So im trying to get ahold of pax to get this new MP lube stuff and i went on ploom/support and it wont let me click the 'contact us' button.. does anyone have the ploom/support email that i can use to contact ploom to get some of this MP lube? thanks
Was there a charge for this, if so how much? Did you try it yet, assuming you have received it by nowThat's the big question right there. I just emailed Ploom CS and asked for some. They replied very quickly that they were sending some my way. Expecting it any day now.

Hmmm. Question for those of you with more experience with the Pax:
We've used it the last couple of nights. Packed it pretty good with stuff that hasn't been ground in a coffee grinder, just a simple hand grinder (i.e. not super fine, just run through a simple hand grinder.) Temp is set to the middle temp on the Pax.
My wife and I were using it and noticed a couple of things. One, it seemed the green light never went off - we handed it back and forth, but the purple light rarely came on. Secondly, it seems that it blackened the oven full of stuff pretty quick. I was surprised at how quickly it seemed that we were starting to get what looked and felt like smoke, and when I opened the Pax to stir after we each had taken a few hits, the contents were pretty close to black.
Is it possible that I'm doing something that causes it to overheat? We are taking small puffs....
The green light means it is at the selected temperature, and it will stay on as long as the battery has power and the Pax doesn't remain motionless for more than 20 seconds. This means the Pax is always cooking the load. That's why the flavour deteriorates and the ABV blackens so quickly.
Since you didn't mention the oven end getting too hot to handle, I'm pretty sure that your Pax isn't overheating. If you keep hitting it until it stops giving vapour, the Pax will turn the ABV nearly black even at the medium temperature setting. The taste is pretty foul by then, but some people either don't notice or don't care. It might be this taste that is reminding you of smoke.
Hmm, so that would indicate it would be best to take a hit and sit it down and let it cool a touch rather than hold it between hits. For some reason last night it seemed less effective: we did 3 ovens between my wife and I, but never felt really ripped at all, just a mellow mild buzz.
Try starting on yellow/low, you can hit as much as you want and the flavor just stays. Then move up to orange to finish it off. This way you extract 90% of the stuff when the vapor is tastey and you don't have to cook it so much at higher temps. I usually get chocolate brown abv rather than dark coffee brown when I do 75% on low and a couple hits on medium.

We'll try that. We definitely did not get as buzzed as I would have expected from 3 loads.
Also - I have some herb that is merely ground down via a handheld little common grinder (you know, the circular ones they give away, LOL!) and some that is finer, ground in a coffee grinder. Which is best for the Pax?

I got a package from ploom in my mailbox today! It was the lube, like 5 packs of it! But wait there's more..... There was also the deluxe cleaning kit, a new mouthpiece, stickers and magnets! I love this damn company!
They must like you a hell of a lot more than they like me. All I got were three packets of lube and two stickers, not even any explanation or instruction, just those five items tossed into an envelope. Oh well, no second Christmas for me, but at least I got the lube.
Pax is tha word.. It's my e cigar...it fill it full up, till it bursts then place a rectangular screen on top( cut to 80% of oven size) close the lid and on low it vapes so long before I go to high to nail it all. I also use tobacco herb sandwich lots to save herb, making it more like the electric joint now. Also run it on party mode to stop standby light. But batt saps fast... Will look at protected batts again... They have a Pcb on the neg end, like one module in my bms of my ebike battery... I build them see.. Pax has built in cutoff... Charge and discharge too... So dump that Pcb we then have tabs to solder to... The top of them 18650 cell has a double nipple so to speak. Un wrap the cell to expose all including a perfectly wrapped battery under all, it shortens the cell too... Will play fix lots of electronics see so I fear not trying this.. Mflb will rescue if I glitch... Then I'll just buy another to replace it... Spare parts then minus the Pcb...that's worst case. Solo will pacify... Pax would be missed and it takes time for it to come to ausI'm not sure if I mentioned this here, but I found a hidden vaporization store near where I live and they contain products like the volcano digit, the atmos raw, the cloud pen, WISPR, iolite, etc.
So one day I go in (beginning of dec) to get pipe cleaners. I told him he needs to check out the Pax. So I figured he wasn't going to listen to me but whatever. I went in today to get more pipe cleaners and buy a plain bowl for my friend who busts. He offers me polish or something I say no it's for a friend I'm into vaporization. He goes its the best. We got so many products now.
I say did you check out the Pax? He says hell yeah. You told me about it. It's the best, so small. I ordered 10 pieces and it was sold out quickly!!! He also had a sticker showing he's an authorized dealer for them now!! He was so pumped! :-)
Yes I feel great that I spread the Pax love :-) anyway just wanted to share this story :-)
