Is anyone here using a High Five Enail + 20mm coil with a VROD? Wondering if it pairs well or at all, would save me a lot of money if I didn't have to buy an Auber as well. Thank you!

On the weed eater vs vrod debate I go for the weed eater, cause I only use flower and I haven't tried the vrod. Weed eater rips though!

I use a old high5 controller, and a cheap coil from the dabbing specialist. As long as the coil has the counter clockwise shape to fit the vrod head it will work.

I've been using my weedeater for a couple days, and I love it! I'm learning that a very slow draw speed can make finding the right temperature difficult though. Does this bud look burnt? had it set to 600

That does not look burnt at all. I'd get a few more hits out of that.

No, there is not too slow of a draw speed.
For draw speed, you really have to experiment a lot to find your sweet spot...and your sweet spot and my sweet spot (and anyone else's sweet spot, for that matter) will probably be different. Basically, the slower the draw the lower the temp you can use. The faster the draw, the higher temp you can use.

If I'm in the mood for quick strong bong hits, like when I used to combust my herb, I'll turn the temp up in the 680 to 700 range. But when I'm in the mood for longer slower draws, I'll use a temp closer to 620 to 660...even lower if I really want to sip it.

I don't own a glass bowl, but from what I've read, the main issue they were trying to address with the 2nd gen is the screen slippage issue that many complained about with the first gen glass bowl.

Picked up an Auber PID and all the other pieces necessary to run the VROD on a 14mm. Really really excited about this. I rarely use concentrates, but went with the VROD for when it is available to me, but I didn't at the time order the carb cap. Is this something I'll need on the VROD for flower or is it preference?

Good choice on the VRod. You’ll be fine without the carb cap for now. I would try to grab one eventually. It adds another set of variables to play with and for me, most importantly, it allows me to run my VRod at lower temps. Oh and FYI somewhere a couple pages back @Zangano Cruel showed that you can carb with pretty much anything. Welcome to the Family!

I should have maybe ordered the carb cap with it, I didn't think I'd need it, but I see that it can be used with flower now. I'll probably pick one up at some point, but if it's not needed now I can wait, but I'd definitely appreciate some flexibility in how I use it.

It was pretty random stuff. Like an ice scoop for example. Maybe try a spoon or a shot glass. Anything that won’t melt of off gas.

Can't tell as it's prohibition land. I'm positive it's been removed cos I was able to create an address prior. Now, I can't even use the previously created address.

I guess it may be due to my request during Black Friday? CS said they could make standard shipping available to me, but just not on Black Friday. You won't need the carb cap for flower. Some people like to use the carb cap with flower, but I don't. I like to draw faster than that with flower, and I don't like the forced restriction on my lungs. I find it uncomfortable.

However, I would not want to use concentrates in my VROD without the carb cap.
I would say that you definitely want the carb cap to use with concentrates.

The Ion V1 looks incredible but since I just spent $120 on the glass from NewVape I’m not sure it’s worth another $370 in better quality. If I hadn’t bought the NewVape glass I woulda gone this direction. Anyways, just curious if it’s that major of an upgrade or not?

I have a knockoff Mobius Matrix from th'Gate, and it works wonderfully...So I'm sure the real thing would be great.

I don't have the piece from New Vape, but I think it's a Thick Ass Glass piece, so it should be pretty good. The Mobius is very likely a step up in performance. Worth the extra cost? To me, it would be, but I also prefer the style of the Mobius.

My two favorite glass pieces are an old TAG Klein Incycler and the OG Mobius Ion:



If I could only keep one, it'd be the Mobius, even though I REALLY love that TAG piece.

I have a weedeater and recently got my hands on some concentrates(never happens). I was thinking is it okay to put concentrates through the top and then use the carb cap? Am I better off just mixing a bit of wax with herb and using it as normal?

Also, what are people's preferred temps for vaping wax+herb(twax) or just wax alone in the weedeater?

Any footage of some twax hits I can look at?

Got my Vrod setup in today, but I've been staring at the Auber Rdk for 30 mins now and it refuses to heat over 563f. I've checked the parameters and don't see an issue. Any thoughts?
