Discontinued Omicron Vaporizer for oils

So from my experience and from what I have read. The old V1 Omicron's work way better and are more reliable in big cloud production than both the V2 and V2.5. Also It appears that the O-PHOS is nothing more than a rebranded V1 Omicron.

Can anyone (Lookin at you G) confirm if the O-PHOS is just a renamed V1. And if so can any users compare cloud production on the O-PHOS versus the new 2.5's (Purple Omicron)

Musicalfungus,
Vitolo. Would you agree that the o-phos work better then a v2 or 2.5? As far as cloud production and reliability. V2.5s seem to work great for the first few hits on a new battery. Then the hits get thin and they are not steady or reliable

The v2 with the HVD head works as well as the v1 and if you use IMR 14500 batts it out performs the V1 for the first series of hits then performs the same. The 3 v2.5 heads I have sit in storage since IMO they still restrict power and just don't perform, better then the v2 but not by much. IMO I would buy the Ophos over a V2.5 and if you want the accesories and 3.7v-7.4v get a Persai. Even though adding the HVD top on does give you a mini vape and 7.4v use the 14250 batteries fade quick, I started with 8 14250 batts and I am down to 4 in a few months and I have a wf188 charger.

Both the v1 and the v2 with the HVD top do exactly what I want them to do, be a reliable stealth vape for when I am out and about, if I am home I will dab.

From what I have at my disposal, and in my experience to date, I would tend to agree... with the understanding that as soon as I make a generalization, the next cart I have loaded will likely amaze me and prove me a liar!

What makes the 14500 batteries perform better than the stock ones? Not sure I get that one, to be honest. But I am all for it. Got them on order anyways.

They are just better batteries. AW is a better brand and don't make 14650

The specific specification most important to us, low internal resistance, is best for that particular make and model. Note the same maker's 2000 mAh version is not quite as good. This feature is traded off against the others.

Low internal resistance means low 'sag' and therefore maximum power out under load.

It's also worth noting AW is not really a maker, but a broker as I understand it.

I have an O-Phos for travel and was thinking of picking up an Omicron v2 or Persei for at home use. I want to be able to exchange cartridges. Which do you guys suggest?

Hey guys,

I'm trying to perfect my fill method and am weighing my carts and extract before i fill. I seem to be losing .2 per fill. I'm not overheating the carts (i see no smoke coming out of the cartridge when i fill. is this just the nature of the beast? Should I assume that i'm always gonna lose some amount because i'm heating the extract? Thanks in advance for any help and / or suggestions.

It's not so much lost as stuck inside. Like the last half gallon in your car gas tank. It's stuck to the walls and soaked into the wicks.

You 'get it back' on the next fill. That is you put .5 grams in a new cart and get .3 out as vapor. Then, putting another .5 in (now .7 total inside) and get .5 out again before refilling again.

Thanks for your quick response OF! I totally get what you're saying, but i think i didn't explain myself well enough. I mean that i weigh .6 of extract in a cart that weighs 7.5 empty. After filling i'm left with 7.9, meaning i lost .2 somewhere in the process. I was wondering if this is normal?

You're welcome. No, that is not normal. I typically see about .050 difference between what leaves the vial and what shows up in the cart, sometimes more, sometimes less, a product of material left in the loading tool.

If this is a first use, suspect the tool? But 200mg is a huge amount of vapor. It did not go 'up in smoke'.....
