Man do I wish I had used a Weedeater for my very first vape experience, it would of saved myself lots of cash and time wasted.

The glass bowls for my needs work great with the WE. I like the size, the taste is better and no stirring needed. The double weave screens stay in bowl better then the single weave screen, no issues. Per bowl I use 1 to 1.5 pax tool scoop, either fine grind from BCG or FM with a flat tamped load. I usually get 2 hits per bowl and then just tap out an avb puck with no stirring. I tried to get that same consistency and the simple use with the shovelhead but had no luck?

Out of the 4 NV glass bowls I have the 14mm that is the shortest and flat top is my favorite, dirty one in picture :D Its about 3/8 deep to the screen which sits about right for the WE head. The whole WE head surrounds the load then and gives a little conductive heat from the sides which makes for more even roast. The other taller bowls work good but leave a slight lighter avb around the glass edge. I was thinking about trying to file/grind the taller round top bowls to 3/8 depth or even shallower, any suggestions? The flat edge glass bowl top compared to the rounded edge seals better and holds the WE head more even across when going hands free.
So I would prefer a glass bowl no deeper than a 1/2 inch, heck I would try even a 3/16 deep bowl, using lower temperatures is always a plus for me. The dimple screen seems to stay cleaner and is a little more flowing than the older honeycomb glass screen. The extended handle from the older bowl is nice but makes sense to use it without.

Good luck with finding a replacement glass blower and thank you for your awesome products!

I played around with converting old combustion glass bowl to fit my FP. I used a belt sander to grind away the glass. Slow and stead, not allowing the glass to get to hot, and a fine grit were what worked for me. Here is a post that has a picture of what one of the ground glass bowls looks like.

Thank you for the info. :tup:I don't own a belt sander but I might try a flat Velcro backed sanding disk I have with different size grit pads in my drill press on its slowest speed. Probably could even keep it somewhat wet to help with dust and hold temperature steady, worth a shot. Ill be back after with my results.

Hi guys!
I picked up a Weedeater head and 14mm glass bowl at Black Friday. What made it easier was that I won a cool dab rig here on FC and it came with Auber controller so I didn't have too much to buy to get into this, after wanting one for years.
I cheaped out and skipped a stand, so I use a gravy boat on a plate to hold it!
My initial thoughts are that it is a seriously high powered convection vape heat exchanger that vapes very evenly, and is fun to use on a bubbler/bong for strong head high effects!
But also it can get interesting with heatsoaking the glass bowl with powerful hybrid, radiant vape type results. I turned the vape down about 30C and heatsoaked it on there about 1m 45seconds and it works really great as a one hit with thoroughly done abv.
It was great to have the flexibility to swap between those two modes with the same vape, just at the flick of a dial and timing things different!

My glass bowl prongs were a bit unlevel and I felt this made it hard to stop a single titanium screen always jumping out of place, but I came up with a kinda way to hold it some bit steady for now. Took a lot of stress and thinking though haha! Phew.
I look forward to working out a stand and a handle.

One thing that held me back posting more thoughts, is that I might have overwhelmed, or found the limits of my bubbler with this vape and felt a bit burnt on the tongue and even deep in my lungs after some WE experiments to see what she can really do!
I think I read about something similar in this thread recently but does that sound right?
Mine is a little 17cm (6.75 inch) high, bell shaped bubbler which uses 100ml of water. I even fitted a drop down and it helped a little but that's not ideal. It works just fine on the end of a whip vape or with tamer vapes.
I feel a little bit limited what i can get (EU) but have seen one or two bongs I like the look of for me (mainly for sitting back in a chair with WE FP, and I don't really need to do a long heatsoak) and might look into buying one at discount for 4/20.

Can anybody help me choose the best of these EHLE offerings for the Weedeater with herbs and glass bowl?

42cm (16.5")high x 40mm. 3.2mm wall, Straight w/diffuser stem (and no carb, unlike in pic) - €102.30 shipped:
grace145grn.jpg

24cm (9.5")high, vertical diffuser percolator - €162.40 shipped currently:
diffusorbong_1.jpg

37cm (14.5in)high, 50mm, 5mm wall Straight w/diffuser stem - €164.10 shipped
5mm145gerade7.jpg

Or there's this shape:
kugelgerade145gelb(1).jpg

(A diffuser downstem is €10 more and ends in small holes instead of a plain cut end downstem)

The straight bongs look comfortable to me, and fun to look through in use, but any advice from WE veterans here is welcome, or on any others from the EHLE site there.
I know another site but dont have much better hopes for it!
Just looking to use the Weedeater to it's fullest with decent, cheap-ish cooling and just enough draw restriction to work great without having a carb cap just now.
What do ye think? Thanks!

The pressure change experienced by using a carb cap is never that much, because the air inlet itself prevents you from ever pulling any considerable vacuum.
You don't need vacuum for there to be pressure change, the only reason air moves into a bong at all is because of pressure change. Putting a carb cap on increases draw resistance, making you suck harder and thus lowering the pressure on the lung (low pressure source) side of the orifice (the cap).
Is it a huge pressure change, no. Human lungs can comfortably pull ~0.1 ATM, it's obviously less pressure than that, so you could be blasting off like 500 feet if you rip it hard hehe. To the moon!

That would be my pick, vertical downstem is very nice to be able to hang the head on if needed, and that style should give you the most diffusion/cooling of the bunch.
I take it you can't easily order Chinese glass from say DHGate to Germany easily? I thought you just had to pay import duty.

The tall beaker will hit differently when compared to the bubbler rig/style on the FP. You can really milk those beakers but it's a bit of a chore after a while. Nice to have as an option which is one of the benefits of the FP, can use so many different glass configurations.

Yeah that's looking a bit like one on the Newvape site too, 9.5 inches, bent neck, diffuser.
Thanks for your input!
I never tried DHG yet but buying direct from this maker it should arrive faster than China, good chance of satisfaction and yeah no duty and extra postal or higher courier admin charges from within EU, but mostly less chance of uniform man opening this to make decisions on overall legality and value of items, and accuracy of description.
Even receiving a 4/20 type item without issue which has been opened and inspected by officials sends a chill down my spine like they might have added it into my "general notes" section on the mainframe lol!!
Also I would kinda like to see the quality of that EHLE stuff, if their sale is not great maybe I'll just grab one of the cheapest ones there to keep me going and look into DHGate afterwards. Thanks again!

The thought did cross my mind to maybe try and pick up two cheaper styles from that site instead of trying to figure out which one wIll work best for me!
Thought the straight bong would be a cool novelty and easy clean, but the perc's vertical diffuser slits should work pretty decent with flowerpot. Thanks!
My lungs don't need any extra work!

That is only slightly hotter than my usual temp of 666. It's not giving you any other problems like the vapor being to hot or strong? I'm sure I don't have to tell you can turn it down and adjust your draw but that temperature should not be causing the handle to be uncomfortable. Just for a laugh how long is the rod from the heater head to the handle? Mine looks like a inch and a half
just a little update, I ordered Jute (burlap) webbing, and it's all set! the last layer is held together with soft velcro straps, but the bulk of it is held together tightly by zip ties.

@NewVape710 Any news on how the new shipping regulations may or may not effect you guys?

Would really like to wait till a 420 sale for a few extra’s (oh heck, a tbucket setup lol) but also a little worried how things will play out in the next couple weeks.

We are going to ship from "custom instruments" remove all labeling, instructions, and try and make the package be as discrete as possible. Vrod, shovelhead, and weedeater replacement metal parts. You can always visit Palm Beach Florida for a factory tour and order pickup. Let's hope this all blows over.

One nice thing with DHG is that the prices are low enough you can experiment with styles to see what you like, then buy a higher quality version if you think you need to. I've been impressed with the stuff I've received, and while I'm no expert I've owned plenty and known many glass blowers. Shipping is hit or miss at least to the US, quick for most things (2-3 weeks) but sometimes you get one that takes months randomly. You guys have epacket shipping as well, it's all tracked and I don't think it would be that bad for ya.
I remember those chills, still so thankful I'm in a legal spot.

Just use a private shipper, screw USPS. They blow anyway.

I can't even do uncapped flower hits at this point. Uncapped is a little too airy for me.

EDIT: Oh wow, they are all doing it. 2021 and the tobacco lobby still has this much control, insane. Might be time to label things "aroma therapy" again like 20 years ago.

The VROD is practically unusable for me and I'm hoping some of you have some advice. I have a VROD, Solo 2, Dynavap, and oilpens. I can use all of them pretty much without issue except the VROD. It's just so harsh/dry/hot I'm not really sure what the issue is.

I've slowly lowered the temp from 665 to 620 and even tried putting ice in my water piece (which honestly just seemed to make it even worse), but it's not really making a difference or getting any easier. I even took a week break from the VROD where I only used the solo/dynavap without problems, but first time trying the vrod again my throat is destroyed and I can't stop coughing in pain (to the point where I couldn't even finish the bowl). One interesting thing I've noticed is if I really slow down my draw it's ok going in, but breathing it out feels soooo harsh/dry/something.

At this point I'm just kind of desperate hoping some of you have some advice so I don't feel like I wasted $500. I've done capped/uncapped, light/tight packing, ice/room temp water, etc... It's confusing to me because I don't understand how a dyna almost at the point of combustion fully extracting in 2 hits is irritating my throat less than a VROD hit that's not even strong enough to extract the flower in 6+ pulls.

It took me a week or two to adjust to the VROD vape, and I came from combustion bong rips. I think you just need to give it some time maybe, what kind of rig are you using?

For reference I run it a bit hotter then everyone else (for the most part), if capped I do 700 on the auber and uncapped @ 740.

Did you try it at even lower like 500 maybe? Try it with some fresh herb?

I have the NV hempwick enail handle, and I am looking for something to wrap around the handle. This winter my right hand is extremely cracked b/c the enail handle is too hot. any recommendations? It would be cool to see 3rd party stuff too. Thanks

That's very odd. Have you reached out to Newvape about this to see if there is something wrong?

I leave mine on at 666F all day long (sometimes for 10 - 15 hours or more when I'm home on a weekend), and my handle has NEVER gotten hot. In fact, it's not even warm at the end closest to the Flowerpot head. Mine's been on for about three hours right now, and I just put my bottom lip against that flat metal part of the handle closest to the flowerpot head (the part not wrapped by hempwick), and it's cool to the touch of my sensitive lip. Even the metal part of the actual coil right in front of the handle (that sticks out of that end of the handle) is just a little warm if I pick up the whole assembly by holding onto that spot (some people use it that way without even owning the aluminum handle parts) With my fingertips.

Sounds like something unusual may be going on.

No doubt. My handle is closer than it is supposed to be and never gets hot no matter what the temp or time it is left on.
