Anything ordered for the next week or 2 isn't gonna ship out soon anyway, so if I were you I'd wait to see some reports on how the mini pillar functions before you jump on it.

I've got one on the way, managed to grab one before the cny shipping deadline :)

I'd also be a bit careful of the ys003, I still don't think Steven has produced a working prototype yet.
It doesn't seem that hard to just put some damn slits on the perc, but it hasn't happened yet :lol:

I'm sure he'll end up with a nicely functioning item once it's finalised, but that model has had some issues to date.

If you're into dabbing, imo you should strongly reconsider the fc710...
It's pretty awesome.

That's good advice, because even if it's cheap for what it is, at $88 it's still not "cheap".

I am seriously contemplating pulling the trigger on the FC-710.

I like the piece and it has served me well, but I have seen a lot of you raving about the FC-710.

I only smoke concentrates, so what do you guys think? Is it worth it for me to purchase it?

Or should I just stick with what I have for now?

Everything I've read on here is that the 710 is an awesome oil rig. That is why I ordered one. Coming up on 16 days since mine shipped. Probably halfway there. I'm guessing these are coming by boat? If so, I wonder if the dock strikes on the west coast are causing delays?

Actually no, they are coming by air, mostly EPacket (at least to the US). But they don't always ship out right away, or leave the China part of the trip right after getting shipped by the vendor. Sometimes something from a store like Sunshine will get to us in under 10 days, and other times it will take 30. Right now everything is delayed because of the Chinese New Year (CNY) and nothing will come quickly, but this may be the only thing we know for sure about china glass delivery. :)
Although some of the vendors GENERALLY take less time (like Sunshine), there are no guarantees and things like CNY effect everything coming from China.
That being said, anything that IS coming by boat is likely to be significantly delayed due to the strike. And most perishable things are spoiling on the dock if outbound and on the ships if inbound. It is a terribly sad circumstance and an incredible waste... :(
Not to even mention the workers who are out of work...

I did reconsider it and ordered an fc710... now awaiting further review of the pillar and others!

What is the status on the Klein incycler and torus knockoff piece. Is he getting the function figured out? waiting to order those ones. They look really well made and sturdy, just need the function to be better.

Would also like one of those Faberege eggs, like everyone else, any status update on those.

would rather not order from Thickassglass

Been three weeks since I ordered the 710.. still hasnt moved. The Dcycler I ordered 10 days later is already in the states.

It looks like wherever the 710s are produced is just about on the other side of the country than Bejing. I wonder how that impacts shipping.

Mine is listed as clearing customs in Chengdu. Seems weird to clear customs in the middle of the country unless they leave the country from an airport in Chengdu. My last update said "2015-02-07 05:04:13 CHENGDU Despatch from Sorting Center". This was just after the cleared customs update.

You can also put the number into the USPS website to track. Although they aren't much help until the packet is in their hands. Mine currently says "Acceptance" on 2/5 and "Processed Through Sort Facility - CHENGDU EMS, CHINA" on 2/7. The usps site is nice though as you can setup text and email alerts. Although now anytime I get a text I get excited for an update only to see it was one of my friends texting, bastards.

I ordered on the FC710 1/09

-shipping notice on the 15th

-started tracking on the 18th

-Left China on the 19th

-hit the USA on the 23rd

-Arrived on the 26th

I've come to the conclusion that shipping times seem to vary, and IMO it's part of the gamble.

Hopefully y'all see some movement soon though!

I just discovered this thread and this piece has gotten me super excited. I am a little confused to how the process works. How do you get in on the pre-orders and how do you know when a piece like this is available? This piece looks like it would have a lot of diffusion which I need for those higher temp vape hits and it looks like it has a lot of water in it as well. This is perfect for me as I keep my pieces in a fridge so they are always cold so more water and more diffusion gives me a cooler hit.

Also, are you working with this guy on his prototype to improve it?

My Mobius 60b was my fav piece until I broke it :( I always wanted a recycler. This just seems perfect :)

Just follow this thread and the more busy Cheap Glass thread to keep up to date on things. @blankrider has been working with Steven to fix the piece but it's Chinese New Year so there haven't been any updates for a while.

Thanks for the quick update. I am following both threads now and am all caught up in this thread and the last 30 pages of posts in the cheap glass bubbler thread. I am really eager for that 242 piece once it is perfected. Hell... I might even risk it and buy it once it becomes available.

This is slightly off topic but does anyone know how you search the thread for "fc-187" or "fc-242"? Every time I do I get "The search could not be completed because the search keywords were too short, too long, or too common." If I search for fc242 then it works but hardly any posts that reference fc242. This has happened to me before and makes finding information difficult. Sometimes I just go to Google.com and search only the fc domain but that is inconvenient.

You have to use scroogle or something and do the domain search for any terms less than 4 characters, the forum software just wont do it. My search terms would look something like this - site: fuckcombustion.com/threads/cheap-high-quality-bubbler fc-187 - to do a thread search. You could also try an image search, I use it sometimes to find quality review posts and searching pics can be much faster than sorting through text results.

Any reviews on the mini pillars yet ? Hoping to hear good things ! Seeing all these great deals makes me anxious but I know there has been some skepticism so I dont want to rush.

My FC-711 / Mini-Pillar has arrived! Looks perfect aside from some bubbles in the joint support. I'm using mine for dabbing only and I think it's going to serve that purpose well.

After only using the FC-710 and D-Cycler for the last few weeks, hitting the mini-pillar feels a lot more airy which is a nice change. When you pull on it, the water is sucked up the tubes and diffuses as large bubbles in the top part, I can pull as hard as possible and get no splashback in the mouthpiece. Flavor seems good from the 2 hits I've taken so far, will have to do more testing after work. I can feel a bit of chug but it's more like a light rumble which I actually kind of like.
