Thanks for elaborating OF, I was kinda busy. Glad you fixed it Dallas. BTW, the weight of the carts vary a bit. 7.48-8.2 or so.
Yes, at the top, under the mouthpiece completely.
I found that if I load the oil correctly I seldom, if ever, have to melt one down after it gets going. The 'trick' is to be sure the tube is good and warm under the funnel so the load drops straight to the bottom in one go with no gaps. If you do it 'right' you feel the heat at the bottom rapidly rise when the hot concentrated drops down in a single mass.
In the rare case where it does stall out with more than say 150 mg left from dry weight and I elect to try melting it down I simply cut the label off. It's easy to print another and also possible to reuse the same one with another layer of tape.
Doing it at the top also means you can read the label when on a V1.
Yes, quite normal. You're no doubt pushing the battery out of contact.

Yea, that is what was basically happening, just expected it be more like the Tenergy charger where they sort of get locked into place.
Will the light stay green or still flash red ever so often when fully charged?
Thanks
my question is if you can eventually overcome that problem.

Sadly I think the answer is no. Even if you drain the cart you have as much as .2g of old "smelly" oil left in it to contaminate any new additions. The taste just seems to linger in my experience. And, of course, the reclaimed oil will still retain some of that taste even used in another device.
I've been testing some of the pre-oxidized 4.o carts and the taste issue is almost gone. So you definitely should pre-oxidize any and all new carts before loading. And then I'd only load in at most .5 to begin with. Most likely you'll be able to add more and keep using the cart as you consume what you've already put in...assuming the taste is ok.
Word is that a generation of leak-less and clog-less carts in in the offing. In the meantime pre-oxidize and load less than the max.
And don't forget the learning curve.
Tomorrow is our local farmers market and one of the vendors has pre-filled carts available so I'm not down and out.
Please let me change the subject just a bit for a moment and get back to a topic a while back, how to carry loose carts. After some more fiddling around I'd like to recommend 'Doob Tubes' for your consideration. I bought a few from Harborside to try out and they work fantastically for the job. They have two tight fitting seals (one backing up the other), yet are very easy to open. Definitely gas tight (no smell or drying out), hold the assembled cart with cap and if necessary adapter. I add a tuft of cotton to the bottom so the carts don't rattle around and to catch any drips that might happen. They're about 5/8 inch in diameter (just fits the soft mouthpiece inside and about 4 inches long, just long enough for half an inch or so of pad at the bottom.
Anyway, lots of head shops stock them. Often custom printed. You can order them straight from the maker (all USA, BTW) with your state's '4:20 Law' printed on it for a dollar or so each:

These guys are recommended, even if we're not likely to use them for their original intended use....close, but we're not blazing anything here.....

Man, I've never heard of a farmers' market that sells carts of hash oils.
Hi OF,
Perfect timing, look what we just posted in our retailer thread:

P.V.
been up for a few days. still can't add to cart, thoSo I see the V2 HVD upgrade is up on the website. Now we just need an FC code to the let the ordering begin....
My O-PHOS upgrades and repaired V2 arrived today as well....

In all fairness, the 20% left is probably black and nasty, kinda like the end of a dabber. To me, this is the one biggest downfalls of the V1 carts.
So I went to charge my v1 this morning and I saw that there was some oil on the charger right in the middle also on the bottom of the from the middle. Also I've been noticing I have to prime it every time and for a good amount of time cause I don't feel any air flow. I saw someone wrote to unclog take a needle with alcohol and run it down the hole I did that and noticed resistance so there was some oil in there and it loosened up. So I charged my battery then tried it out. Still needed to prime but was hitting a lot better. I just went to check it out a few hours later and checked the charger and some more oil has leaked out cleaned it up then hit it and took some time to prime but hit awesome. Why is it all of a sudden leaking out the bottom? Is there something I can do to fix this or will I just need a new cart? I am for sure going to use a new cart next time I fill but I'm pretty sure I have a good amount of oil left and want to use it/salvage it. Also I'm trying to keep the cart separate from the batteries after use, would rather lose oil then ruin the battery.
Also these are 1.5 carts
And sorry if this may sound repetitive
It's repetitive, we've been through it dozens of times (literally) on this thread. You'll no doubt find better, more complete advice by researching some but here's a few high points.
BTW, I'm the 'needle in ISO' guy from a day or so back.
Thin oils are harder to deal with than thick. Consider this when selecting loads. Being sure it's dead cold before setting it down helps, keep pulling cold air thorough it until then. Oil along the flue tends to flow down to make the plug (the less common one is below where yours is). Use the needle or wire to remove as much as you can (wipe it off between trips in). If you can get most of it out it probably will be OK next time. After you wipe as much out as the wire or needle will collect (I use the eye of the needle to collect oil) consider the paper towel trick. Cut a 1/4 inch wide (or so) strip from dual ply towel maybe two inches long. Fold it in half lengthwise and twist it into a skinny 'rope'. Thread this up the hole (use one ply only for the smaller bottom hole), twisting as you go, to sop up the oil and pull it out. Consider setting it on it's side for a while (remember the oil might try to drain out).
I like PG (as most guys do), but it's real thin and a problem often. Sometimes, if I'm having troubles, I'll unscrew the cart after a session and set it on a patch or paper towel in case it leaks. This keeps the oil out of the vape and charger which is very important. Keep it clean down there, never screw a cart with oil on it into the charger, it's known to stick to the center pin and pull it out.
Good luck, it can be beat. Play with it some. And like I said folks have explained this a lot on this thread so there's lots of good information on the topic. I'm sure a search on 'leaking' will amuse you for some time?

The hints and tricks you said explained a lot and helped a lot I appreciate it
I've heard of it, I think you knock 3 times and say "Joe sent me".....

Alright, so, my problem isn't solved at all. This thing literally EATS up anything that is put into it. That 0.75 g's I put in it yesterday? GONE. That's right, GONE.
Needless to say, I'm fucking pissed with the amount of money that I've spent on this thing that I don't want a new cartridge at all. Given my experience and others that I've read, this thing is definitely still a work in progress.
Not to mention the so called "white-caps" that were supposed to come with the product wasn't there at all.
