well I got the new pong with glass in the mail today... Huge disappointment. The thing fits on top of the unit even less securely than the original did. I guess at least this one wont be melted to the top of the bullet if I remove it when its cold... or will it? Im about done with this horrible company, once this unit dies I'll be moving on to something more legitimate.

Post use edit:

I hate the way it fits still but it does seem to work a lot better than the old plastic pong. If this thing decides to sit on the unit a little bit better I'll be a happy camper but at the moment there is a huge gap between the unit and pgong and it looks like it just wants to jump right off the top of the PnP the second I lay it down or god forbid place it in my pocket. I guess only time will tell.

I couldn't be much more satisfied with my PnP. While it's the first vaporizer I've owned and the only one that I've used I find that I use much less medicine than when combusting. Used properly the stealth is impressive. Last night I had a sleep study done for apnea, I brought my PnP and some purple urkle with me and did a couple of bullets in the restroom before going to bed, nobody suspected a thing

I'm not sure if you also changed out the collar but my new pgong/collar combo clicks together securely. It's not too late to order one from yokokid ^_^

LOVE my Solo (older model), but the PNP gives denser clouds, IMO. Solo sure beats it on taste, though!
Yea Solo wins in taste. But saying it gives bigger clouds is a lie. The PNP on 2 with a packed bullet gives me stupid clouds.

Well, I wouldn't say @Kaptan is lying...just his experience, I guess.

For portables, I own the PNP, original DaVinci, Firefly and Solo. The PNP definitely gives the biggest clouds...with many different strains. My experience, anyway.

Hope a really good glass MP option becomes available.

I think VB needs to just learn from the PNP the bullet system works. They need a better MP and Battery. I like the LED function and simplicity.

They will nail it on the next portable.

Remove the glass insert then move the 0-ring about half way up the glass then put the glass in the plastic and you shouldn't be able to see the o-ring. I had a similar issue but found it was the 0-ring right on the bottom thus pushing it off the unit. Now my Gpong fits perfectly, and wont fall off with shaking or tapping or anything.

Ugh of course..
I just got this unit from theyoyokid1 this week as a replacement for my other that died under warranty. I'm going to use it for a while and see what happens

Wow that battery is a lot bigger than I expected.. You'd think it would hold a charge a little longer. At least it looks fairly easy to replace?

It's a standard 18650 battery, commonly used in e-cigs. 18=18mm diameter and 650=650mm long.

2200mAh is pretty standard, the same as my AW IMR 18650 button top e-cig batteries.
AFAIK, the best batteries recommended for sub-ohm vaping in mechanical mods are the Sony VTC5 batteries. These are rated at 2600mAh, and 30A continuous discharge current!! They are quite expensive and there are a lot of fake ones around.

about that battery replacement... i remember someone having replaced their battery early on this thread... and i 'm keeping it in mind for the future, in case my unit's battery life drops...

so i want to ask... has anyone had any problems with replacing their battery?

Yes, I remember this post too. That's how I learnt how to dismantle the unit. I don't remember seeing any updates on this. What I can remember was that @Engineering recommended not replacing the battery as you could lose the temperature calibration settings. I don't remember whoever did it having any problems though.

@GeekVape,

I truly appreciate the time you took to share these detailed step-by-step pictures.

I think of myself as a hands on person, but by you sharing this valuable information... it helps out a great deal.

This will instill confidence in anyone to tackle this job.

No wonder you got so many likes for your post!!!

Good on yah mate!

I'm glad TRVB via TYYK1 have made both the PGong and "Top".

PNP has to be hands down the most travel convenient portable vape!

Now with this all glass path, and the fix available, there should be no reason for the PNP to be a top contender.

All vapes have their issues, just read the other threads and find out for yourself.

The PNP comes close to perfect.

Especially if you invest in a portable power source, you cannot go wrong.

I just took my PNP camping and I kept the PNP topped off the whole weekend with a deep cycle battery that was hooked up to a solar panel!!!

Anyone PNP'd around a camp fire?

This is the only exception to allowing for some combustion!

No problem, my pleasure! It feels good to give a little back to the FC community after all the help and knowledge I have gained here.

Nice portable charging setup. I still haven't sorted one out for myself, but I mainly use it at home or around a friends. I find the battery will last just long enough to satisfy 2 people during an evening session. I do wish the battery would last longer though.

If we can get some positive feedback from people who have replaced their batteries with a higher capacity one, I may change mine too. I think I have an idea on how to change the battery without losing these so called "temperature calibration settings".

We can pretty much customize the PNP by taking it apart and just painting it. Pretty cool.

Good idea. Photoshop to the rescue.

I'm initially impressed with the new GPonG. The taste has improved for sure. I've also noticed that the GPonG is more airtight than the PonG was, resulting in a more restricted draw. The glass insert gets oily quickly and will need to be cleaned/re-claimed quite often.

I've been using a glass FlashVAPE stem (with the silicone tip) as an extended mouthpiece. Unfortunately, it doesn't stay in quite as well as it used to with the PonG, but it still does the job.

Side note; it's taken a year, but my friend and I have finally found a use for the 'aromatherapy' bowl that comes with the Solo. It makes a great 'stage' for bullet preparation:

I just created an account. I just wanted to say I bought my Pinnacle Pro locally from Fire and Earth in Olympia WA, and it has this defect. First off they overcharged me. After they were rude to me about it being broken I reached out to yoyokid1 at ebay and he is quickly assisting me in repairing the unit. I just wish i went to him first. Great guy.

I know that I wish I had found this forum before I had purchased my PnP, I believe that from now on I'll be buying from yoyokid1 for my PnP needs

Should I get a pax or pinnacle pro for my first portable vape?

I like the pax due to the sleek look and if everyone is buying them something must be good

And the pinnacle gets my attention cause of price and can use with wax

The best way to decide is to try one out, but that can be difficult, unless you have a friend with one. Do your homework and buy from an authorized seller.

It all depends on your preferences and how you will be using it? I personally didn't like the Pax, but that is me. I like the Pinnacle Pro better than the Pax, but only you can decide.

I think the Pnp will get better over time. There are some units that are cracking around the top collar area, there seems to be a fix from theyoyokid1. If you decide on the Pnp get it from theyoyokid1, He is standing behind the unit if the cracking happens. The yoyo kid is only charging $20 to fix the unit, whereas VaporBlunt is charging $60+.

My favorite portable vape is the Solo, and I like the Ascent, the flavor blows the Pnp out of the water. You have other options. It nice to have variety too.

The Pax is sleek.. but after a while it gets too hot to hold. Not to mention its a conduction cape that is less efficient. The PNP is small man trust me. You can never understand how small it is until you hold one.

I prefer the PNP but ultimately its what fits your needs.

Pnp is stealth, discreet and yes small. It looks like an e-cigar. I'm not sure if there is such a thing, but that would be the best way to describe it.
