I started a thread today in the glass forum for The Aardvark by Vaporblunt, some of you might remember this from a couple months back. Anyway I figured I would also post it here since a lot of you have the PNWT and I think the only place the Aardvark was seen was in this thread.

Back on May 5th, in the Pinnacle Pro thread, @TherealVaporblunt posted a video of a nectar collector style attachment for the Pinnacle water tool. They are now available from THEYOYOKID1 on E-bay with the water tool. If you contact THEYOYOKID1 directly you can purchase the Aardvark without the water tool.

I ordered one today so with the 4th being on Friday I will most likely see it Monday. I'll let you know how it performs.

Oh yeah, the video can be seen in the Pinnacle pro thread Page 159, post #3972. If I knew how, I would post it myself.

Howdy folks! I have been reading everyone’s posts and have a burning desire to write. So enjoy…

The BarnBoy on GPonG – I love this damn thing! I have bumped it off my work bench many times to the concrete floor and it has not broken. The taste is so much better than the PonG, better flow than the interim TRVB GonG (sorry @TherealVaporblunt, but I do love what you did in this act of kindness!), and it keeps the bullets fully inserted so there aren't any leaks giving excellent clouds. But after a few weeks of abuse, when you find the debris blow outs are harder due to screen cloggage, and when you hold the GPonG up to the light and it looks dark brown like a molasses bottle; then maybe it is time to clean the bugger! Here is a small photo series to show you how the BarnBoy does it…

First pull the inner glass sleeve out from the PES (?) holder, drop it in a small locking cap container screen end down, fill it with some ISO, lock the cap and shake for 10-20 seconds. Using a Q-tip, get the sleeve from the container and swab the insides poking out the screen to save and clean later. I will repeat this a couple of times until the sleeve is completely clean. Then do a final water rinse and mouth blow dry…

Set the sleeve aside and saturate more Q-tips with ISO to work on the screen. Don’t be rough with the screen, gently swab insides and out, repeating this until the screen is clean. Water rinse, dry, push the screen back into the sleeve and put aside. I will then take a dry rag or paper towel to wipe out the PES (?) holder as best as I can, maybe a dry Q-tip to finish the hard to get areas. With the O-ring seated away from the sleeve lip, insert it back into the PES (?) holder. As the O-ring penetrates, help it with your finger nail to make sure it gets in the holder’s tube and then push sleeve until fully seated in the holder. Sometimes a little spit will help with the insertion… :whip:

I have previously shown how I clean the PNP in this posting so it will not be repeated…

The BarnBoy on bullets – I have previously posted many times about the use of 50/50 0% E-Juice to clean my bullets. Well the stuff must have coated them like some Bakers Secret as it has been over a month now since I did this, they are all still clean and I easily blow the ABV wads into my ABV buckets. The herbs have not been sticking in the bullets like they use to, and I RARELY have to ISO clean them…

The BarnBoy on batteries – I’m starting to have what I think are battery issues. My unit will power down with a blue rising LED display. This only happens when I am not plugged in, and when at 4 bars of charge or less. As of late I have found (x2 successful 30+ minute sessions) that if I use my cars AC to keep the battery side of the PNP cool, the unit will not power down as described above. I am going to play with this some more, but my short/long term plan is to do what @MileHighLife posted here and do it with his recommended Panasonic ncr18650b. The price on these is anywhere from $15 -$25. So @Sativape, if I factor this, shipping, suspecting the standard PNP battery will not cost as much as the Panasonic, I would hope TRVB will offer us a replacement program that would cost $25-$30 and have the standard 90 day warrantee. But if it was the Panasonic, then maybe $35-$40 for a premium battery with a 1 year warrantee. I would prefer the latter. As shown in the photo from MileHighLife, the battery is attached to a small circuit board. I don’t think TRVB will want to unsolder this like I will, but have someone refurbishing returned battery assemblies for used in warrantee issues. I personally would be very interested in buying just that PCBA and battery assembly for $45-$65 and do the swap-out myself…

FYI- I just ordered a ncr18650b so this story will continue…

guys, does anyone know if the collar, around the top of the bullet, can be wiped with alcohol-soacked qtip or if it is likely to start cracking?

I would not use ISO, Wipe it when its still warm or use the supplied brush. Ive had mine for over a year and never needed cleaning, just a rub of the brush after use and its still shiny clean and no cracks,

I think 50% ISO is safe, but I can confirm on Monday
thanks alot, it would ease my mind, because i have already wiped it a couple of times is the past with 93% ethanol.. and am worried if i should do it again, or expect cracks as it already is.

nemo,
i've been watching this forum closely, and have been awaiting for Vaporblunt to respond of my faulty PnP which i've emailed them 2 days ago along with my original invoice from Vapornation.

here's a video of my PnP problem;

i just bought my PnP, 2 months ago from Vapornation and it has stopped heating up after 11 blinks at level 1.

I enjoyed using my PnP as it was my first vaporizer. loved how much herbs i saved and effective it was.

but i also agree with some of the comments here at the forum of the flaws of PnP.

Anyway, am looking forward of hearing from Vaporblunt soon, as I'll be travelling again and would love to have this vaporizer in my travels.

Thanks.

@BarnBoy, nice post brother!
I completely forgot about @MileHighLife 's post about the battery.

I'm not sure why I only imagined 2 leads coming into one connector that plugged into the PNP main PCB... I must have been vape-dreaming.

So what's the word on this battery replacement ordeal? It's the only thing holding me back from making a purchase. I'd rather not buy an expensive vape only to have it last <1 year.

I'd get the pax with its 10 year warranty, but my brother has it and I'd prefer a wider variety.

Still wondering why VB hasn't come out with a car charger or USB charger. Things like this attract more people to the unit.

The Pinnacle Pro is way too harsh for my throat... Even on level 1 it burns. Anyone with the glass lined mouthpiece who had similar heat issues as me want to chime in on the difference? :tinfoil:
