Discontinued Omicron Vaporizer for oils

I haven't tried an omicron light (i was asking about it some more last page) but it's pretty much the same thing with USB pass thru charging IIRC.

You know if you want something small you could run a Persei with the extra short tube in the super stealth kit. I doubt its as stealthy as this, but I haven't had the opportunity to use either the ophos or the omi light yet

quick question ;
what do you mean by " USB pass thru charging " ?
Does that mean you can use it " while " it's charging up ? like the NO2 .

I believe once it has enough of a charge, like 20%, you can use it while it charges. But I dont know how well it will charge if it is in constant use.

Hello FC community!
Has anybody tried the Omicron light? I own all of thermovapes products(T1, Rev. Dart, CERA). While I am not looking for a replacement because I am very happy...I would like to diversify my collection. I had my heart set on a persei but I am really looking for something smaller, stealthier. Upon placing my order for the Ophos I was notified that it has been replaced by the Omicron Light. If anyone has any experience here I would love your input. Thanks in advance.

Have you tried a BENDER?

Have you had any experience with Omicron carts? If you enjoy them, then I would get the Omicron light. I personally prefer the Dart/Rev much more due to the simplicity and taste. Why not just get a small standard 510 e-cig battery and use the Dart if you're aiming for portability?

Ophos was discontinued and replaced by the omicron light and I think you will be very happy. You can get 1.5 or 2.4ohm cartridges for it but I suggest you start with 2.4ohm until you get experienced with it enough. Check out the vaporpedia site for more info on the cartridges and more. If you have any other questions feel free to ask, I love all of my D9V products!

I own an Omicron v2 and HVD. I'm quite confused at why the prices are so high for the battery. The filling tool is $8 and cart is $10. With an m-601 to 510 adapter($5), I can purchase a variable voltage e-cig battery with way better battery life than the v2 for about $40.

Am I missing something with the amps or something electrical that the Omicron does better? It's cool having the the form factor of it but variable voltage helps me control the carts by lowering it or raising it for bigger hits rather than buying separate carts.

I guess you lost me somewhere, I've got lots of e-cig batteries, many VV, but I don't have any with the capabilities of Omicron to drive heavy loads or work at higher voltages. Very few of them have better battery life (they are much bigger), the only one I have that uses the same battery as Omicron is OK but doesn't really beat Omicron where it shines and gets less useful hits from a charge.

Can you please provide a link to this superior battery, I think I'd like to check it out?

TIA

So I bought an Omicron V2.. it worked for a couple days (by worked i mean slight clouds, not working 100% i dont think)... then it stopped working.. it looks functional with no cart attached, blue light is steady, but as soon as i screw on a cart the light flashes as if the batteries are dead, but when i plug in the charger the light is green indicating the batteries are charged....

so i called the customer service line at delta9vapes.com and he sounded sure that it was a defective cart.. so i bought the 5 pack for 50 bucks because just buying one came out to over 20 dollars including S&H and i figured once it works i would want extra carts..

But this was not the solution.. so now I'm about $200 out-of-pocket, not including medication wasted on the first cart... I REALLY HOPE THE OMICRON GUYS SEE THIS AND MAKE IT RIGHT... i dont know if its a defective top or defective batteries... I'm not broke but i never would of purchased an omicron if I knew i was gonna spend 200 bucks and still not have a functional vape... i would like to be sure of the problem before spending more money, very disappointed :ugh:

It's green right away? I don't use that charger, but all the ones I do go to red (or whatever) for at least a few seconds......

What do you think of the idea the battery really is dead and either can't be charged or the charger isn't doing it???

I assume you don't have a spare battery?

Well it came with 2, i have the same issue with both of them, yes it turns green right away..

i dont think i even used it enough before it stopped working to deplete one battery..

maybe its the charger or battery?? or a defective top, how can i find out....

I ran into the non-charge issue a few days ago when I let my 18650s (shorty 3.7v batteries from the Persei) die almost completely. It seems the voltage left wasn't enough to "trip" the charger to realizing there was a battery present. I had to stick another battery alongside one of the 18650s to get it to start to charge, then replaced it with the other 18650 and was good to go..

--

On another note - bring from the Persei thread -

I moved along to the Persei a while back, noting how much better it was working at 3.7v as well, then seeing the whole thing with the 14500 batteries and the Omi 2.0 current-limited tops.

If I go for the 14500 retro-fit kit, can I still get the top switched out with a V2.5?

Also, do we have actual pictures of the 2.0 vs 2.5 tops? I was fairly confident I have a 2.0 top, but from the description it could be a 2.5 top as well (as it was originally purchased around the time of transition).

--

And a third note (since double-posting is evil) - looking at getting a Nibbler-X and wondering how it could be worked if I wanted to e-cig it up a bit as well. I don't think I've EVER heard anyone talk about these: http://www.delta9vapes.com/products.php?product=Quad-Coil-Cartomizer-3.0ohm-

Looks like an e-juice equivalent - does it fit the Nibbler-X the same as a 'regular' cart? See where I'm going with this? I wanna get my coworkers used to the fact I'm using a perc right in front of them.. lol!

This on a HVD Omi kit plus a Nibbler-X would be pretty sexy, imo!

I'm at kind of a loss about what to suggest, as I said I have no experience with that charger. I think the chances of two dud batteries at the same time is very low, I'm leaning toward charger. Not having a meter or other way to test makes it hard.....

Perhaps someone with some experience with the charger has some insight? Otherwise, you might end up sending the lot back if you can't locate another owner to swap parts around with?

I like innokin iTaste products. I have the MVP and my friend has the VV. They both go up to 5V with 3 Amp limit and pass through. Both fit easily in my pocket. It's also nice to have the MVP to charge my phone whenever an emergency situation happens. I got the MVP for $60 at a local e-cig store. The VV also seems a bit shorter and thinner than the V2. Have not put them next to each other so I'm not sure.

Thanks very much. While the first does carry more battery than Omicron, it's still not up to the voltage or current Omicron is capable of and it's a monster by comparison (not a 'pen vape' by any stretch). The other shares those two shortcomings (only I suspect even more so?) and given it's up converter I seriously doubt it has the same lifespan.

So, while I can see how some guys might prefer one of those two, I can see several clear areas where Omicron would appeal to guys looking for other things. In short I think there is, as you suspected, "something with the amps or something electrical that the Omicron does better". Fortunately, guys can choose what suits their needs most.

Thanks again for the links.

No problem. I took some pictures for comparison. The iTaste MVP below has the first generation revolution and the Omicron is fitted with the HVD top. I'd say it is pretty portable considering the capacity and features.

Thinking back, it was awesome using a 1.5 cart with the MVP and pushing around 3.5V. (4.2V with 1.5 carts was way too heavy in my taste.) I've abused it by multiple long revolution sessions and it still hits like a champ. The Revolution with an m601 adapter actually fried my V2 HVD before, but that may have been due to firing it at 4.2V instead of the recommended 3.7?

the Omicron V2.5 and the new HVD tops have beefed up internals, we have seen many people use the low 1 ohm Revs and this is why we upgraded the electronics. It is a tank now.

Also pass through system called The Core is now finalized and the final production piece is being assembled. Then production starts once that is inspected.

If I recall, the rev is 1.5 ohm? Any word on pricing for the pass through system?

Hey folks, haven't posted in a while, and being stuck on iPhone, with the mobile version, I'm having a had time searching..I need some advice

Looking to starting vaping some ejuice. Not sure what is the best budget friendly setup for my omicron.

Will only cartomizers work, or can I use a clearomizer? Sorry very new to all this. I'm looking to get an 510 adaptor and a vivi nova clearomizer.

Or if delta9's storefront carries the ce4 cartomizers and adapters I may drive up there in person lol.

Basically I've figured out i need the 510 adaptor, but can't decide on clearomizers or cartomizers.

I personally tried all the different ohm carts and my fav are still the 2.4 and then 1.5. I turned a few friends onto the oils, and we were using the 1.5 and wanted to start with that, but I insisted they try both carts side by side, and they enjoyed the 2.4 the most.

I also want to stress that you can get bigger clouds by your draw technique, You want a very slow and subtle draw. After getting back to vaping even my technique wasn't as great as before. So what's the best way to acquire a nice hit and bigger clouds?

TRAINING TOOBS!
image.jpg

This is the best way for beginners to learn how to perfect your draw technique as well as pros ( I've had a omicron since version 1 and still use my training Toob to this day) The reason being is you can see the vapor in the tube when your drawing in and can fine tune it to get much better vape hits.

In the pic is a MFLB glass tube on a silicon cartridge tip, if you wanted to make your own, you just need to cut off the tip of the silicon cap a little for it to fit.

OF also made some acrylic training tubes he gave me as well if anyone would like one. They are twice the size as in the picture, so you can cut/saw then in 2 so you have a backup. They are for free, but you gotta pay for shipping, which is a cost of a stamp I think I will weigh the Toob and package. If its more than a stamp, then I guess I will have to cut them in half. I'll do that tomorrow. If anyone is interested and would like one for free send me a message in case I miss it in the forums.

All I'm trying to do is showing you the best way IMO to learn how to get the vape hits you want. Good luck!

The ce4 cartomizer I got on D9V works great as well as the ego-w. also the brushed stainless steel tank looks awesome and will last a long time. I'm going to pick that up next cause it looks like it will rock even more than the cartomizers

I love the noob toobs!

I was doing something similar with the stock EQ whip hosing, but only when hooked up to a bubbler - makes it sooo much easier to milk the thing.

Also noticed when I moved to a silicone-based tube that wasn't transparent, I quit using carts in that setup.
