Hello guys.

New to the forum. Smoked for over 10 years, need to stop for the sake of my health. Stopped smoking cigs and use an e-cig now. Still smoke joints and want to stop combusting. Used to smoke bongs but realise it's obviously awful for you.

I've been looking at the evo cloud vapexhale - the hydratubes look great - huge clouds of vape.

I've seen the plenty vape fits hydratubes also - but I've not found a video where someone is using the plenty to get massive creamy clouds of vape like I've seen with the cloud evo.

Money isn't really an issue - but I don't want to end up buying twice as something is a disappointment.

Can you get massive clouds and hits off the plenty attached to some glass? I've been trying to find a video of it online but they all look a bit disappointing compared to the cloud evo exhale, can anyone vouch for the plenty attached to a hydratube or similar? I'm torn between the cloud evo and the plenty - plenty is cheaper, but will it give the same big hits?

Thanks in advance.

What draws you tonthe plenty its a company different vape compered to the cooud
the plenty is jot designed to be used with a bong sure you could fid a way but a unit with a glas ground connection would be better
If you want somthing that will perfom well wih a bong but cheaper then the cloud look at 7th floor units like a LSV and log vapes like the e nano or underdog

Smoke is smoke. You just get more per hit with a bong.

Sounds like you'll be disappointed in anything that won't provide "massive clouds". The VXL EVO will certainly do the trick.

Plenty got me to give up combustion a few years ago, go for it. Just keep in mind it really does perform best when used with the stock coil whip.

I think Lotus would also be a good fit for you. It is instantly satisfying IMO and fixes my craving to smoke.

...I could never go back. FUCK COMBUSTION.

Get a plenty and a daisy, and you will always have reliable clouds
Or the new mighty, just trying to keep it simple and provide for power outages.
The evo/lotus is also a great combo, if vaping through glass/water is a requirement:science:

I don't see a lot of love for it around these forums, but if you have a nice tube, the old school Vapor Brothers box and whip setup is a good place to start.

You can get the same thick throaty lung hits as you would with your bong, you get nice reclaim you can smoke or cook with, you can control them temp so if you want to toast the herb you can.

Its a good starting vape I think. They come with a pretty solid warranty too.

The Sublimator is hands down the best vape for this purpose. It'll take you a day to get your head around the vape, but nothing provides big enough rips except for this. I have not used the evo, but have used cloud plus and the sub leaves it for dead with clouds!

I was in the same situation and now I don't bother with my decades long joint habit because the sub is quicker to load, I have it always on and it gets me way more medicated from one hit than a whole joint would!

I respectively disagree (IMHO) ... the Cloud and EVO are still by far my favorite desktop big hitters ... I sold my Sublimator because it didn't see much use (but kept my 2 x EVO's)

Don't get me wrong ... I like the Sublimator, but for me the experience was just too cumbersome ... the simplicity of the EVO is wonderful (especially if you are a prior bong smoker :))

Were you using the 1.0 sub, or XLR 2.0?

I do not understand how the evo is more simple to use? The sub is literally a conepiece sitting on top of your bong with a hot element on top of it. You scoop .05-.1g of bud into it, put the heater on top and hit the bong.

Whereas with the evo, first you need to load and ELB, then cap the ELB, then put the ELB into the male 18mm gong sticking out of the evo, then connect the evo to your piece and hit. To cash the load, you need to pry the lid off the ELB and empty it, whereas with the sub you just grab the bowl by the handle and tip it upside down into your AVB container. This is easier than cashing a spent slide/conepiece from combustion, since AVB tends not to stick to the bowl like ash does.

The Sub XLR 2.0 is the best way to pack a bowl, punch it hard, empty it and start again. The evo is more of a session vape given the size of bowls and how long it takes to spend the bowl.

The sub is the only vape I have found that is convenient for tiny 1-hitter bowls. The rest take me too long to load and too long to cash.

I find the sub far less cumbersome because I can leave it sitting on my piece whereas with the cloud evo is too big and the piece falls over if I am not holding it. I am aware this is not the case with hydratubes, but for an ex bong smoker, why not use that existing piece?

Finally, the evo basically requires a hydratube or whip for concentrates, since the vapexnail can't be used upside down. The sub literally is an enail and will work on anything that can balance with the sub on it's GonG joint.

Remember, the XLR 2.0 atomizer has a miniscule downstem unlike the original sub.

I have connected and used the sub XLR 2.0 on mini oil rigs and used it without any dramas! It'll connect to literally anything so long as that piece has a broad enough base to stay standing, or you have the right kinds of drop-downs/adapters to use it.

I have never used an evo (doesn't work in my part of the world, but I know that many say the earlier clouds have higher heat capability) and the cloud plus does not get close to generating the same clouds as the sub off the same sized load!

Look at it, it just looks like an enail sitting atop the piece. You lift from the top handle to take the titanium heater (blue) off the titanium bowl (metal cone), drop in a spec of flowers and milk up your piece like crazy. Or just do a dab directly. See the chunk of smokey quartz on the table next to the bubbler? That is my dabber lol

He said the sub is cumbersome and I agree.
The sub takes a careful hand, that I just dont have.
Take the ELB out of the EVO, you wont have any chance of burning yourself, but the big ass bowl/atomizer of the sub is a danger, it can burn you when tapping the bowl out, or it can get stuck in the connection or even expand and break one.

knock the EVO over, you may break it, but you wont burn your house down/melt carpet/start a small fire like you could with the sub.

It is actually a bit unnerving even looking at your sub pic. I see all the forces on that cumbersome contraption like the tension on the glass connection, and the weight of the sub changing the centre of gravity of that thing and it just scares me a little.

I think thats a terrible idea. My first vape was a vapor brothers whip vape and it wouldnt make me quit smoking.

Whip/box vapes actually made me think for a long time that vaping was just a gimmick or fad. They just barely medicate me. It wasnt until I tried a volcano that I believed again that vaporizing could replace smoke.

I have a Cloud EVO and Sublimator and they are the only things comparable with a bong hit. JMO tho.

Dude, what you're seeing is a lazy boy piece (which by design slopes downward at the back) photographed at a diagonal angle. Not the weight of the sub changing the centre of gravity of the piece ;)

No, anything lego'd on top anything else like that changes the centre of gravity.
thats just basic physics.

Inverting an EVO on top of that piece would change the centre too. Just like you stated 2 posts up.

I'm not saying its not balanced, it just makes me feel that way, unnerving, especially because it will burn something if it falls.

I don't think this is a reasonable comparison. I leave my sub on top of that piece all the time (I live alone, no pets, no kids, no worries!) and it never falls. I could not leave an EVO on top of that for a week like I have with the sub without everything being broken. In fact, if the evo is anything like the Cloud Plus, I need to be holding it while it sits inverted on a piece because the second I let go the whole lot falls over in an expensive mess!

Fair enough people are scared of the sub burning them or something of theirs. I have not yet been burned. I am very clumsy. I am always utterly vaked. My sub is always on and I am always using it. Nothing of mine has been burned by it either!

I take safety precautions (only ever touch handles at a point at least 2-3 inches away from any hot metal, empty carbon filter so expanding teflon can't break the joint on the piece, I keep the handles turned at opposite directions to counterbalance one another etc).

Let me provide a second picture from a better angle:

Also perfect is the fact that the nail is right in front of your eyes when hitting the piece, perfect for seeing your dab turn to clouds before your eyes!

Well, the EVO can stand on its own.
So you would keep it detached, and only invert when you hit it.

The sub's heater must physically be removed. This is where it gets truly cumbersome, and the danger truly lies here. As it melted my carpet falling over on its own stand.

To each his own though.
I think its certainly reasonable that someone can be responsible and safe with a sublimator. just not me.
I think they should include an 18/14mm low pro adapter or 18/18mm piece similar to what you are using so it doesnt break the joint, because not everyone knows to get one, but it just makes the device that much more cumbersome needing one.

I agree that it should come with an adapter as you say, to protect joints - that being said I do not know of any member who has broken the joint on their piece with the sub, I am just paranoid! Still, protecting glass is a no brainer!

Also the stand really needs to be screwed/bolted down to a surface. It is simply not broad/heavy enough to hold the heater with the cord hanging off it in place! I can see how it might fall and that is definitely something to watch out for.

IME the sub is in a league of it's own for huge one hitters with milk rivalling combustion. There is a slight learning curb and there are some important safety precautions to take (this should be nowhere near children or pets!).

Learning curb is minimized with access to this place, and safety precautions are mostly outlined in this thread! Basically the golden rule is never touch any of the atomizer or heater, only handles. Keep it clean, use an appropriate piece (most 90 degree angle GonG pieces can be used so long as they are a mini rig or something too small to support the sub), secure that stand and you're sorted.

The obvious also applies, we must remember that the heater can only live on top of a secure atomizer (sitting in a stable piece which can support the weight of the sub), or on top of a secure stand (READ SCREWED/BOLTED/RIVETED DOWN!) clear of anything flammable or able to be damaged by heat.

The sub is definitely best used/viewed as a tool, not a consumer electronics device!

If you still have your vapor brothers box, try attaching the whip to a 14mm joint of a bong.

It might fit 18mm too, if not you'll need a GonG adapter.

In any event, turn the dial to 3/4 the way up, wait for it to get hot load like .3-.5 of herb and start hitting.

You've got to have some lung capacity here as the "thick milkshake" draw feel is strong but I guarantee you'll get a nice milky tube that will satisfy even the heaviest medication needs.

If you find it difficult to draw for long periods of time, the sub may be a better fit, IDK as I've never used it but I can say its not the most aesthetically pleasing vaporizer I've ever seen.

it looks like a UFO is trying to take over your bong

Edit: The first hit off of the whip/box vape is mostly essential oils and not active THC. After torching the first hit and giving the material in the vape a stir (this is essential with box/whip vapes, after almost every draw you need to stir the material up) the second and subsequent hits will yield the strongest and tastiest vapor.

Edit 2: The hits I can get off of a vapor brothers box and a nice bong are much, much more satisfying than hitting the volcano bag. There is something about building up a lot of thick vapor in a bong chamber and clearing it after already getting a lung full that a volcano just can't match.

It takes a little bit of learning, not much, but once you know how to do it its really a nice gizmo.

Ha the sublimator looks scary, bit too much for me.

Thanks for all the tips - ordered a daisy - looks brilliantly designed and seems to work really well. I like the fact it doesn't look too suspicious.

I'll look into something mains powered next year.

Thanks again - great forum!

Another recommendation for the EVO here. I had dabbled with vaporizing for a long time, but always drifted back to combustion. That changed completely once I got my EVO. It provides me with the massive hits I was craving, with amazing flavor and easy water filtration.

The Crafty/Mighty are new to the market, but I can tell you they are quite impressive. Especially for a portable. My Crafty gives me a portable option that doesn't make me miss my EVO when I'm not at home.

A little over 4 and a half years ago I picked up my first vape it was the vapor bros box. I knew very little about the vape world just trusted the quality of vapor bros well known box. I was never fully combustion free with that vape I found the first few months to a year straight using it at home but would still smoke blunts, bongs, bowls, and joints with friends. Last feb I picked up my first portable after months of reading thru threads on FC watching utube vids and any other info i could gather and put my money on the pinnacle pro. This vape got me as close to combustion free as i have every been. The ease of use and discreetness of the unit had this vape had it by my side everywhere i was at. With the awesome 420 sale i picked up the hammer for half off and was really blown away at how efficient this vape was and how much better it tasted then the pnp which is rather hot since the heating chamber is an inch from your mouth. With the hammer and pnp i was never using the vapor bros box and decided to part ways and pass it on. The only reason I would recommend the pnp is because its extremely inconspicuous and with the extend wood stem the Ed Tnt made it cools the vapor down and doesnt burn my lips like the short pgong that comes standard. The hammer is a great home vape i dont think i would use it much out in public, but camping, hiking and any activities that people r not all around the hammer is great for.

So to bring this history of personal opinion full cipher just yesterday I sold my bong and all the slides that i have had for over 8 years to a friend. and ordered the Vapman after reading such great reviews on the thread. I have decided that with the knowledge i have along with the 2 vapes i have the 3rd (vapman) on its way and a 4th (enano) saving up for I would commit to be totally combustion FREE. I dont want to be a bud snob and tell my friends thanks but no thanks i only vape now, but maybe with time they will see the true benefits of a smoke free life til then ill stick to my vapes and educate.

Hope you can find the right vaporizer for your needs, I was on the fence between the vapman and lotus for a couple weeks but did my research and went vapman in the end, I think it fits my needs a little better. I think a major part to this vapor craze is not to jump right in on the very first one u like. Take your time study up on whats out there but most importantly figured out how u plan to use the vapor and what u need from it. with FC on ur side u cant lose best of luck follow ur gut.

Thanks FC for helping my take the leap to commit and truly say FUCK COMBUSTION!!!!

Hey @herbivore21 ... really don't want to start the debates of one vs. the other (they are both great vapes ... and which one is better for each individual person will definitely vary)

For my use of the EVO .. I suck the load into the ELB, cap it ... take 2-3 hits and its gone ... then remove ELB and dump and one is done ... I also find the preheat time on the EVO can be much shorter if one wants (5-10 minutes) whereas the Sub takes a good 25 minutes to heat up (I had a 1.0 ... one of the first)

I also found the cleaning process for the Sub to be more tedious ... a daily wipe down with 99% ISO on the inside of my bamboo on the EVO and every few days wash some ELB's out with ISO ... but the process to clean the Sub and get the screen placed I found more tedious ... and once the atomizer was gunked up (which for me was max 2 days of use as I like my stuff very clean ... I find buildup increases harshness) was quite the pain to clean (it took me quite a bit of effort in comparison w/ cleaning a half dozen ELB's ...

So ... for me ...
- Sub and EVO produce equally good hits and can both cache .1-.2 in a few hits (equal here in my estimation)
- EVO is safer (I've never burnt myself on my EVO or Clouds ...)
- EVO heats up faster to usable temp
- EVO requires less regular maintenance and the regular cleaning it does require is much easier

Anyways ... like I said ... not trying to start a debate ... just putting my 2cents in as far as my preferences and why (they may not be the same as that of the OP ... or yours ... but that's what's interesting about this ... there's no one perfect vaporizer for every person ...)

So much choice and stuff to learn about!

Feels like starting e-cigs again - went through so many models and load outs before I was really happy - When trying to replace something you've done for years (joints / cigarettes) it's so vital that the replacement works as well as possible to give you little reason to slip into old habits. Using something that's prone to breaking or not working well is just bad.

Still think the cloud evo looks top, especially with a hydratube - the idea of bubbling it though, then removing it for the hit looks great. Showed vids to some buddies (who are still combusting but getting old like me and thinking of moving to vaping) and they can't believe it's not burning!

thanks again all - will report back when my daisy arrives - know I'll love it from the long thread about it though, high praise.
