The zx is my first injector vape. Is the z bowl compatible with other injector heads? Or is it a proprietary fit between the heater and bowl? I dont have it in front of me right now.

Indeed, the Zbol is compatible with other 14mm injectors.
I used it with the SKO and the Tiodw Mini before selling them.
The Hornet will also work perfectly with the Zbol.

Received my ZX yesterday and I was quite surprised at the size of the thing. Much smaller than I'd thought, with very little excess material in both the bowl and head. These things are beautiful, and the Zirconia really kicks it up a notch in looks. I haven't used an injector in a while because it puts the material so far away from the heat source, but this little guy looks like an ideal solution simply due to it's size. The bowl is so tiny, it's cute. It actually might be a bit too small to handle with my giant fingers. It is perfect for one-hitters though, and matches the amount of herb I normally use on the first screen setting. Good to know I can use larger loads with the additional screen notches, but it might present a flow problem if you use fine grinds.

I'm using mine with an Auber controller, and after a 15 minute burn-off at 350c, I went about the task of calibrating the temps. I like to do this to get a baseline for all my vapes. I set the controller to 232c (rough combustion temp for flower), then keep upping the temp correction until the bowl just starts to combust on a normal draw with a normal load. You'll taste it right away. Many bowls of experimenting later (freaking sky high now), I've settled on a correction factor of 1.4 for my draw on the Auber controller. After getting this set, I tend to vape at about 200c on every device.

Already, I'm quite happy with the flow of the ZX with the 3mm balls it comes with. It has just about the right resistance for me. The flow sits right between a Screwball with smaller than stock 2mm faceted corundum, and an Omega with 3mm faceted corundum. I use a 14mm female to 18mm male adapter with a screen pushed in as a microdose bowl on all my ball vapes, so the ZX works with my usual bowl out of the gate. Just have to push the screen in a bit deeper to accommodate the injector. Makes comparisons quite easy.

Pure function wise, I'd say I get a slightly more even roast with my diffusers and gemcut rubies. It's also tiny bit more of a hassle loading bowls, getting the flower settled lower into the bowl and out of the way of the injector. Personally, I think this is worth it to get more metal out of the airpath. It just needs a perfectly sized zirconium herb tamper!

Overall, the ZX is a fantastic injector, both in form and function. If you like one hitters with a smaller bowl to match, and like beautiful minimalistic ball vapes, the ZX will be right up your alley. I was worried at first with the lack of mass, but I'm pleasantly surprised at how well the ZX keeps up with a large draw! Because of it's minimal weight and size, it doesn't feel as clunky as my Screwball or Omega. I must say, the form and function of the ZX is just top notch. I think if you match this with a short dark hardwood coil handle and bowl cover, it'd be <cheff's kiss> amazing. That cheap aluminum coil stand needs to go though... :p

Does the longer handle from Ed’s fit the zx heater? How is it installed? Without seeing the handle from Ed’s I can’t picture how you would install it if the handle is solid. Or does it not connect to make a full circle?

this is the ed's tnt handle that I purchased for the zx. It works great. And looks good on the zx.

Here's how it's done:

It should be a little easier to do with Ed's handles, imo. Couple tips: when you flatten the cord and insert it into the handle, be cognizant of the direction you do that in so when you pull the cord through, the slot faces downward relative to the coil/head. It can be turned after it's inserted but not as easily as doing it from the get-go. Also, you may need to adjust for fit by cutting away the rubber sleeve from the coil's joint so that it slides far enough into the handle for a secure fit. Conversely you can add electrical tape to pad that joint to tighten up the fit if need be. A small piece of tape rolled and flattened can work as a wedge to keep the opposite end of the cable from slipping out of the slot.

Hi friends thanks for everyone holding down the thread, it’s so great to see the new first impressions as it feels like it’s been quite a long while since I’ve had any inventory to send out. Super happy to see the positive experiences so far so thank you all for rocking with the Z Tribe!

There’s a bunch of 3 shelf bowls and ZX kit orders packed up and ready to be dropped off at the post office, but it’s been raining most of the week so I’m just waiting for a good time to get them out, sorry for any additional delays. I used to live just a corner away from the post office but it’s not so close anymore and I don’t own a vehicle. Thanks as always for your patience and cooperation.

If you haven’t received a shipping notification yet it’s most likely because I’m waiting on more screens or USA glass bowls.

The 3 shelf ZX bowl order page had an option to add 50 screens to the order, but I switched the ZX screen sets to 20 pieces a while ago on the ZX Plug & Play page. This error caused me to run out of screens 3x faster, whereas I should have had enough to fulfill all pending orders and then some.

A number of orders are waiting on American glass bowls - I never received a tracking number or heads up that the order was finished from my glassblower so I assumed they were still in progress, but yesterday I found out they had sent them to my old address. Trying to figure out how to best resolve this. I was told the parcel was marked return to sender, but it’s hard to know exactly if they were picked up and on the way back to the manufacturer.

Trying to give it a few days to see if a resolution appears as the glass is already paid for. No problems at all splitting and shipping separately for domestic orders but international shipments become cost prohibitive on small items like that.

I’m way behind on emails, sorry for the delay, been trying to work through these back orders as a number of messages are related to order status, but I’m skimming through messages to make sure there’s no last minute address changes and what not. Some of you guys already know I start writing long detailed emails so I’m trying to get as many vapes sent out as I can right now, but I’ll try and get back to everyone soon. In the mean time it’s easier for me to post an update here and hope more people see it.

Thanks again for everyone’s amazing patience and support it truly means and helps out a lot.
