Still infatuated with my gorgeous little Pax!!

Say, I've seen some conflicting info on cleaning the oven door. Is it ok to soak it in iso for a bit to clean it? I know it's ok to soak the mouthpiece, but not sure about the door...

NO. Do not soak oven door. It will full up with Iso. Just use USO on a qtip.

the oven door is filled with a white powder that acts as insulation.....so you don't want to soak it.

So no door soak. My batt mod works so well, made a 9v battery to charge cradle mod. It resets pax after low voltage condition occurs. So slide the guts out rip the flat batt, pop a charged batt. Slide shut, connect to 9v batt via cradle, plug in and unplug After light comes on. Boom full again.. Load the oven up and keep on walking. Goodnight y'all. Keep in pax and mflb comes to bed, pax on the bed side table all loaded with pipe tobacco for early rise instant nic delivery.

I just ordered the Onyx from Plume today. I have been following this thread for months but I better refresh and reread the last hundred pages at least especially the cleaning processes. I was hesitant due to the constant problems people have had but I figure I might as well just take a shot. Combustion and the smell sucks!

Very nice, I have been trying to get hold of a Mobius Matrix for quite a while now.
Can you post a closeup of your connection method, or explain what you used to
connect the PAX to your Matrix? Where did you get the components?
I am about to pull my PAX out of the drawer where it has been sitting for almost a month now,
specifically for this type of a project.

i used a piece of 1/2 inch i.d clear tubing from home depot . jamband gets all the credit, she has closeup pics a ways back. basically just cut a two inch piece and stretch the one end over the mouthpiece. its a pain in the ass to get it on, but it fits perfect. the other end slides into an 18mm female joint. its not perfectly airtight but i was thinking an o-ring on the tubing would fix that. other than that it hits like a boss, good luck on the moby,,,, i don't think there's one left on the planet.

Usually takes 10 days from USA to Canada. Processed by customs is a normal message. It will come

I had copied down Jam's specifications when they were posted.
I will take a look at Home Depot this weekend for a 1/2" OD 3/8" ID 1/16" Wall soft silicone tube.
I may have to settle for a ZOB bubbler in the mean time....
There is also a dual-male glass adapter at ALT since the ZOB has a female slide joint.
I am interested to see how the PAX works through a ZOB or MM bubbler.

They might hit you with fees at the border, but that's pretty much standard.

tubing can vary a bit in sizing, since the mouthpiece on the pax is tapered, you can use up to 3/4" but it won't fit in the smaller 14mm size connection, but if you are using 18mm it works just fine too, just fits further down on the mouthpiece.
