Discontinued Pax Vaporizer by Ploom

Went to a friends house last night, turned green into black.. Combustion killed my lungs.. I was coughing for a very long time. Granted I was very high, but it was not fun.. I think I am going to stick to vaping for a while..

That being said, I finished my bong.. you can't see much as I sticker bombed it, but here it is.

Yea Lol. I put a green sticker on the battery cover for my phone. I have no idea on where to put the rest, but thanks for bringing it up. The sticker is a transparent peel off, only the ploom X shows with the logo.

I am in need one of those snazzy mouthpiece adapters with the tubing because I'll never make one myself. Anybody willing to barter? I got stickers.

You could put a magnet on it, but normally, I just pull the tube and put the mouthpiece back in it.

I like this because when you put the lid on, you can't even tell it is a bong. Also, I can leave water in it and so if people come up to me, it looks like a water bottle, feels like one too

It takes a bit to get used to.. I say that because when I hit it I have to tell myself that I am in a contest for the longest slowest inhale competition. This keeps the vapor cloud at the bottom and piling up. Then I pull the tube out of the Pax and clear it. While some would say that I need a carb on this, I disagree. I put enough holes in the "downstem" that when I pull the pax, I can clear the bottle. That being said, I had some really shitty green, so my results might be skewed.. I noticed that even on low I am getting nice clouds.. but on high, the clouds look like Jam did on her very nice glass piece.

PAX and I haven't gotten to know each other yet. Still waiting for the Smart Crusher that's still on the way from Amazon - my first vape and I wanna do it right from the start, ya know.

That first vape is awesome! You'll be able to savor the favors in your herb and won't be coughing your lungs up! And the Pax is a SWEET little vaporizer, I'm in love with it!

I like to think of vaping as similar to sipping a really nice wine!

Welcome! The Pax was my first vape, too. I knew from that first delicious hit from it that I would never go back to combustion. The high is so much better than with smoking. I've also found that I have to take fewer pills for my back pain since I started vaping, as well. The Pax opened a whole new wonderful world for me and I hope it does for you, too.

Since you said you were waiting on your grinder, I just thought I'd add my - I was using a regular aluminum grinder for my Pax until I got an electric coffee grinder - I find that it works so much better and faster than a regular grinder that I stopped using the manual one altogether. It simply grinds it to a better consistency for Pax use, imho. The kief collects in the bottom of the container and I just use a little brush I got with an electric razor to sweep it up.

I was almost going to go with the Davinci but with the issues I've read with gassing, I think i'll pass. So, I was wondering does anyone know where I can find one for under $250.00? I did about a week ago and didn't see much, but just checked and found something I'm interested in.

I have been happily using my Pax for a while now. Ironically the temp button has been stuck for the last month or so but it is on high so I have no need to change the temp. An essential kit that all pax owners should have is Zen Bristled pipe cleaners (http://www.amazon.com/Bundles-Pipe-Cleaners-Hard-Bristle/dp/B000W5R6UA). These pipe cleaners are perfect for cleaning the pax because the bristles scrape the gunk out. The next essential item is dentek easy brush cleaners (http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=317028&catid=183799&aid=338666&aparam=goobase_filler). They can be found at any department store. These allow you to thoroughly clean the spring area and inside of the mouthpiece. The last essential item is ISO. I always put ISO on the pipe cleaners and dentek brushes when i use them to clean.


I will be sending my pax back for a replacement over the holiday break to fix my stuck temp button issue.

I used it walking across campus one day at school.. in front of the 20000 students.. No one looked at me, but I was kinda being ballsy and cocky..

It definitely has a smell, which is especially apparent on high. On low, though, it is really not all that detectable. I wouldn't want to use it in a closed room unless some kind of odor (smoke, incense, candles, etc.) was around to provide cover, but in a crowded area, I don't think the smell is detectable enough to really notice. Besides, smells are really tough to pinpoint. Even if someone does detect an odor, their chances of finding the source are pretty slim if you're not obvious about it.

I went to a football game with my Pax, thinking I would use it during the game. I chickened out, but I used it in the restroom instead with no problem. I also used it walking up to the gate before the game without anyone even noticing what I was doing

Giants game 2 weeks ago. Full house. Our seats were low and right in front of some stairs, a tunnel, and a few stadium personnel. Me and my buddy went through a full oven right at our seats. Stirring, tamping, and passing it back and forth was no problem. If you used it in the smoking section you would be lost in the crowd.

The Pax is good to go for stealth missions.
