I had to send my PnP in for repair. Vaporblunt received it on the 1st and I just got an E-mail today stating "We have ran some tests to your unit it does not work properly, there for we are going to be sending you a new unit." Since my unit went out I had to E-mail Vaporblunt a total of four times. All of my E-mails except one were answered within 24Hrs. I just wanted to put this out there, with all the negative customer service stories out there maybe this one positive one will help renew a little faith in The Vaporblunt company.

@Grim Chiclets Harbor Freight Tools has a tube flaring kit for $12.00 that might work for the bullets. http://www.harborfreight.com/7-piece-tube-flaring-kit-5969.html
Edit: Looking at the flare tool now, I believe it is to big for the bullets. I'll keep looking.

It is very frustrating to see people getting the great customer service they should be getting, and I'm just waiting for a response that isn't from a form email, let alone some useful info.

Anyone try shortening their bullets yet? I'd like to try it on one of mine, but lack the tooling to put the flaring on the top... hmm

Shorten the bottom and put the screen back in? would seem easier than trying to get that flare right, or just push the screen a little higher butthat might restrict air flow

Just got a warranty replacement for a heater issue, and the bullets that came with the new unit are way taller than the other I have... that's both the ones that came with my original PnP, and the set of 2 extra bullets I bought...

I'll try to post a pic later, but there is a pretty big difference. Now I've never had a problem with the MP/PonG degrading previously, but reckon these new bullets will definitely come more in contact with the mouthpiece just by being so much taller... wonder if this will/could be the cause of some of the problems (I know it's been mentioned as a possibility before)..?

I'm not sure the original bullets touch the bottom of the chamber, the extra height may do that, from the feel of it I'd say the og bullets sit .5-1.5 cm above the bottom of the chamber but that's just a guess. Glad you got your replacement though, still need to send mine somewhere

Did you try contacting Vapefiend about it?

Also my new replacement has a auto shut off of 10 mins... iirc it was 8 mins previously (could be my memory, I'm getting on a bit you know)??

8 minutes is definitely the shut off time. 10 is a nice even number.

Yes I filled out the form and got a reply with address to send it, he'll probably get it but I'm still deciding whether to send it to VB, Yoyokid (purchased) or VF (local) As I said VF will probably get it, unless there's a good reason for it to take a holiday abroad

That's what I thought... my new one is 10 mins. Tested three times - 2x level 5 (burn off's) and 1 x level 2 (just to be sure)...

I believe the first two minutes are considered "warm up" time, unless you are starting your count from when the lights go solid.

No, count started from when I switched it on. Although pretty sure it didn't take 2 mins to get to temp...? I dunno  just seemed to be on longer than I expected and when I looked discovered it was 10 mins

Ahhh the days when I'd look over at the Pnp just as the lights went solid, need to visit the PO but I'm reluctant to pay the charge, at the back of my mind I'm thinking how long will the next one last, or the one after that (do they have a monthly replacement subscription anywhere?)

I legitimately cried when my ascent and PnP broke, still grieving, not hopeful.

I feel that the vapor sometimes gets too hot because the mouthpiece is so close to the oven. Does anyone have a remedy for this issue besides using a hydrotube?

attach a whip or extention of fitting choice, for a while I had a long plastic tube for a whip(half inch I think) made it nice to use in pocket or on the table, very smooth, like breaths, of very high air

Well the bullets, at least mine, are TIG welded in by some method I'm unfamiliar with, and the actual dimensions for the flaring really shouldn't be too screwy from my perspective, as long as it's got a little of a lip around the top since they're already decently snug in my unit- but hey, i could be wrong

If you're using the PonG, you could use a 14mm downstem as long as it isn't slotted or diffused or anything, or a small bubbler with no water- I do the latter daily

That message was posted towards people hating on @ BarnBoy.

Oh dear, which part of 'not complaining' don't you understand? I simply pointed out that it's not good English. And, if it was his first ever post anywhere then it's something that was worth pointing out. Not hating but simply saying that it wouldn't go down well in a lot of other places.

And, since I did point out that it seems to be fine here, I don't really understand what the hostility was about.

Well its starting to happen... I was REALLY hoping that only using my PnP between settings 1-3 would save me some of the trouble you guys are having but I am already starting to see some separation along the seam at the very top of the the circular collar, where the bullet goes inside. It's hard to explain the location but if you take off the mouth piece (pong in my case) then it is starting to seperate at the tallest part of the slanted collar. I will definitely post a picture if I can get a decent one with my phone. I'm sure its not a problem now but the unit is barely a month old and I imagine that it will only get worse.

edit: Here is a photo.. not sure why it wont embed but if you look you can see the separation starting at the very top of the collar

mod note: Fixed. Dropbox uses scripts to prevent direct linking to images. I know how to defeat that. ;)

Ahh yes it seems to me they used an electrical arc to bond the screen to the bullet through the metal, that could be completely wrong but it looks that way and it's the only and first way I could see it being attached the way it is. How much are you planning on shortening it?

I'd probably go for a half size, I just want to have a smaller chamber haha
But yeah TIG welding is basically what you described there, it's called Heli-arc by the old-schoolers (helium shielded arc welding(they use co2/argon mix now(or pure argon for titanium)))

Another approach would be to just remove the flaring and inlay the bullet upside down into a wooden stem, make a true log stem that can slide right down into the bullet chamber, but I'd want to throw a screen into the PnP in the event of that... another day

How about drilling small holes or putting a screen in the fmj I'm not sure how the air grove would affect that though but I know alot of people don't use theirs

I finally got a response, and they said it won't be covered under warranty! What a crock! I will definitely not be supporting vapor blunt ever again. This is unacceptable, especially after the extreme wait in response time.

Did they say how much to get it fixed by them? Not that I think you should have to pay to get it fixed I was just curious. VB should be standing behind their product.

$105! And I paid $160!! Do ask! This information NEEDS to be known. It's not right for them to know that the materials can't stand the temperatures the unit puts out, and not stand behind it when they break. I will not be paying, and buying a solo.

@ CarolKing,

I know you were at one point using the DA glass stem on with your PNP.
Are you still using it?
Did you modify your pong to accommodate the DA glass stem?
My DA glass stem hack job basically resulted in there being no contact between the pong shaft and the PNP chamber wall.
If this is the same case for you?
Do you remember when your PNP cracked?
or would it be hard to determine when your PNP developed the crack?

It was cracked before I modified my pong. I filed the pong down and had to smooth down the ridges until it fit. It works real well with the Ascent small mouth piece ( inner glass stem ).

Also, when I got the VB gong in the mail, it said VaporBlunt on the outside packaging.:hmm:

BarnBoy

Reformed Combustor
Gents,
I truly understand why @Burnttoast22 ‘s overly British English wired brain doesn’t understand the BarnBoy’s American farm English nor why I would so openly choose to murder the Queens English when I obviously know better. It explains why the BarnBoy hasn’t received a single like, and Burnttoast22 is perfectly correct for doing so! So why do I choose to write the BarnBoy in a style that is far from proper English? Call it stupid American humor; the idiot farm stable boy fixing a toy from a prestigious San Francisco Industrial Engineering firm and trying to help others along the way. Maybe I did this to hide myself unlike others that use their FC handles for other personal accounts in their lives. Andy Kaufman was extremely annoying by some, considered brilliant by others. My wife and parents never understood Monty Python, but the BarnBoy does. It appears from all the defense @llamaman001, @Sativape , @Krizzle, @Mister G and others understand the BarnBoy just fine… (Thanks gents!)

For those that are not enjoying life with a PonG and/or are having customs problems, might I suggest the Epic Adjust-A-Bowl again! Below is a photo of the packaging and invoice. I still love the hand written note on the invoice. Use the “FCLOVE” or contact Andrew and tell him the BarnBoy sent you…

sGK2xzU.jpg

I was so happy to get this Monday. Yes the TRVB is more stealth, but the Epic is better overall! Less flow restriction, can hold the bullet in proper place, easier to keep clean, screen doesn't clog, vapor is cooler due to longer path, glass doesn't get as hot on back-2-back sessions (think this is due to the TRVB orifice), and the Epic polished glass surface doesn't stick to WT as does the TRVB frosted GonG surface…

EDIT: @Burnttoast22 - I do like your psilocybin mushroom avatar! Did I get that right???
