Pax-solo comparisons... ( love em both):
1. Taste... Solo wins definite... It just tasted better for longer on solo..
2. Preload... Pax wins here, the battery covers of mflb works on solo stem... Can be done
3. Load bowl/oven... Solo wins its quick and exact. Just put tube in to pre chopped and suck... Done.
4. Session times... Pax wins, it does not stop every 12 mins of run time.
5. Total run times. How many sessions... Solo wins its battery keeps going, I've never had it shut down during a session. Pax runs out faster but is sooo tiny too.. Thus closes this gap.. Hard to compare, like apples to pears.
6. Stealth... Pax is supreme, can get no visible vapor exhale and still be ripped or nicotined up. Used it in front of lady in bread shop she served me and knew nothing bout the mj vaping just 1/2meter away from her... Super stealth. Looks like I rub my nose and or mouth.
7. Abv after finish on high... Both compare so well here, solo does need a stir too... Volcano cannot get more out of abv like it can when I have abv from other vapes..
8. Heat time... Pax again 45 sec to high is awesome you can hit it gently during heat up and get real flavor..
9. Use methods of temp setting... Solo wins just adjust and keep going, no pulling apart first. I start on 4 on solo end on high... Start on yellow on pax ending too on high.
10. Stir points... Both same empty out into hand... Hot! Then crumble and re insert. Pax wins it does not burn to drop it into oven... Solo pipe burns u if u not blow bowl cool first... Clumsy looking.
They both perform similar they each have a place I never leave home with only one.. Then I'm covered for all eventualities... Pax does feel hotter faster but it's a vape... It must get hot... Since its small it feels hotter quicker... Great for winters IMHO, doubles as a hand warmer... Perfect grip size and it gets you ripped to boot... Heavenly. Arizer you are good... Ploom you also are good... Great products.. Worth the dollars. Every cent. So stealth is pax taste is solo and rest is a trade off..
Now for draw rate... Or resistance... I'm playing with that now... I actually increased resistance up top, in mp!! I used cotton ball, tiny and put it up mp tube to jam exit hole bit. It slows airflow out put and seems to allow oven to keep up. I suck air through it now not past it... But slowly... Very slow, makes things quiet no rushing air increases stealth in very quiet areas but puts out big clouds so down my shirt they go... When I exhale. Or I hold breath for as long as I can and exhale super slow like a diver coming up on an empty air tank... Little bubbles, slow steady exhale in this case. The only thing that can give us away is that the pax does have aroma of what's being vaped. Smell does leach out from our hand aw shucks. In short high resistance lowered hit learning curve to generate a gratifying cloud of exhaled vapor. Also noTed no vapor escaping from mp when it's not getting hit. I can see 20 hits per fill even more. This thing is good there too.. Resistance is king IMO for conducting vapes. Mflb has not enough resistance... IMHO. But it's hoses for courses here its up to you the users to decide what works best for y'all.
Also if I want to stop half way through, I turn off and keep inhaling as I increase airflow into oven by tilting oven cover over to a side, cools load fast. Now will play with screens next. Pax I love you, you put me on the mark every shot anywhere.
I thought I would just chime in here with a couple experiences as well. I find low to be perfect for single-person use, and I don't have to stir often at all. My typical method when vaping alone is top vape several hits on low until I am nice and toasty. I have been amazed at the quality hits I get on low. Once I deplete the vape on low, I stir and set to medium and get another several strong hits. Medium is not "hit or miss" for me at all. I get huge clouds on medium. Sometimes I will then stir and get a couple more hits on high, but they are so popcorny that I often don't bother with high at all.
If you aren't getting good hits on low or medium, I would suggest either your methods need tuning or the herbs don't have the trich production, which I have found can make a HUGE difference in hit quality. I will say that low seems to be much less effective when sharing the Pax with others. I can only assume this is because it doesn't get a chance to warm up sufficiently between hits. When I vape with others, I typically skip low altogether and just start on medium.
It's trichromatic quality that makes great vapor.. Filled with kief it's dynamite just like in a solo.. Killer and good pain relief too. My back felt like it was ten again... So nice
