@herbivore21 how's that slim line 1.4 base look like?
Any idea when Sapphire Halos might be released to the public?
Recently I've been doing "cold drops" in my SiC dish:
Load up a hit in COLD nail.
Carb cap the nail (NO peeking!).
Heat to temp one would normally use for the loaded concentrate.
Wait until one sees faint vapor trail escaping the carb hole (normally ~600*).
Draw hard for instant white wall of full flavor, mmmmmmmm ...
Seems like a super efficient way to dab (not to mention tasty) as the effects are quite heady.
For hit #2 I'll crank up the temp and drop on the Sapphire insert painted with concentrate.
White wall isn't as intense, but the flavor profile is more complex.
Anyone else doing this on the SiC dish?
I borrowed the technique from the HE carb cap thread so I doubt that person was using a SiC dish (or a flat coil? not sure on HE set-up specifics).
But it seems that a flat coil combined with the great thermal conductivity of SiC (read somewhere that it vaporizes the concentrate into smaller particulates?) greatly aids the efficacy of this method.
I highly recommend it.
Might try the cold drop load, then put the Sapphire insert on top to see how this affects heating/taste.
