FC-UFOv2 arrived! Slightly different than my FC-UFOv1. The perc is smaller, more slits, slightly smaller base. I'll get pictures posted later today

Basically the same as the v1, slightly smaller base, perc is smaller (with possibly more slits? I'll need to count). I'll try to get some side-by-side pictures this weekend.

Overall, I've given up on Steven lol, Every piece I've had has had issues, 3 strikes, he's out for me.

I was going to smash my V1 to get a V2 from Steven... after your confirmation... not so sure I will do this now. I got lucky with my FC-187, and I guess I will deal with a functioning (non-wobbly) FC-UFO V1 albeit with stress cracks. Hope she lasts...

That sucks. What happened with this last piece? Wasn't it a replacement too?

Like most people here, I buy more glass than I need, I would have bought every new design that he has made but in my case it only took one, it was the FC-187, that piece was so poorly made that I can't risk buying from him anymore, specially when his prices are a little above everyone else. The new Torus look good but too risky at that new price.

Wings of Liberty has in my opinion the best quality I have seen from China, too bad he is not open to suggestions.

The V2 I have is better then the V1, but the base is still a little wobbly, and the perc is poorly cut. While it does fire slightly better than the V1, still only fires through about half the slits unless I pull hard enough to make my LSV whistle

Still, he's had 3 changes and the QC was sub-par on every one of them. I understand he's trying to make a profit, but damn three strikes, he's out for me.

Really hate sounding like some greedy person. I should be happy the piece for the price we paid. But I know there's better. And I have better quality pieces for the same price.

Don't beat yourself up. Your experience is unacceptable and you are entitled to your anger. Steven's quality control sucks, and not bitching about it will only lead to more failure. We NEED to get on him every time. We can only hope that will up his game...

Damn...

I have had one piece that had a pinhole leak and another that came smashed but since then no problems thankfully. I did have a CCG egg that came with closed slits which is almost useless though!

It's a rough game buying this China Glass!

Definitely, consistency should be improved though, he needs to step up...

Not greedy bro. You earned your money and I don't blame u for not wanting to waste it. Luckily I've had pretty decent pieces.

Just ordering 'singles' I am at 2/3 being OK

I just tossed the Torus (not the latest model - it seems like it might actually work, but from these horror stories I'm thinking twice on that)

I am liking the FC-710 just fine, and I'm liking the new Straight Fab just as much if not more

The fc710 has been so awesome, I'm super curious of this one. Saw a function vid and it seems to work the same

I have the new Torus coming in, after so many conversation with Steven on PM I am pretty happy with the changes I and others requested. Will upload a video, still hasn't shipped from China but the order do go out on Monday. Will upload a straight fab egg video in a few days, but from the initial video feedback I can see it's already a nice acquisition.

I would be down for a binary matrix copy. I just hope he doesn't copy that ugly joint support with the mobius logo on it.

I'd love to see him make a copy of this piece:

I don't think it would be too difficult for him considering he's already making pieces that incorporate the primary components of the Brandon P rig.

So Im all for copying a design, but why go to the extreme and make it a bootleg/counterfeit? Seems awfully silly when it works the same without someone else's logo.

On a side note I love these threads but Im pretty sure all the old fake pax threads were deleted. And if fuckcombustion doesn't condone counterfeiting... It does not seem prudent to mess up all this good discussion with bootlegging logo topics. But that's my :2c:
