I would not consider myself a level above, only motivated to learn.
I lost interest in the herb 30 years ago and reintroduced into my life a year ago at the age of 62.
Most of my knowledge was accumulated from forums like this and the internet.
It is an incredibly interesting and enjoyable product of which I have developed a passion to learn and experience.

I’m new to Cbd and curious whether long time use with full spectrum will provide a more stable and moderate care of my mood and my general wellbeing. Thc alone is too unpredicted with psychological effects.

One of the properties of CBD (cannabidiol) on it's own is that it helps with anxiety and depression.

You can get a full spectrum CBD without THC, or you can get various ratios in flower and concentrate that include THC to varying degrees (it helps with pain in particular). The more compounds present, the better the entourage effect (which is quite something when experienced).

Currently im trying to find the cheapest solution. I cannot afford 150$ per bottle for 1.5 months..

I'm sure you'll find many suggestions, I personally have been using both the full spectrum caps
and sublingual MCT oil from www.fullyactivated.net.

Do you want to avoid THC altogether? They are a good bet.

If you can deal with low THC, high CBD, depending on where you live, you should be able to find flower to fit the ratio you like.

You can find CBD cartridges that are all CBD, and varying ratios if you prefer concentrates.

Israel is problematic for Cbd import..
So very few options

What you've described here sounds exactly like my own situation. I spent a fair bit on oils – always with the uncertainty of whether or not the product actually contains any CBD whatsoever.

I've since then – over the last 3 months or so – been purchasing strains high in CBD, with low or moderate THC levels. Right now I've got in my reserves: Dancehall (my favorite high-CBD strain right now); CBD Death Bubba; Cannatonic; Dieseltonic; Pink Berry; and Ease (a "legal" Canadian [OCS] product).

Each of these has different CBD/THC levels, so I can tailor the affect to my changing desires and needs.

I am a micro-doser (and what I would consider a "light-weight" at that).

I feel as though this approach has provided a good bit of stabilization of my mood and anxiety levels. It most certainly has helped my long-running sleep disturbance issues.

And my dreams have returned – which I consider one of the biggest and greatest bonuses in my return to cannabis after some 20 years or so of hiatus.

If you are in Canada, look up "Pure Pulls" pens. They offer a 50/50 CBD/THC (CO2 extracted) cartridge/pen called "Jack Therapy" that has served me well.

Israel should be flush with CBD!!! What gives??

It is the heart of cannabis R&D.

I will tell you soon...
@looney2nz Israel's drug policy is a joke considering all breakthroughs done here.
legalize is a distant dream,
and now they even banned importing CBD even as food supplamnet.
complete idiots.
the biggest irony is that now they will EXPORT medicinal MJ to the world.

anyway, there are very few options to get good CBD oil here.
as said above, these days a 2000ml bottle of 20% full spectrum is 150$
if i had money i would surly start using it without hesitation, as i prefer a stable CBD effect
over THC micro dosing.
as for finding illegal CBD strains here, forget it.

yea, well.at least we have a pretty nice underground Telegram system with nice strains.
but i wouldn't touch any oils there.

<heavy sigh> :(

hey, so what are the laws of the state when it comes to making your own concentrate?

could you run something like the Source Extractor (ethanol based concentrate system)?

I've read articles about it being used medically for senior citizens pretty widely, but I take it that is limited to some particular format? Flower? Capsules? Same thing for military dealing with PTSD, TBI, etc.

quite baffling! and if you're interested in being a startup in the industry?

They are quite proud of their startups in other parts of industry.

a surprisingly myopic view of the applications and markets.

So they look the other way while folks use Telegram or Signal? Baby steps.

Be well @rozroz

we do have medical permit but it's basically illegal (except "lucky" people who can hardly get a medical usage permit).
nowdays they will not open a police file on you if you get caught with small personal doses.
the CBD issue is ridiculous cause their main reason is that you can still make THC with it.. just plain ignorance IMO.

WHAT???

Who's making the argument that you can make THC out of CBD???

Good lord.

What are the requirements to receive a medical permit? What ailments qualify?
The PR coming out of Israel is vastly different from the actual practice and law :(

well see how even you didn't question if it's legal or not to use it here.
i bet if you google it you'll find out what i told you.
new science and tech do come from here but it has nothing to do with the law.
(hell this is the Mecca of THC science ffs)
today the accepted medical MJ export, a purely financial decision of course.

the argument about THC out of CBD is just stupidity. they probably learned that there are many uncontrolled CBD makers out there so if there are slightly above min. THC % it could be purified and used.. that's my guess.

I thought Israel had developed a CBD strain a while ago.

Israel developed many strains, and of course some are more CBDed.
that doesn't change the fact that without a permit I could only get a few decent strains via Telegram,
while CBD products are either fake or unavailable.
they hardly give medical permit. only if you have cancer or "similar".

Solar Dabs
Here there are medical permits, but only for specific preparations and specific illnesses. And even if they accept: the 2-3 official preparations available are extremely expensive and insurance doesn't accept costs. Plus they only cover a couple of the symptoms you can treat with cannabis.
CBD only is pretty much available here, but I think much more expensive than what you can get.

I too read some euphoric stories from Israel and thought the situation would be different.

Do you guys think CBD and THC "cooperate" well (entourage, whatever you want to call it) only if ingested at the same time, or can you say, ingest full spectrum CBD in a vape, then load a THC strain and vape that immediately afterwards to the same effects?

ps I'm so disappointed in reading you need to take in 150-600mg CBD for social anxiety and other anxiety issues, according to a study linked around here often.

If 3.5g of good quality CBD flower is $30, those 3.5g would contain about 500-700mg of CBD. Meaning it's like $10-30 for one dose to be effective? That sounds... yeah

Maybe if consumed with THC it makes more sense? But CBD full spectrum flower now sounds bogus TBH

(full disclosure, only gleaned over that study, and it is one study. idk if lower doses were played with and ruled out or just not attempted, etc, but it's a study I see linked often)

wanted to ask, as a recreational user,
who wants to lower the THC high for some CBD mental benefits...
are there any?
can you guys tell me if you actually notice some psychological benefits with CBD usage?

i personally need a more relaxed, focused, and well being mind,
will that help or it's hasn't really proven itself in your experience?

tnx.

I think CBD can be very relaxing without the accumulative exhaustion that THC can bring to the table. I have a 3:1 CBD:THC strain right now that I find quite enjoyable.

can you somehow describe how the CBD effects you, opposed to THC?
(i would be more precise and say microdosing THC- not full blown high)
no exhaustion, as you said.. relaxing.

i ask because i mostly use THC to be creative at work or at evening,
and it makes me more peaceful and less negative.
and also for sleep.

and since getting genuine quality CBD stuff here is rare,
i thought of getting some CBD buds, and adding a bit THC when needed.

using D-limonene could enliven THC enough to not be lethargic... "Taming THC " by Russo" explains it.
maybe even other agents to boost more catalyst mechanisms instead of the classical cannabinoid activation of hydrolytic mechanisms

I like to use broad spectrum CBD distillate, or CBD rich co2 oil; the thing about these products is there is a lot more going on than just CBD. It's the whole host of other cannabinoids and compounds which make for the effects, isolated CBD by itself is not relaxing "enough" to me. But IMO, broad spectrum distillate, containing CBD, CBG, CBC, CBN, etc + cannabis derived terpenes makes for a nice calm, relaxing vape experience; without anxieties or the laziness that can come from THC doses. I actually think the CBN and not CBD adds quite a bit to the relaxing effect, I believe CBN can be a hard compound to produce at vaporization temperatures due to it being formed as a result of degradation; and I hypothesize one reason why chronic pain sufferers often describe superior pain relief with combustion. I feel that CBN can provide a "stoney" feeling, without the fog that THC can induce.

I often vaporize citrus oils during a cannabis session, would be interesting to compare the effects after olfactory stimulation of D-limonene in those essential oils. IIRC Russo says just smelling your cannabis is enough to stimulate the olfactory and modulate the effects/delivery of cannabinoids, so I always make a habit of getting a good whiff of whatever I plan to vaporize these days, just in case it helps modulate something! :D
