Discontinued Omicron Vaporizer for oils

I am also making EC extracted reclaim oil, and can test. I was planning to do the frozen/filter (winterizing) process, but now I'm wondering if maybe I should skip that step, and filter at regular temps to see if I get a more cooperative reclaim oil.

First of all, bummer. Evil, self serving POS lowlife SOBs no doubt caused a bunch of damage to your ride on the off chance of getting some 'easy money' from your efforts. Have I made it clear enough who I think has the white hats here? Very sorry for your loss.
Just an optimistic thought, but often such victims of society dump non money items close by (along with your clothes no doubt), did you look carefully in the area. Years ago, some stuff taken from my car in Oakland ended up in the bushes down the street, the cops brought it back the next day in fact!
It seems to me like you're short a long tube and the original end cap once the upgrade gets here, perhaps a PM to G and the guys might result in their finding some used or cosmetic rejects they could make you an attractive one time off the record offer on?

Yes, after the slots I've used them several times. I actually have 3 more or less permantly attached to power supplies so Omicron carts can go on my VV supplies (nice feature sometimes IMO) and sometimes on the smallest TV supply (10440 based) which makes a very neat compact carry rig with an Omicron cart.
With the notches no further problems anywhere.

KK, I'll try the blow dryer method for 5 minutes and report back! I tried to heat up the sides with butane torch (just top half) to no avail so I'll try this. To be continued....

was this oil originally extracted via EC? If so, it is reaching the point of diminishing returns so yeh skip the winterizing.
btw, if people didn't know what the "Training Wheels" are for it's for people to train their draw (suction rate) of inhaling. This way you can see the vapor, and now how soft/hard you have to suck.
just hit me up with a SESA

So I tried the Blow Dryer Method to get this EC oil or QWET oil, to soak the wick. and after 5 minutes, it worked on my V2 omicron, I don't see a glow. but when I attach it to my persei via 3.7 volt, I see a bright red glow still, and when I seen it I let go the button. I did it again and when I seen red glow a let go of button. The 3rd time I press the button though, it didn't glow, so at least it is hitting the wick now! (btw I also drawed in from bottom of cart while heating up the top like a pipe as well before doing this, but I still got a glow.)
This method seems to work folks, so if you are having these issues, try and do this! I'm charging up my other 3.7v battery on my V2, to make sure I don't see a red glow, and it's not just that my battery is about dead. ( very hard to tell if batteries are dead on V2, compared to persei, since the led doesn't dim when almost out of juice)
any tips on knowing how long these CLIMR 14650 3.7v batteries last? I swear my batteries aren't lasting more than 15-20 minutes max. So hard to tell though. also what happened to the cartridge tester/voltage box?

Let me know how it hits on a full charge and if you have any more issues on the leaking.

Will do G, I hopefully won't have any leaks with this oil since it's a different solvent extraction, but i'll report back when batteries are charged.

UPDATE: I hooked up a fully charged battery, and I see a red glow on the V2 Omicron still. But all is not a loss, because I just press the button down for a second or two, about 2 or 3 times, and then the glow is gone and wick is soaked. but I have to keep priming it like this before I get a vapor cloud, but all is well i'm glad it's finally touching the wick! Awesome sauce!

It totally got the wax to flow, but it flowed just a bit too well. 0.2 or so came out of the bottom air-hole lol. Cart still wasn't too hot to touch. Wouldn't say over 125~130º.
I'd say only do two minutes of heat at a time, then test the cart.. 5 minutes was just a bit too long for me
Should I trash this cart? Already reclaimed the rest of the wax.

clean the clog out with a paper clip or a Vitolo tool and keep using it. you'll be surprised how tough these carts are. That concern in general was my biggest problem when getting started with the omicron. Once I got past that fear I had a lot more success and a lot of help from DubC. I think then I have spread the love DubC gave me to plenty of other local patients here.
What he probably means by .4 at a time is thinner oils can leak easily and loading less concentrate at a time can help. I only find this technique necessary on the thinnest oils. Check the omicron link out in my Sig for cool stuff like how to make a Vitolo tool (works better than paperclip but paperclips work well)

I appreciate the tips, but I don't have a clog. The cart that leaked is clean now... I had assumed that it would leak again if I refilled it.... it didn't leak prior to the blow-drying heat up.. and I have other functional carts. If this one is going to be a problem I don't want to use it.
If it's not a broken seal then I'll just stop using this type of concentrate and refill lol.
Just bot the omincron for $130 from 1944 ocean. Also the pure gold .5g for $40. This device rocks. I got toasted with just a few hit.
And it has no smell. But the .5g only lasted about 50 hits? Each hit took about 7 to 10 seconds of shallow inhales. Not sure if it's because of thin oil. Kinda disappointed to get only ~ 50 hits, will try other concentrate. Any recommendation?
Also was having problem charging the batteries, took it back and they replaced both batteries.
Now I can hit this thing in the mall while wife goes shopping. Thanks omincron, man's best friend :-)

Thanks for welcoming me to the board. Yeah although it was a bit uncomfortable it really made me further investigate the differences between these devices when I got home and helped me settle on what I think will work out the best for my needs. I look forward to hearing the feedback from my father as well, and while he doesnt have an account here I'm sure I'll be relaying his review of the device here from time to time.

Im hoping for 2 or 3 days on the shipping. Although Im not sure as USPS priority shipping was the only option.

grabbing a couple more 2.4's and then maybe a couple 1.5's to see what those are all about. And in all honesty I'm thinking about scooping up this HVD upgrade after I read some real reviews about it.

In order for the Omicron to be an adequate vapor tool, the carts need to be revised so as to be spill-free and clog-free. No more Omicron for me until new carts come out. I lost too much oil and wax.

I just got the Omicron V2 and it's pretty sick. I have the 2.4 carts but they don't give off much smoke like on the videos you see on youtube. 3 people used it and we took a few hits each and it seems to not give a lot of smoke off after you hit it a few times. How long should I let it cool down for between hits?

Greetings inhabitants of Omicron Persei 8! I have finally decided to stop lurking and join the conversation. I received a double pen Omi v1 set for Christmas last year (yup, I was Good). Wasn't sure what to make of it until I came here to FC to get the scoop. I gotta say I have had some trials and tribulations, but all the advice here has really helped, so thanks to all the regulars that show up here everyday. I have learned a lot over 5 months, a dozen carts and 6358 forum posts! I just ordered my Omi v2 and the 7.4 upgrade to go with it.
I decided to fuck combustion 2 years ago, and I have been on a quest for something that really fit my needs in a vape. Small and discrete is very important to me, as is quick and effective application of medication. I own an iolite, vapor genie, and mflb, but none have really worked for me. The iolite (and VG) is not very incognito, and took 30 minutes to get me medicated which is too long for my schedule. The mflb is nice and small, and I will still use it (until it gets replaced with a Universe), but the effect I get is not strong enough from that device and sometimes I still burn in it. The Omicron has proven to fulfill both requirements so much so that I finally have been combustion free for 5 months (do I get a coin or something).
Lastly, want to say thanks to Gary (or G-Honey as I call him inside my head (because he helps bring on the honey oil and not in a bro-mancey kind of way)). You have changed my life for the better in a big way. As a small business owner myself, I can say that your devotion to customer service and your drive to innovate set a great example. Your involvement in this forum (where exactly do you keep your time machine?) and the way you are always willing to go above and beyond the call of duty are amazing. Keep up the good work, and yes, I do get the feeling my wallet is going to hate you all too soon!

I would hit it for 15-20 seconds or until you're satisfied. Let it cool down about 20 sec.

I would "Micro hit" ala mflb to get bigger hits off the 2.4 carts. Depending on the viscosity of your extract, you should hold the button down for a few sec before you even start drawing.
The clog proof and leak proof carts are on the way. Once we test them out we will see whats going on.

I have been drying my carts all day today, after the Iso soak. I blew the excess liquid out, then set them upside down on a paper towel for a while. Then I took the hair drier, on a low heat and ran it, blowing into the open end for about 5 or so minutes, and they have been sitting upside down most of the afternoon. I just did a dry burn test, pulsing the power on for a second, then off again, just quick enough to light up the coil, a few times over until I was sure they are firing up. So far all seems to be going well. All 3 fired up, so tomorrow I will load one, and see how it goes. I was very gentle and careful not to run the coil for more than a second or two at a time.
Unfortunately, I tainted my reclaim oil with some funky tasting oil, I forgot about, when I decided to add some of my qwiso stash into the EC reclaim, I forgot one of the containers had that funky tasting oil in it, and now all my reclaim has that funky taste.
It is sort of sweet, licorice, herbal smell, that over powers the good cannabis smell. booooo!! Oh well, time to get more EC and run that trim I've been keeping in the freezer.
