Sick of combusting, want to make edibles.
So, it seems like decarboxylation happens just fine with herb mixed with oil. No need to decarb loose herb.
But
- tries to avoid "wasting cannabis due to falloff in butter oil's aggressiveness as a solvent". what. does this mean decarbing is less efficient if THCA is dissolved in oil?
Seems like the pressure cooker reaches 250F since it only has a single pressure setting: 15psi. But atmospheric pressure is ~14.7psi, does this mean it's 15psi above atmospheric pressure? That checks out - the boiling point of water at 15+14.7 psi is just around 250F. It also has a low setting, of 8 psi. The boiling point would be 235F at this setting.
I think this plan is solid.. appreciate any feedback.
1. Pour ~150mL of coconut oil, 1 gram of herb, ?[0.3-2] grams of ABV, and a gram of moonrocks into a mason jar.
2. Put it in a simmer bath so it liquifies. Break the stuff apart with a fork or something
3. Leave it sealed for a while so it infuses?
4. Put it (sealed, suspended) in a pressure cooker.
250F for.. 30 minutes? Not sure of the optimal time for this temperature.
5. Take it out of the heat, let it cool down and depressurize.
6. Add lecithin.
7. Either make capsules, or add it to something like matcha tea.
