We're back ♬ ♫
Whew... that was a long road, and we are back
one entire day early to report that the issues we faced are done and over.
Dead and stinkin'.
Life begins again today.
Over the past 464 days, 5 hours, 30 minutes and 0 seconds....
.....Or 1 year, 3 months, 6 days
I have lurked while I posted on FC.
When I saw one of you in a jam, I wrote to you privately, and sent you the parts I had left, as I figured I would never see my units again.
That is all good.....
It was paying it forward in the small way I could without having folks to our home.
I saw a few patients at our home, but did not invite the entire community... only those that were terminal and critical or just downright important to us.
We were able to get Vapor Brothers units to a Lawyer who distributed them to low (or no-income) legal patients in Phoenix surrounding outskirts, and we did skype instruction.
Now.....
We are getting all of my Vaporizers back.
We won't have parts for all of them, so I will need to re-build my collection of parts.
That may take a small amount of time.
I will place some of my units for sale at very low costs in the FC Classifieds, and I will use that money to replace parts to get the units being returned to "complete condition".
Parts like stems, tubing, screens, mouthpieces, and of course Batteries... as I am certain many batteries died in that period of time.
Units will be given to patients referred by Doctors, as they always had been, and the stories shared with you right here.
Members of FC are invited to do 4 things:
- If you or a family member are in trouble, and are a medical user, that needs help, you may email me or message me directly, and I will discuss your situation with you, and if you are in a category of patient that I can help, I will do my best to help you, or get you help from someone in your area.
- If you have functioning spare parts or batteries you do not use and wish to donate them, message me and I will gladly accept these parts.
- I will accept donations of Vaporizers, and each will go to a qualifying patient.
- Any money donated to the link "to help low income patients" will go toward the purchase of parts and consumable goods (butane/batteries).
We have been in contact with Vito and we hope it will not be long until he is back in action again!
@scottg402 and I have been in touch. They sent an agreement for me to sign. I signed the document and sent it by email, and by USPS.
Haze and their legal staff are trying to work out details that will allow them to again participate in my Paying It Forward program ( I am not a legal non-profit entity, which complicates things for their attorneys). In the meanwhile they are making themselves available for help I need with my existing units and patients.
(Among the Vaporizers being returned are a few Haze Units that were not distributed by the time the police arrived here... so we will start off with those units.)
I did not get to see some special patients for over a year.
I lost 3 of these patients to their cancer, and one to suicide.
These first two were my first two Haze placements:
The other patient that passed while we trudged through the court system was one of the original founders of this early online Medical Marijuana Forum.
The writer of this article from that forum is a great fellow, and has himself referred many patients that were in need.
Life begins today
Paying it Forward begins today....
...as though for the first time.
My mind is freed of the burdens that prevented my making copious posts, so I will be more present here than I have been for the past 465 days.
Heck.... we might even see a post or two from Patty, as we stretch and open our eyes, and awaken from the nightmare.
If you wish to start a private dialogue with me about Helping low-income, terminally ill Senior Citizens, please feel free to do so.
To be continued.....
