Higher, Higher, Baby...
For those who have returned to ploom for a replacement, what was the turnaround time like? I just dropped mine at the PO this morning.
I also would like to know the turnaround from postman to postman.

yeah thats how i got the plastic off. i wonder how long the inspection/replacement process isHave you tried warming it up like with a hair dryer or something? The most common reason for it to get stuck is resin getting all sticky and funking things up... Though in your case you may have a bigger problem. Worth a shot though.

There's lots of meals that taste better as leftovers. Stew and chili come to mind, as well as almost any tomato-based dish. It doesn't work in this case, however. As I explained, you're right that the load really isn't as fresh.
I feel like Kevin Spacey
This is why you need a backup, I recommend the MFLB.I just gave the taped up white box to the mailman. Its raining, soon to be snowing and I am now without a Pax. I feel empty inside.
LOL. I knew someone was going to say that! Any kind of noodles are usually better as leftovers I have found. But I was right! I just didn't know exactly why. Your description makes a lot of sense, though. I could logically determine why a conduction vape would not taste as well on a second round, but that makes sense why the same law would apply to a convection as well.
I feel kind of like Stan. I learned something today!

NOMAD
My take on them:
MFLB Pros: Small, great taste, efficient, cheap, works very well, cloud production is possible, low maintenance, batteries easily replaceable
MFLB Cons (at least to me): I found it was a bit harder to pull out of my pocket and use on the go. The whole act of sucking on the straw while holding down a battery made me feel awkward at times. By on the go I mean walking down the street, taking a break from work/class, etc.
--You may find the bowl a bit too small for your needs, depending on your tolerance.
PAX Pros--Sleek, big clouds possible, easy to conceal, sexy, decent amount of hits per bowl (I get around 20), easy to activate and take a big hit out of
PAX Cons: A little bit more maintenance involved, fussy, taste is not as nice as MFLB, expensive, battery not user replaceable, not as efficient as convection
I started with the MFLB and moved on to the PAX and love it, despite its flaws. MFLB is a nice backup to have, although the SOLO is a strong contender in my books if you want something for just around the house or to take to a buddies place.
This is only my personal opinion, but I would not recommend the MFLB as a backup to the Pax. The MFLB was my first vape, and I liked it well enough for awhile, but then I got an iolite and was astounded at how much better it produced. It made the MFLB look like a toy. Then I got a Zap (log vape) and continued to find out just how much better vaping can be. I now have a Pax and it is even better than the Iolite.
I have since tried the MFLB again, and it was VERY unsatisfying to me. Yes, the taste is better (not as good as in my log and just slightly better than the Iolite) but the hits are just not enough for me. I find now the MFLB just doesn't get me where I want to be. It's just too limited in how heavy a hit you can get, and I like heavy hits.
I know a lot of people still speak highly of the MFLB, and it still has its place. It does conserve very well, and it works. For me, though, it is just not strong enough after experiencing heavier hitters like the Iolite, the Pax, and my home vape.
Hi folks, loving my Pax, but sadly back to the Whisper/MFLB due to carelessness:
Returning from the US-wide T break we call Thanksgiving, I found my uncleaned Pax MP stick for the first time. Being unprepared, I let the MP up too fast and watched it pop off and bounce into an unreachable spot. Its funny that the feeling I got when I realized what had happened was more like the deep gut dread that precedes getting jumped than the appropriate annoyed and mad-at-myself emotion that eventually took over.
I stared at the yellow light for awhile realizing that I had no way of turning off the Pax for the ride home. Since all it was doing was displaying charge-level, I assumed that it would take forever for the battery to drain from powering the LED, but by the time I checked again (maybe 4 hours later) the Pax was off.
My question: have I damaged my Pax by allowing it to discharge fully, or does it have a shutoff timer when in the "MP removed" state?
Many thanks for any info.
