicine containers for ABV and stems and such. But they don't compare to either a mason jar or something with a great seal like a JyAR, and never hold my fresh herb anymore.

But my goal is to dry the herb for vaping so why wouldn't I want a pill bottle.......

Yup. Typically, stock pill containers are not air tight.

Tito, can you post up a pic of that air-tight pill container? I've never seen one before.

I really don't feel it was an over the top comment......calling large pharmaceutical companies scumbags for choosing a cheaper option isn't like directing it at anyone. I was talking about large coporations trying to save money I view as scumbags not people who try and save money(who doesn't lol). Anyway, I'm amazed that comment was taken so seriously. It wasn't meant to offend anyone nor was it directed at anyone. I never said someone trying to save a buck is a scumbag you put in the someone before my actual quote. I was saying scumbags which was referring to the word "they" in my previous post. Not malicious at all, not sure why it was viewed that way..

Two, is that ANY business's primary responsibility, be they large corporations or small mom and pops primarily responsibility is to generate profits and they do that by "saving money". I had assumed you had read through the thread and saw the train of comments leading to that......then you would know the context. Next, why would I want to be specific when "tossing out insults"? Then they would be directed at someone [which I wasn't trying to do]

I won't even get into the topic of why pill containers aren't airtight, and that pharmacies supply the containers, not big pharma.

Surely you know the old saying about making assumptions. A post should always pass inspection on its own merit. It shouldn't require reading a whole thread, or even a whole page, for it to be acceptable. As grokit noted, your vague post had at least a couple of us thinking that you equated being thrifty with being a scumbag. Hell, I've been known to clean out a paper coffee filter and reuse it. I brown bag my lunch every day at work too. I'm always trying to save a buck, even if it's just so I don't feel guilty about buying another vape or a glass piece.

First I wish you would talk about why pill containers aren't airtight because that pertains to the thread and could be valuable information. Second, failing to read through the read would seem that you had read the post without context and jumped the gun to reprimand me. But that is neither here nor there the fact is I nevercompared being frugal or resourceful to being a scumbag.....our planet needs more resourceful people and less profit motivated "scumbags".

Are we all sure that it is big pharma who bottle their meds in plastic bottles prior to distributing to the pharmacies? ...or could it be that the pharmacies are the ones who bottle in plastic? Just thinking out loud... Don't get me wrong - I'm no bleeding heart for big pharma, and take no offense when they're referenced in derogatory terms.

Both. If your script is of large enough volume, you "may" get the bottle that was initially sent from the pharmacutical company, but those bottles have a seal on top of the bottle that lies under the cap so those are much more airtight. When ordering in smaller quantities, those pills are then put in smaller bottles supplied by the pharmacy and they do not put that seal on their bottles.
