Wow they aren't even trying to hide their fakes. In fact they seem quite proud of them.

Whilst in the market for counterfeits why not pick up a fake volcano or eq? They pump them out too hahahaha

Of course they're proud of them. Their real market is the unscrupulous dealer who won't tell you that you're getting a counterfeit.

But wouldn't it be interesting if the knock-offs eliminated the temp-light issue.

They are not knock-offs, they are counterfeits. In other words, they are intended to fool people into thinking they're getting a genuine Pax. They aren't looking for ways to improve the Pax, they're trying to imitate them as closely as possible. There is no benefit to the fraudsters in fixing a design problem.

I don't know how many here have had to use their warranty, but I did for the first time last week. The seal between the oven and the bottom of the unit started working it's way out, so I contacted ploom through the chat on their website. I was informed that it was not a user serviceable problem and was instructed to return my device. Ploom provided me with pre-paid shipping label and told me that they would fix my device as quickly as possible. After a few days they contacted me and told me my Pax was not repairable and that they were shipping me a new unit. Within one week from me contacting them I had my brand new Pax in hand. I have to say that I am most impressed with their service and warranty.

I'm currently smoking weed in my Pax as if it were a pipe. Oven lid off, weed in chamber, and combustion. I had an oven full's worth and looking to stretch a few days from it. Anyone else use their pax like a pipe?

To each their own, but I would never do this. Ever. If I ever planned on combustion again, it definitely would not be through a Pax.

Has anyone sent their Pax in because the battery life has significantly dropped?? If so, did they switch out the battery? did they replace the whole pax? did they even take it in for repair?? I know they are suppose to be coming out with a battery replacement program but its been over a year... I had my Pax for a year and a few months, and the battery life is really low. I used to do 2 sessions and the battery life light still read green, now i do 2 session and they battery life turns red :( my pax is dieing

Why would you smoke out of vaporizer that cost 200 + dollars ?
Fire with that battery may not be a good idea if you don't want burnt hands and face, Very Dumb idea.

keeping a cherry going in the herb chamber is a whole lot more heat then its designed for.

I know a lot of people have continually talked about the added screen method so that the pax can be packed with less material, but in my experiences I have never found a need for that. It doesn't matter if I fill mine completely or hardly at all as long as I pack the material down tightly. Am I missing something here?

I got mine brand new for $44. I have spent more than that on a pipe with the intention of it breaking. The Pax held up like a champ and Vaped a nice bowl in the morning after the fact. Nothing melted or tasted funny, just smokey rips. It wasn't as efficient as a regular pipe but I didn't have one and rolling up a hotel bible isn't my first choice either. I was thinking about grabbing a can to smoke out of but got lazy and went for the Pax.

My main question is why not just use it as a vaporizer instead of using the Pax as a pipe? I can not believe that using the Pax as a combustion piece left no funky taste the next day when you used it as a vaporizer again. I caused the slightest bit of combustion in my Lotus last night and everything had to be cleaned because it tasted like shit afterwards. You purchased a brand new official Pax for $44? You buy expensive pipes while intent on breaking them? I'm completely confused, but if you're happy then I'm happy for you.

funny you should ask, havent been on in a while, just wanted to pop in to say their customer service is amazing still. I had to replace my pax as it was taking upwards of 7 hours to charge. This is the 4th (or 5th maybe, lost count ) pax I have replaced for battery issues. They were very cool about it, and FAST, I dropped it off monday morning and tuesday they had sent me an email saying they received my device. by Thursday they had sent me an email saying they were unable to repair my device and would be sending me a new one, along with some goodies for the trouble. It should be in my hands tomorrow. My pax was over a year old. As to what you are saying with the battery indicator, I honestly think theres a calibration issue, mine would go to red pretty fast as well but would last on red for an hour of use or more.

I wonder how much it costs to manufacture a pax. They are not shy about sending out new units for warrantys which is great

My Pax finally came in. I ordered a tin of Blend X with it to vape in my room or random other times and it was a very enjoyable experience. The Pax is worth every penny, especially with the 10 year warranty.

I've had my pax for about a year now, and have had no major problems. I just loaded the pax and turned it on, and as it was heating up, at a point I heard a sizzle for a couple seconds, and noticed smoke coming out of the top and a little from the bottom. It smelt odd and tasted like it wasn't coming from the flowers. This is my only piece for flowers and I'm out of oil, so I am without thc until I fix this, or know it's broken and need to invest in a different vape.

Edit: I just cleaned the pax, and the smell/taste still exists. Smells like it's coming from the bottom part of the unit.

What is pax's warranty like? Will this kind of problem be covered? Even if it is, how am I supposed to ship it if it has been used for a year?

The warranty is fantastic. Sounds like something that would be covered, but the only way to know is to get in touch.

When I had to send mine back, I got in touch through their website. They e-mailed me a prepaid shipping label. I sent it to them and had a Pax back in hand in a week. No hassles on either of the two warranty returns I've had.

Just clean it well before you ship it and you'll be fine. I don't remember hearing about anyone having a bad experience with their warranty service.
