Hey Mr Ben!

Sorry to hear that you're stressing and frustrated....two emotions that appear every now and then with a perfectionist. Please know that the majority of us are just excited to support a passionate individual! We know that you're going to deliver an amazing product, no matter the number of days or revisions.

I think we're happy to wait as long as necessary as the more time goes by, the better it's going to be! If you need to eliminate the thread holes (something that I think ony a few of us would use in the future) to make your life easier and assembly streamlined....do it!

The future proofing is a great concept...but only if we get there. Thank you so much for your pursuit of perfection and I'm very happy to support you....then along comes the world's best grinder as a bonus!

Take your time, breathe and have a awesome week. Thank you

Hello Everyone,

I figured its time for an update on the XL's

I have been having a rough time lately with the 2mm magnets that hold the cap in place. They’re so small that even minor variations in size have been a nightmare. I’ve had multiple magnets shatter while trying to press them in, they just disintegrating under pressure, rendering the part useless.

After a lot of trial and error (and a fair bit of swearing), I’ve had to change tactics. I’m now slightly opening up the hole and epoxying the magnets instead. It’s not what I planned, I am somewhat concerned a submerge in a iso bath could weaken the glue, but it works and keeps orders flowing out without risking breakage of the magnets.

Unfortunately, this has resulted in about two weeks of delays and a good chunk of my sanity. The gluing has added significant work to the already 4 hours of work in each XL.

I just wanted to keep everyone in the loop. I refuse to send out parts that aren't up to my standard. I will happily refund before i send out parts that aren't the best i can make. (i am hoping you all dont take me up on this offer!)

It's difficult for me to pickup a camera and film updates while i am stressed and trying to solve these problems. The issues have been sorted now and i plan to film a video showing in detail whats been going on.

Thanks for your patience while I get things back on track.

Ben

I just got my Aroma-3 XL and I am extremely happy!
You should be proud, it's a beautiful work of engineering art.

I knew it would be big, I've had a similar sized grinder before but you forget just how big a 8cm grinder is!#
Its a massive beautiful unit though.

Hope you get the production wrinkles ironed out.

Thanks, ben.
